“We stayed in the Annex for a couple of nights and went out for a walk one evening this week looking for a place to have dinner. Stumbled across this cozy pub with a nice backyard deck and were very glad to have done so. The server (I regret not getting his name) was INCREDIBLY kind and attentive, offering to get crayons and paper for our 5 year old daughter even though there was no kids menu, and then even drew a bunny - her favourite animal - by hand so she had something to colour. The food itself was good also, the fish and chips I had was cooked to perfection and my wife enjoyed her steak frites. We will definitely be returing here in future the next time we are in the area.“

“This is my favourite pub in Toronto as it has the best selection of beers, great food and volumes in which you can have a proper conversation!
And as an Ed Sheeran fan, Alecia always makes sure we get some Ed songs on the playlist 😆

“Watched the game here earlier and had a great experience. Mae was an awesome server! Our drinks were never empty, which was a nice change from most other bars that are busy during the soccer games.

“the auld spot is my go to on the danforth. i love the servers and the owner and the chef rob. the food is good and the cocktail , wine list , and craft beers are exceptional. there are also daily specials and in the summer they have a patio. just an easy friendly neighborhood place. the place is always full which speaks for the quality of the food and place“

“I've been to Tengo KTV three times now. The man working on weekdays is incredibly sweet and provides great service. It's very easy to find English songs through Youtube on their system, and they will help you set it up. Pricing is reasonable as well, especially compared to other karaoke places in Markham.“

“The service is excellent and waitstaff are very good and very friendly. Some of the food items though are not that great. I had the nachos one time, and wanted to order them with ground beef instead of chicken. When I got it, it was chunks of steak, not ground beef. If they had told me they didn't have ground beef I would have ordered something else. I also asked that they take out the jalapenos as I cannot eat them. It was COVERED with jalapenos and even some hidden in the cheese. I did not enjoy them and ate 1/4 of it. I should have sent it back but I already had substitutions and didn't want to be a trouble customer. At another visit I ordered the bruschetta. This is NOT bruschetta. It is on naan bread, not a traditional bun. Instead of chunks of tomatoes and onions, it was slices of tomato and a couple of slices of onion, and covered in feta cheese. That is not bruschetta, I was highly disappointed. They do have some great menu items, the goulash is outstanding as is the chicken linguine and shrimp pasta. Their onion soup is really good, the onion rings and poutine are also very good. I was just disappointed in the two dishes I had.“

“We decided to go there for a late lunch the other day after our Irish son-in-law suggested that this was possibly the best place in town to try an Irish spice bag. It certainly didn’t let us down. The food came fairly rapidly and was extremely fresh. Our waiter, Cameron was extremely helpful in recommending that the spice bag could easily satisfy two hungry adults. Washing this down with a nice pour of Guinness was the best thing you could imagine.

The atmosphere was terrific. There was a band playing in the background. They were doing contemporary music as a two-piece band. This made for a very enjoyable afternoon. We chose to stay at the back of the restaurant where it was a little quieter, enabling us to carry on a conversation.

Definitely not a spot to bring rambunctious kids, but mine was mellowed and the burger was proper, the staff were authentic and serviced us well. The vibe was indie and cute, very date night or catch up with friends energy. I'm a sober person but the drinks menu made me consider drinking again haha. These folks do food right. No weird experimental things on the menu. Just good options and actual potato fries! I will be back with adult friends, an my kid again too. Also appreciated the humor our server had. Apparently Tuesday is oyster night.“

“The Mezz is a great place to have a drink with friends. Gabe (bartender) was really nice and the service was amazing. I went on Jan 25 when the snowstorm hit so the kitchen was closed, but the drinks were great (cranberry juice with vodka is amazing). Staff were very kind and supportive when a man was bothering me, and I would definitely recommend this place for women who are alone (or anyone, really)!

“I'm from Mississauga but was in the Vaughan area this evening. Did a google search of nearby sports bars and The Mills Taphouse & Grill came up in my search. I quickly checked their online menu and decided to go there. Had some great food and awesome, friendly service from Melissa. Looks like an awesome place to catch a Leafs or Raptors game in future and this great first impresion will definitely bring me back. 👍👍“

“I know they open very early for the amazing breakfast menu, but my only disappointment is that the kitchen closes too soon at night. Maybe they should announce last call for food like they do for alcohol as 1030pm seems very early when people need to absorb the drinks while enjoying the amazing LIVE local talent on Saturday nights. 10/10 for Mark, Reno & the Chefs :)“
