“I went with my mom for dinner. We picked a good time as it was not busy. The owner(Lida) attended to use. She was extremely kind and efficient. We ordered two appetizers and our main dishes. Each dish was freshly cooked. Each dish was delicious. Since it is being made fresh, it does take some time to make. We are definitely planning to bring our family with us to dine there again.“

“I went for a quick meal in mid-afternoon. I had the lamb and chicken combo which came with a side of green salad and rice. I chose not to have the rice. To my surprise I was I was charged less than what the price stated on the menu. The chicken and the lamb were both tender and spiced just right. I was very impressed by the quality of the food - fresh, clean and very tasty. For a quick and inexpensive meal, I highly recommend Afghan Cuisine on Overlea Blvd.“

“Genuinely exquisite. Felt like going to my Cousin’s own home. The portions are incredibly generous, and the staff who prepared everything was so friendly. A truly kind man.
We ordered chicken plates with rice, salad, potatoes. It was unbelievably tasty. The rice was seasoned perfectly! The salad was dressed to perfection, and the chicken was so good.
Every time we stop at Face to Face, we’ll make our way over here for food.“

“Ordered the tandoori and chicken kabob dinner and it did not disappoint. The chciken was moist and not over cooked. The rice was light and fluffy. Loved the homemade salsa. The pricing was odd as I thought it was going to be more...I only had $40 cash and thought it was going to be over but it wasnt. Cash or debit no credit cards. Would go back and try some other dishes bmthe next time I'm in the neighborhood.“

“I’ve been going to Bamiyan Kabob regularly with my coworkers about once or twice a month—for the past 2.5 years. It’s become one of our go-to spots.
The food is consistently excellent (5/5). The kabobs are always hot and juicy, the salad is fresh, and the naan is outstanding—served super hot, with crispy edges and a soft interior. It’s exactly what you want every time.
What really stands out is the consistency. Even after years of visiting, the quality has never dropped. The staff are also amazing (5/5 service). We go so often that they remember what each of us orders, which makes the experience feel very welcoming.
The atmosphere is solid (4/5). There are plenty of tables, so there’s usually no need to worry about waiting or lining up, which is a big plus for group lunches.
Overall, this is a reliable, high-quality spot that we keep coming back to.“

“I visited Faryab Restaurant and tried their famous Palaw Uzbaki. Honestly, it was really good.
The rice was soft and full of flavor, with a nice mix of carrots and raisins, and the lamb was tender and delicious. You can really feel the authentic Afghan taste in every bite, and it’s one of their most popular dishes for a reason.
Overall, the food felt fresh and satisfying, and the portion was great. If you like rich, flavorful rice dishes, I would definitely recommend trying their Palaw Uzbaki.“

“After going to their yonge and weldrick location for many many years, I happened to be in north Richmond hill (yonge and king road) and saw this other location! What can I say, very friendly welcoming service, clean organized interior and very fresh quality meat. Prices are average compared to the other 500+ kabob restaurants in this area but Taftan seems to stand out simply because of their reputation and large portion sizes. Today I got the barg (filet mignon beef) combo with rice and a side order of a chicken leg skewer. And hey they even threw in free cans of pop, lots of butter packets for the rice, packets of sumac (that tangy but distinct middle eastern red spice), and a pita bread! I’ll be sure to return again.“
