“Had to stop in for the dill cream cheese. Enjoyed it at a friend's over the weekend. Since I now live in NJ, I can't find dill cream cheese. Also couldn't resist the chocolate babka. Incredible amount of delicious chocolate throughout the loaf.“

“Never thought to pay a visit here but was looking for a local greasy spoon to support - came here for breakfast and noticed that a lot of line men and construction crew come here so you know you’re in for some good value and decent food. I was shocked to know that I was able to order wings so early in the morning but decided to be that person and try something new while sharing a breakfast platter. Food was fresh, made to order and service was fast and friendly. Happy to know that they are open on the weekends so there’s more opportunities for me to swing on by to support a small local business“

“I had my first visit yesterday at Donlands Diner in East York for brunch and it was honestly such an amazing experience. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the grilled cheese with tomato and bacon with fries, and my partner ordered a BLT with fries. Everything came out fast, fresh, and tasted incredible.
The waitress Tina was such an amazing hostess — so kind, friendly, and welcoming. She made us feel like family from the moment we walked in and talked to us like we had known each other for years. The whole experience felt so warm and genuine.
The diner has such a beautiful vibe with 50s and 60s themed music playing, which made the atmosphere even more special. Service was seamless from start to finish and we left super happy. Definitely one of the best brunch experiences I’ve had and I’ll absolutely be coming back!“

“It was my first time there, as I am not from Scarborough, but met my friend who lives nearby. We both had the peameal bacon breakfast. It said 8 oz. of peameal served. It came with 4 super thick slices. I'm thinking more like 10 oz. minimum!!! Potatoes were grilled, not deep fried, and my eggs were perfect!!!! Great server!!!!! I will go there again just for a road trip!!! One of the best breakfasts I've ever had. I highly recommend!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐+!!!!!!“

“I had a great experience at Mr Nick’s Grill! The Greek omelette was the best—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and packed with fresh ingredients. The feta, veggies, and seasoning were perfectly balanced, and the portion size was generous.

The service was excellent as well. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Even the kitchen staff were friendly and smiling, which made me feel really welcome and comfortable. The cozy atmosphere and warm hospitality make this a place I’ll definitely be coming back to. “Visited while in the Greenwood-Coxwell area and due to their recent collaboration with another popular sandwich spot in the city. While they have a café facing Gerrard St., they also have a patio that is located in the laneway behind their café which is also a fairly comfortable space. They are best known for their breakfast and brunch items, especially their buttermilk biscuits and breakfast sandwiches, all being based on locally-sourced ingredients. Their buttermilk biscuits are also available for order on their own, which can be provided fully baked or frozen (for bake-at-home). Other items include their buttermlik pancakes and other homestyle/classic items such as macaroni and cheese, fried chicken thighs and salads. They also offer smaller size portions for kids or for those looking for a lighter version of their popular dishes, such as a mini version of their macaroni and cheese and pancake (one pancake).

Their collaboration with Bear Steak Sandwiches was the Lazy Bear, which came with a sunny side up egg, medium-rare flank steak, white gravy, pickled red onion and jalapenos under one of their homestyle biscuits. While it was a bit messy, the sandwich itself had a great mix of flavours with the steak, gravy and a slight kick with the pepper alongside the biscuit, all blending together well.

Service was also friendly in checking in during the meal, as well as being accommodating in case I needed an item or wanted to move to a shaded area on their patio. Overall, would recommend as another good breakfast/brunch spot in the east end of the city, particularly in the area.“

“My husband and I went to Eggsmart on Avenue Road just south of the 401, Toronto. We were greeted and seated right away. Coffee and water came immediately and was most welcomed. The menu is enticing and easy to use. Food is presented in an attractive manner and everything tasted delicious. Our server, Alex, was friendly and highly competent at his job. Definite management potential.“

I told our waitress and they brought me a new one and It's same thing, either they don't communicate with the kitchen or the people who cook the pancakes just don't care. Eventhough the waitress has rectify the issue and asked me if I want to order something else but everyone already finished eating so end up didn't get to eat.“

We ordered the Eggstatic Steak & Eggs, Eggstatic Tomato Jacket, Classic Middle Eastern Breakfast with Hummus Foul Bowl, Blueberry Pancakes, and Belgian Waffle. Everything was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, offering great recommendations that we truly enjoyed.
