“I’m so glad I tried Vegan Namaste this week! I ordered four meals for my lunches, and let me tell you—the portions are massive. Each meal could easily feed two people, so the value is incredible. I couldn’t resist diving into the Tofu Tikka Biryani for dinner. While it was a bit spicier than I prefer (I’ve been avoiding spice due to stomach issues), I could see it being a hit for someone who loves heat. The rest of my meals—Mushroom Peas Tofu Curry, Red Lentil & Broccoli Curry, and Spinach Chickpeas Curry with Rice—are waiting for me this week, and each one comes with an incredibly large, naan bread. I’ll update my review after trying them, but so far, I’m impressed. UPDATE: I found the Red lentil and broccoli curry a tad spicy for me, but the Mushroom peas tofu curry was delicious, my favourite was the spinach and chickpea curry I wish I would've ordered all 4 meals as that one. It had almost no hotness to it and the flavour was amazing! Bonus points for convenience: you can order directly through Uber Eats, and each meal has a photo so you know what you’re getting. “My family enjoyed a take-out meal last night from Sula Wok. I would describe it as incredibly tasty, evocative flavours, large portion sizes and generally a fantastic gastronomical delight! The chicken samosas were the best I have had anywhere in Ottawa, in short - awesome. The mango-ginger sauce for the samosas was also exceptional. My entrèe was the Tibetan Fried noodles with tofu. The portion was generous and carefully prepared. The spices were delightful, the vegetables were fresh, plentiful and throughout the meal rather than just placed on top. Every bite was delicious. Thank you Sula Wok for the best take-out meal I have enjoyed in years! I highly recommend this restaurant. It definitely deserves a five star rating.“

“Tried this ramen spot recently and really enjoyed it! The broth was rich and flavorful, and the noodles had a great texture. The ambience is warm and inviting—perfect for a cozy meal. Service was friendly and attentive. My only gripe is that they only offer pork options—NO chicken or seafood, which limits choices for those with dietary preferences. Still, if you're a pork ramen fan, it's definitely worth a visit!“

The Nanaimo bars are a real sweet treat, hard to pace myself lol. The smores brownie is my daughter's fave. I get to visit them every day before work and it's got me feeling so blessed🥰. “Tried a whole variety of Chris’s ice cream this weekend (7 different flavours). They were all delicious!!! My absolute favourite was the lemon ice. The texture and lemony taste was the best I’ve ever had anywhere in the world, including Italy! You’ve certainly got that recipe perfected Chris. I can’t wait to get back to Ottawa for more.“

“Thimble Cakes is an eclectic bakery that offers vegan ice cream and a variety of baked goods. I had two cupcakes: carrot cake and brookie. For being gluten-free, both were incredibly moist. Also, the frosting on top was creamy and light. I would definitely return for some ice cream or anything from their extensive amount of baked goods.“

We ordered a Cheese, Pepperoni, and Deluxe pizza, and all of them were excellent. The Deluxe pizza, in particular, was a big hit—it was packed with flavor and delicious toppings. “Big fat indulgent gourmet cookies! Before buying, I was a bit concerned about the sweetness level because there were some previous comments about the cookies being too sweet or not sweet enough. I'm happy to say that it was perfect for me. It's less sweet that the typical cookies from a supermarket. But it's not so low in sugars that it's diabetic friendly.“

“Nice place, food was good. Unfortunately, it was ruined by the waiter who 1st brought food with no drinks nor cutlery, 2nd pushed to know if we needed change when we paid and 3rd got upset by the tip of 10% which was too much considering his lack of service.

This may seem like an odd thing to say, but it was really great that they made sure they rented an accessible portable washroom for their large market event. As I was sporting crutches (I recently broke my ankle), it was a total life saver that I didn’t need to take the stairs! Not sure if the port-a-potty is an “always” thing, but just the fact that they had it for their street market when so many folks wouldn’t even think of it made me grateful. Thank you for being the loveliest hosts! I’m not a coffee or tea drinker, but I’ll certainly tell all my friends about how kind the staff were!“
