“I had tried some gluten free bread options at some local grocery chains - yuck! That’s all I can say. I am not a gluten- free expert, as I am only starting to treat my ailments through experimentation, but let me tell you this - I am very happy with the product from Winnie’s! I went in and was promptly greeted, and the young lady that helped me was so pleasant and patient while I asked a million questions. I purchased a standard gluten/dairy free loaf of white bread. When I got home, I cut myself a generous slice, popped it in the toaster and buttered it. I had very low expectations to be honest, but what do you know… IT WAS FANTASTIC! I would go as far to say that’s it’s better than grocery store (gluten filled) bread. I can finally have a toasted tomato sandwich again 🤗 Will definitely be back!“

“Bought keto sugar free donuts and peanut butter cookies so good. Sometimes with keto sugar substitute tastes grainy their donuts did not taste like that they were so good. Also bought donuts with toffee in the gluten section they were so delicious. My new go to place!“

“I had these amazing apple fritters for the first time about 7 years ago on our first visit. Had to have them again for the second time last week on Thursday August 11th 2016. Had them with ice cream and maple syrup. Sure wish you could ship, your favourite customers in New Brunswick!“

“I ordered several deserts and a common theme, they were all too sweet. The coconut tart was the best in terms of balance. I will however say they all had great texture, moisture, and were baked to perfection.
But… man i feel diabetic after the pumpkin tart thing. I had to try and eat it without the Frosting.
Really hopeful the eclair isn’t too sweet (edit : it was… while the place is clean and the pastries baked well, and beautifully made, they are all much too sweet).“

“A Delightful Experience at O Hime Cake
I’ve been wanting to visit O Hime Cake for a long time, and today I finally got the chance—and it did not disappoint! This place truly lives up to its reputation as one of the best dessert spots in the KWC region.
The cakes are an absolute dream. They strike the perfect balance of sweetness—not too overpowering, but just right. The sponge cake is incredibly fresh and smooth, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture that feels like a treat with every bite. Each flavor is so rich and well-crafted that it’s hard to stop at just one piece.
Beyond the desserts, the ambiance of O Hime Cake adds to the entire experience. The place has such a charming, cozy vibe with a modern yet cute aesthetic that makes you want to linger. The atmosphere is complemented by a soothing fragrance in the air, making the space feel even more welcoming and relaxing.
Overall, O Hime Cake exceeded my expectations. If you're in the KWC area and looking for a delightful dessert experience, this is definitely the spot to visit!

The guy behind the counter was extremely helpful in offering a substitute of Vienna Buns because they have a chewy outside and tender inside. This was a winning combination! “I was on vacation in Kitchener a year ago and went to this bakery almost every day. Freshly baked and super delicious bread, a wonderful selection of bread types.
The owner was also very nice. Unfortunately I didn't make it to Kitchener this year, but hope to go back next year.“

“Recommended: I didn't taste anything, but everything looked lovely. The prices seemed a bit high, but it was a private store not a chain. There were multiple options for gluten-free. The pastries and baked goods looked delicious. The store employee was quite friendly and helpful. They carried multiple brands of products from other gluten-free companies, organic options and health related issues. I would return to try them.“

“Biked to St Jacob’s and found this small coffee shop and ice cream place. Had a cappuccino and a slice of the lemon cake, both delicious. The young woman serving was excellent, very friendly and helpful, checked which milk for the cappuccino and gave me a China cup when I told her that I’d stay in. There was a water station too where I could refill my water bottle. I will be back to try some of the breakfast sandwiches .“

“If you haven't visited or tried anything from LenJo Bakes and you are looking to satisfy a craving, you should stop what you're doing and head over to her bakery! I've had the pleasure of having an assortment of her cookies and macarons and let me tell you - WOW! Not only are her macarons gorgeous and perfectly proportioned, the flavors are on point! There is such an assortment of cookies as well you will not be disappointed. My husband and I absolutely love the salted chocolate cookies, just perfection. Thank you for providing top notch service and products ❤️.“
