“We had dinner as a group of eight last weekend at our favourite Owen Sound restaurant and as always, had the loveliest experience. Everyone’s food was delicious and beautifully presented. Our server was excellent and the atmosphere was lively and fun. However, the most exciting thing for me personally - the owners have installed new seating throughout the restaurant! Yay!! Their old seating looked fabulous but wasn’t comfy for a long meal. The new chairs are stylish and soooo comfortable!! Thank you Shannon!! Fantastic addition to an already wonderful dining experience. You’ve had our loyalty from the beginning but this is the cherry on the sundae!”

“Attended for a family members birthday lunch today at the Swiss Chalet in Owen Sound and had a really great experience. The food was fresh, came out quickly, and everything tasted exactly how it should.

What really stood out, though, was our server, Kathie B. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind the entire time. She checked in at all the right moments without hovering and made sure our girls had everything they needed. It’s not often you come across service that feels this personal and thoughtful.

“Amazing fresh bread selection. great pastries, wonderful sandwiches, excellent dessert trays. Mama's Frozen meals are fabulous! So wonderful to find a premade frozen meal brand that is nutritious & delicious! Lots of flavour but not heavy on the salt. Decent size meat protein portions, not skimpy. I broke my dominant hand & wrist and have been unable to cook, Mama's meals have been a lifesaver! Satisfying but not heavy.”

“This place was such a pleasant surprise! We were visiting from the GTA and stopped in for lunch—and wow, what a find. The food was an easy 10/10: incredibly fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The home fries were honestly the best I’ve ever had, and the chicken cranberry wrap was absolutely delicious. We later found out the owner is a professionally trained chef and they even have their own greenhouse—no wonder everything tasted so amazing. This spot is a hidden gem and an absolute must-visit!”

If the amount you want isn't already on the shelf, they will package it up for you in a jiffy. Great recommendations, offerings of other kitchen items, coffee, accessories like sweeteners and sauces, and super cute gifts. Don't forget to get an Italian soda made before your eyes on the way out!”

“Went to yummy yummy today for lunch with my husband and our girls (4years and 1year). Is is the first time we have taken them into a setting like this. Not only was the food delicious, but the staff was amazing. They were very sweet and kind to my girls. My youngest would start chatting away and I could see all the staff smiling at her. Truly was a great experience. Thank you staff of Yummy Yummy for making this experience great.”

“I visited for the first time yesterday with an out of town guest. We went for lunch. It was a terrible day out as Victoria Day weekend typically is in this area. We rarely have beautiful weather so that has an impact on the businesses.
The woman who served us is the owner, I think. Very friendly, professional.
I have no photos to share but I can say we both loved our dishes and there were leftovers to take home. We’ll definitely be back. I will be back for a meal myself.
As a local I’m a bit surprised the restaurant isn’t busier and I prefer a local business to spend my money at rather than the larger , chain wide restaurants.
I highly recommend everyone to try it.”

“The Owen Sound Canada restaurant showed much care for customers who had to wait 10 minutes or so due to being very busy. Also very helpful finding us a good table for my wife who is visually impaired.”

“From the moment I arrived for lunch today I had a very good experience. The staff was very positive/pleasant and extremely courteous. I've never before had someone perceptive enough to bring a take-out box before I had to ask. I've never before had someone come to the table to let us know that she'd be briefly using a vacuum cleaner because she wanted to remove salt from the carpeting (= respect for us and the facility). I really enjoyed the food as well. Thank you to those I interacted with today, and the organization that creates an atmosphere where they can shine.”

“We were on our way home from the airport and my son had an online coupon and he got all the way to the end and then there was an online issue where his order couldnt process. We called the OS site and spoke to the manager. He was amazing. My son showed him that the order when we arrived that it wasnt going through and we just wanted to eat. The Manager was awesome and gave us the 2 pizzas for free. Thank you for feeding a very hungry family after a long trip.”

“Five stars. First time trying here. Was a little worried when reading some of the reviews….. but I am glad I went with my gut and gave this local place a try We had two of the haddock dinners. Excellent! Fish was nicely cooked. Fries were decent. And the coslaw was really tasty. The fish wasn’t dripping in oil and the batter was crisp. Excellent quality of fish used. !!!!! Definitely will be back another time ! It was very enjoyable. We used skip the dish. My only peeve about here is they do not seal the bag for delivery service. So anyone can go into the bag and tamper with the purchase:( this needs to be better implemented on sealing the bag for delivery I rely on skip the dish a lot and I won’t order again until this is fixed.”

“We are regulars... we love the many choices of food...service is sometimes slow, but the waitress's are working hard. These days there always seems to be staffing issues and most restaurants so we just go and relax and enjoy our time out. The food is consistent and good. There could be a larger wine choice but they have what we like so no worries.”
