Owners are super friendly, good portion and cheap meal overall. One of my go to takeout spots (they don't do seating)
May 30th 2025 I ordered a suckling piglet last minute for the next day and they accommodated my request. Mini piglet was cooked perfectly and salted perfectly.
The food is okay but it has no dine in area which makes it inconvenient to eat. Price is cheap!

New May Hong Yuen BBQ Rest is a tiny Chinese BBQ shop located on McCowan Rd. in Scarborough. The restaurant offers good food at affordable prices, with large portions that are often enough for four adult servings. The menu includes dishes such as Sweet and Sour Pork and Chow Mein with Chicken. While prices have increased, the food remains tasty and worth visiting.
