“I'm a long time patron of the Brogue. Overall, it's a great place to have a few pints. My concern is for the gradual, but steady decrease in food quality / taste. In the past, the chef's worked hard to create great entries - keeping in mind this is a cool pub - the food was great. The last few years, the quality, selection and taste of the foods decreasing. Hopefully they turn it around soon.“
“Came for Saturday night karaoke and had a blast!Tina, the bartender, was awesome! Fast, accurate and friendly service. She was running solo in a packed bar and never missed a beat!Food was delicious, I'd dare say the best wings I've ever had!! “Don't judge a book by it's cover.This place is a little 'dated'. It has a varied menu with great food. I've had at least five meals there in the last five months and all have been tasty. Healthier options than typical pub food are also available. Prices are very reasonable.And kudos to Rick and team for raising so much money for Toys for Tots over the last years. I believe that the total is well over $1 million. For a small community pub, that is quite an accomplishment.“

“I visited this place quite a few years ago. Vowed I’d never go back. My friend suggested we get wings here because there was new management. I attended today. We were immediately greeted with friendly staff. Hellos were received when we walked in. Everyone was pleasant. My wings weren’t perfect but our server - Ellen - corrected the issue immediately. She is very friendly and attentive. Ellen was amazing! My friend’s wings were perfect. Ellen treated us well. She was perfect and treated us as if we were her first customers. Highly recommended. “We went here on a date night. Although we have seen this place several times before, this is the first time we walked in. The interiors are bright with lively music and lots of tvs playing sports channels. Not too crowded for a Thursday night, just the way we liked it. The server was friendly and attentive, the beers are priced great with a lot of options. The pitchers are also moderately priced. We went in for the wings and burgers . The service was prompt and the food tasted amazing. Can't wait to get back and try some more of their menu options. Great place, the pictures don't do it full justice.“

“Great place on campus to get affordable food. The daily special is usually around $10-13 with a main, side, and drink. The staff is nice and friendly and is usually never slow. The food is fair from its price, the daily special is usually a burger which is descent and occasionally they have wings which are 12 for $12!The main issue is that the kitchen is small so the time from the line to getting your food can take a while when your strapped for time. Maybe the university of the pub could look into upgrades to speed up kitchen times or expand the building as a good chunk of the student body eat from here.Update: the atmosphere could also be improved, it's supposed to be a pub but feels alot like a cafeteria. Small changes could be made to give it a better atmosphere“

Gave great suggestions for gluten-free food! and the Canadian version of a Bloody Mary, a Bloody Caesar-deliscious!Beautiful old building, yet clean and obviously cared for. Us visitors felt welcome in an obviously neighborhood gem locals' spot.And the food! You could taste the pride in their plates. I've never had a burger outside my kitchen taste better! Wow ghost burger for the win (went with the holiday appropriate decor). And after one bite my partner had no other desire than to eat every last homemade chili cheese nacho, lol!Well done Franklin House ????! A side of yam fries and you’re good to go. Service is great too!Note: there is sometimes a line up to get in, but it moves quickly and is worth it. You won’t be disappointed.“
“I came here with family for lunch on St Patrick’s day. At first, we were nervous, because the place was loud, especially when the crowd cheered the soccer match. However, the crowd grew quiet to enjoy the Irish step dancers. The Lionheart pub has a small stage that is well-suited to these dancers, and the entertainment was a lovely surprise.The food was quite tasty. Well-prepared comfort food. I enjoyed the corned beef sandwich.On such a crowded day, of course service was a little slow. However, the staff were amazing. We were a large group, and they offered to create separate checks. They never rushed us, and let us enjoy our time, despite a long line waiting to get in.“
