Had great service from the female owner (I think it’s the owner) was great, she was friendly and provided recommendations. “Had the chance to try this bakery’s most popular cake. It’s called the Ovaltine Crispy Chiffon Cake. It was light, fluffy and not too sweet. The Rosemary decorations when eaten with the cake, adds another dimension to the taste.
This was purchased by someone in the party I attended recently. I noticed, I was not the only one that enjoyed the cake. Apparently, it was purchased from a bakery where the food court is located.
The owner was quite friendly as I inquired about the bakery. Price $25 as per the bakery’s website. They even provided 1 candle with the cake. Not sure if it was included in the price or not.

“The lady at the counter was so nice!

I went in to pickup some sugar cookies for my toddlers play date - however the lady made a better recommendation and I couldn’t have been happier.

My toddler was so fascinated with everything in the store- she offered him an Oreo cookie to distract him while I was able to make my selection.

The cookies were amazing and such a hit with all the kids. I would definitely recommend and I look forward to my next visit.“

“Came here with a friend and we ordered the large size jumbo ube milk shaved ice with taro paste on the side. When we got the ube shaved ice, it was huge. We couldn't even finish it.

All the toppings tasted great and they dont skimp on the toppings at all. I really loved the Ube paste, taro rice balls, almond pudding, and the taro paste.

For about $20 it is definitely worth coming here to satisfy your sweet tooth. This could easily feed 2-3 people. My one minor complaint would be that the shaved ice is not uniformed and there are some big chunks. Chewing on it got tiring and numbing at the end. I do wish they had the korean styled shaved ice where its almost like soft snow texture.“

“I would like to recommend Victoria K Cakes to anyone looking for theme cakes for a celebration! My family has been ordering cakes from them for the last 5 years and they are always gorgeous. I have included a picture for my daughter’s 21st birthday party and it was a big hit! We chose strawberry shortcake filling and it was delicious. 😋“

“Found this little dessert spot while grocery shopping nearby , just a random pick from Google Maps, but it turned out to be such a pleasant surprise!

Maybe it was because I happened to miss my Cantonese friend that day… especially her dad’s homemade ginger milk pudding. So when I saw this place, I thought, why not?

We shared a bowl of red bean double-skim milk, perfectly balanced sweetness and creaminess, with plenty of red beans. You can order it hot or cold; we went for the hot one, and it was wonderfully comforting.

I took a look at their menu, and found there were so many tempting options! Also spotted on SwingBy that they have a great deal: 2 boxes for $10.

Good thing I live downtown, or I’d be here way too often 😆. Trying to cut back on sweets lately, but this one was absolutely worth it.“

“This is located in the back of the downsview merchants market alongside other restaurants. They always have a fantastic variety of cakes, cheesecakes, and cookie brownies that they bake fresh during the day. They also have 8 different flavours of ice cream at any given time and a slushy machine.
Service is always exceptional and they are happy to explain everything they have in their cases.
In addition to the enormous variety of baked goods, they also offer funnel cakes, waffles, bubble waffles, and crepes.
You can tell the bakers are very passionate about what they make. The portions are huge (cakes barely fit into their containers) and prices are great.
I have tried most of their offerings (they're always trying new recipes) and have enjoyed them all.
Unfortunately this location is only open on weekends but on weekdays you can find them in Caledon.“

“Gianfranco is an awesome person and chef, took the time explaining the whole process to me over the phone and told me this was authentic Italian Tiramisu unlike the modified version who cheap out on ingredients. Tasted amazing, mine was fresh so cutting it was hard to get a perfect slice for pictures ? if you want a quality Tiramisu give Nonna's House Tiramisu a try. I went for the classic, can't go wrong with that choice!Update:After putting it in the freezer it's much easier to cut it the next day and it holds up very nicely.“

We landed up at a super busy plaza so we parked on the street. When we first got there there was no one there but before you know it the place just started getting busy! Well, it being my first time there I asked the girl to bring me whatever is the most popular! I had sticky toffee with custard with a nice cardamom chai! Before you know it, everyone was deep in desert and generously sharing with each other! After that, we all had a round of all kinds of milk chais from masala chai to cardamom they were all excellent! The masala chai for some reason reminded me of pumpkin spice! Everyone was bursting at the seams so we all had a nice walk in the wonderful neighborhood. It was night and it was cool and it was just right! The best part about JC is everything is halal and it will satisfy every sweet tooth! “We ordered the taiwanese hot dessert and black sesame waffles and they were really tasty! The black sesame ice cream especially was so delicious! 🤤 The portion was good, space was clean and the service was excellent. They really have an extensive dessert and regular meal menu and we were so intrigued. We’ll definitely come back to try other items on the menu!“

“I really liked Miss Lin cafe! I came here with a friend and I thought the desserts were absolutely beautiful. They were also quite tasty and a good mix of fruits, jellies and chewy mochis. The only thing I would say is if your dessert comes with flowers, don’t eat the flowers! I don’t think they’re supposed to be edible flowers as my flower did not taste too good.“

“Been here a couple times and so far what I have had I really enjoyed.

The prices were reasonable for the size and the tea had a nice flavour. I also liked the brown sugar jelly as it gave a nice addition to my drink.

The service was as usual for an asian spot. Nothing major to say about it and always got my drinks fairly quickly too. This is also a no frills kinda shop. There isn’t much aesthetic to the place.

Parking in the plaza can be quite busy as you get near the businesses but you can find parking easier as you get closer to the street.

“I came here a week ago for dessert at around 9PM—11PM with a bunch of friends. The portions were fulfilling and were enough to share between two people. Shaved ice was delicious, however, when I tried to play the board games they offered it was sticky and old. Other than the board games, my overtime here was great!“

I eat walnut, papaya, black sesome and fry tofu. They are all taste very good. The total is a $29.

Meal sets were great portion and tasty, included a drink and a dessert.
Atmosphere was comfortable. Great customer service. Our guests enjoyed their time. Washrooms were clean. They even had colourings for the kids. Ample parking available. Highly recommend!“

“AMAZING. 10 STAR! Service from the gentleman working tonight (6/23/24) I was experiencing an issue ordering through UberEats because it said delivery is unavailable.

I then proceeded to call their customer support line and an amazing lady from the USA order placing line answered the phone and transferred me straight to the store where I spoke to the guy.

Mentioned the issues to him, and he was polite enough to help me with my issue by recommending I download DoorDash. (Because DoorDash covered a longer distance from the store)

Without him I would’ve never known this workaround - and I would’ve been forced to drive 30 minutes to the store on a one way from my evening on the couch relaxing.

Now awaiting for the cookies to arrive, will update with pictures!
