“We had an excellent experience at Wind tonight- there was an unfortunate event of a medical emergency, in which the staff reacted with the upmost compassion and professionalism. The guest quietly insisted on covering the drinks for the people around them (which was so so so kind & unnecessary- but thank you ❤️ just glad you are okay), and Wind covered an additional round if we were interested, which was totally above and beyond for a circumstance outside of anyone’s control. “Big Tuna Sushi We were excited to return to Big Tuna on Ontario Street for my niece’s 16th birthday, as she chose it herself and we had a great experience last year. Unfortunately, this visit didn’t live up to our expectations. The restaurant was a bit busy when we arrived so we waited 25 minutes for drinks and appetizers. The service felt disorganized and some food arrived cold or very late. My dessert " crème brûlée and the wontons ordered" were served cold, which was disappointing. One server (shorter woman with glasses, approximately 40–50 years old) was not very friendly during our visit between 6:30–8:30 p.m. on January 17th. She seemed annoyed the whole evening. My sister was told ahead of time to bring cash for a 10–20% discount, but this was not honoured as I was sitting with them at the table. We were told that because I arrived with my boyfriend and we paid separately, my niece and her mother’s bill no longer qualified for the cash discount — despite it being a family birthday reservation and we came to join in. Most disappointing was that my niece did not receive the birthday cheesecake or any recognition, even though we saw another table celebrating and the servers singing happy birthday. We truly wanted this to be a special night for her, especially being her 16th birthday. I hope the restaurant can address these issues so future celebrations reflect the positive experiences we’ve had in the past.“

“From the moment we entered MA, we had a wonderful experience. Our waiter, Danny, was informative and attentive. He made us feel comfortable and at home. He asked what we liked, he suggested different dishes and other dishes that would compliment each other. And we LOVED EVERYTHING that he suggested! We had Noodles with eggplant, crispy bean curd skin stuffed with BBQ pork, Turnip Pudding w/ Chinese Sausage, Steamed ribs w/ black bean sauce, Lobster w/ scallions & ginger, steamed sponge cake w/ mango and buns filled w/ custard and egg yolk.Everything was so good. I would eat here everyday if we lived here! Top notch service from Danny, he is so pleasant. We will definitely be back before we leave to go home! And maybe stock up in some dishes to take home! ?
