“Finally got a chance to go into Orange Turtle this morning and I'm so glad I did! I got a blueberry & almond scones and it was still warm - delicious!! And good portion sizing & notably quality ingredients. Their coffee is a nice roast and not too pricey. I got each shortbread cookie offered today to go and I'm excited to try.

I have followed them on Instagram for a bit and their tarts & other baked goods are always meticulous. I wasn't expecting the friendly charming atmosphere as well. I'll be back for sure.“

“Came in to check out this Local Small Business and get some breakfast, I’d met Esther a couple weeks ago in my daily life and she was wonderful to talk to, So I decided to check it out since we shared a love for Baking. I got a traditional breakfast with 2 eggs, bacon, homefries, sauteed onions and bell pepper (I didn’t hear her mention the peppers when she asked me about onions, but I was so happy to have them), and toast. I also got a salted caramel latte with my meal, and for my friends birthday later today, I got 2 cupcakes: one biscotti, and one oreo nutella, as well as a salted caramel bar. I’m super picky about my baked goods, as a baker myself, but they were excellent. My friend enjoyed his cupcakes and I loved my salted caramel bar, even the bottom layer had a lovely subtle sweetness and pleasant melty texture. Thank you Esther! Love the passion you bring to your wonderful bakery!“

“Popping in here quickly to mention the kindness of who I think was the owner of the Scone Witch - my sister and I poked our heads in as we had parked on the street for some other errands. When she found out that we had never been there before, she was keen on offering us a complimentary scone. “My wife and I hired Keerthi to design and make the wedding cake for our October wedding, and I couldn't be happier with the warmth and care that she put into making sure the cake was just perfect for us! We tried quite a few flavours and ended up sticking with the maple apple cake, which went along with the fall vibes of the wedding perfectly! I was worried that our request for a black cake would be difficult to pull off, but she knocked it out of the park and the guests at our wedding were RAVING about it.

“I have been going to Golden Baguette for about 10 years now! Everything is fresh and tasty with great prices. The owners are a lovely couple always greeting me with a warm smile. My go-to is their Wonton soup! It's so yummy and filling! I live in the east end but my offices are only a 10-minute walk from their location, so i was worried that the pandemic might force them to close but luckily, they are still the best hidden gem on Bank Street! Depending on my work schedule I go there once or twice a week because I crave their comfort food! I LOVE Golden Baguette!!“

A trick is coming first thing early morning and they are super fresh. They are very friendly and always smiling when working. I've been to other meat pie stores and this is the best quantity and quality of pies in Ottawa region.

I have had a shawarma poutine in the shawarma side of the store and they are good as well!“

“Best buns in town.
No kidding. I rarely can get such crusty on the outside soft in the inside kind of FRESH buns. Their bags of buns are all $4.50 each. They have small buns hamburger buns subway buns etc. The best thing is if you freeze them right away you can defrost them in 2 months and they are still good as new. I think they don’t use preservatives so you must freeze them right away. Their danish and pastries are very tasty. I love their almond pastry the best. It’s heavenly.
Last but not least, the lady behind the counter is so sweet and friendly. I feel so welcomed in there.
