I've been wanting to try Ottawa Perogies for some time, but they have limited hours and are a bit out of the way for me, so I only recently got around to it. They sell perogies and other Eastern European snacks. Overall, the food was good, and reminded me of the home cooking of the mothers of my Slavic friends. The place is to go only, there's no sitting available inside. Perogies were freshly made and tasty. The size of one piece is slightly smaller than expected. The service is good, all my questions were answered. Also tried pyrozhky, they were just ok. You can purchase Ukrainian souvenirs at this place as well.

I love going into this local shop. It is owned by a Ukrainian family, and they put a lot of love into everything they cook and bake. I love their perogies and cabbage rolls... oh, they are amazing! It is nice that they have a frozen section, so you can go in and get what you need to make them at home. It is true authentic Ukrainian homemade food. The customer service is divine, and the employees there are very helpful when you have questions.I highly recommend this place...
