“This was a highlight of our trip to Ottawa! It was difficult to find a good variety of gluten free options downtown. The Orange Turtle was amazing! They had multiple gluten free cookies to choose from as well as many other yummy gluten treats. The mango cranberry banana bread was delicious. The owner was very kind and friendly as we enjoyed chatting with him. The coffee was also very good. We will be going back here next time we are in Ottawa.“

I'm happy to say that it was perfect for me. It's less sweet that the typical cookies from a supermarket. But it's not so low in sugars that it's diabetic friendly.“

Keerthi is such a kind, respectful, supportive woman and is incredibly talented. Her pricing is great, her cake flavour combinations are delicious, she makes the best bento sized sample cakes (large enough for the whole family to do the tasting with you) and is an effective communicator. We chose a two tier cake and she knocked the look and flavours of each tier out of the park. We would definitely contact her again for future events. “First visit on Friday did not disappoint. Needed some post competition treats (Ottawa Naturals) and Voila Gluten Free Bakeree was exactly what I was looking for. Picked up cookies, brownie, pop tarts, baguette, black forest cupcakes and cheese bread. “I was looking for a good sourdough bread and I think I’ve found my neighborhood bakery. The breads I picked up are made with natural sourdough and have that typical tangy flavor I love. The crumb is airy and beautifully open, which is quite unusual for a sandwich loaf. On the palate, the chew is generous, with great elasticity and consistency in the crumb — you can tell the baker really masters his craft. A wonderful discovery, and I can’t wait to try the other products. Another big plus is the warm welcome: I had a great chat with the baker and her colleague, both of whom were really friendly.“

“A hidden gem! Don't let the size of this place fool you, the flavours are BIG and it is one of the best bakeries in Ottawa.
There is so much to like about this place, their breakfast croissant sandwiches are one of the top favorites in Ottawa. The lunch pizza focaccia are to die for with usually 3 options, a vegetarian, meat and a vegan choice - my favorite is the vegetarian.

My go-to is their Wonton soup! It's so yummy and filling! I live in the east end but my offices are only a 10-minute walk from their location, so i was worried that the pandemic might force them to close but luckily, they are still the best hidden gem on Bank Street! Depending on my work schedule I go there once or twice a week because I crave their comfort food! I LOVE Golden Baguette!!“
