Great new bakery in Beaverbrook with nut and gluten free options! Laura (owner/baker) is very welcoming and her cooking classes are a great way to develop your cooking/baking skills. Would highly recommend!
On Aug 27th while visiting our long time friends in south surrey we went for a walk around Morgan creek golf course and happened to stop at this beautiful looking coffee shop and combination restaurant to get a few cold drinks as it was quite hot out.

Modern General Food Group Inc. is a great little bakery tucked into the neighbourhood. Stopping in is a charming and delightful experience. The Cinnamon Swirl is to die for, and the gluten-free berry oat bar really stood out. The lemon squares are fantastic, and the beef rolls are to die for. The jalapeño cheddar bread is available on Saturdays. A cooking class featured Teron Street Tacos with pork tenderloins, refried beans, homemade salsa, guacamole, and great ice-cream cookies, which was sensational. The attention to detail on service, like condiments on a croissant sandwich, is very nice to see. The food is delicious, and the service is great.
