“I love supporting small businesses and de la terre bakery is one that I continuously find myself coming back to.

The atmosphere is amazing in here. Even though you might think it's a "bakery" and not a "cafe", you couldn't be more wrong. Along with available bread to purchase, they also have delicious pastries and various drink options to choose from. I always find myself getting an iced vanilla latte (both to dine in person and for take-out). I've also eaten their breakfast croissant sandwich before and it's delicious. It is a little pricy however the quality makes up for it. There's nothing like a small business coffee, there's just something about it you can't replicate elsewhere.

The staff are always warm, welcoming, and friendly. I've never had a bad interaction with any of them. Even when the store is busy, they are very quick with taking your order and making your food/drinks. Moreover, if you're staying around for a while, you'll see them constantly cleaning the cafe, wiping down tables, and taking away dirty dishes. For newcomers, I would let you know that I clear away my own dishes (by bringing them back up to their counter) but I'm not sure if this is a requirement (i just do it to give them a little break from cleaning)!

Overall, great spot, free wifi, I come and do my schoolwork here at least once a week (maybe even more)! I would highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting St. Catharines!

Parking: They have their own parking lot with I'd say estimated about 20+ spots (free parking no charge) They do fill up fast though as they have a lot of customers coming in to dine or picking up their online orders. There is another parking lot though right next to their personal one that is almost empty all the time (i've never parked in there so I'm not 100% sure if it is free parking or if you have to pay).

Kid-friendliness: They have 2 high-chairs available and a large bathroom with a changing spot/crib for infants if needed. They also have a little play space for children to be entertained whilst dining.

Wheelchair accessibility: Very wheelchair accessible. They have available wheelchair parking and there are no steps upon entry making it easy to get in the door. The bathroom is also wheelchair accessible with an automatic door and plenty of space.“

I am horribly picky and opinionated about gluten free bread and bagels and baked goods, and for the first time ever I cannot complain. It was the most amazing experience. I visited on Sunday March 9th and I was so excited and overwhelmed and whomever I dealt with went above and beyond to help. Best bagels, bread, brownie and oatmeal toffee cookie I have ever had. The bread is delicious; I will no longer be buying anything other than bread here.

I paid 8$ for two cinnamon buns that were tasteless and dry.
Hardly any icing, barely any cinnamon... They basically tasted like a fancy bun. You know it's bad when you have to heat I up in the microwave with water and dump a bunch of cinnamon on it.... disappointed to say the least.“

I always order an almondine tart and it’s to die for. The price is good too. Cappuccino and pastry $7 which is very reasonable for NOTL.“

“The butter tarts were fantastic! We had the pecan and the chocolate tart and we approve😁 The crust was light and melted in your mouth, and the chocolate filling resembled the molten lave cake filling. Absolutely delicious!“

“This is a short walk down Queen Street in NOTL and a lovely, more rustic bakery. As soon as you walk near the door ... you're lured-in by those warm, bread-smells ... that will not be denied! I ordered the fresh croissant and also sausage rolls, and showed an immense amount of self-control after that (insert regret here re: the butter tarts). I also did some Christmas shopping - behind the register is a series of books written by local author Tom Taylor (all signed) about the many historical stories of Brock. The woman that served me was friendly and helpful. The baking: devine. And lots of other nicnak things you'd find in an old-school bakery. No seating here though.“

“ABSOLUTE ROCK STARS! Recently purchased some meat to make my first batch of sausage with. Nick went above and beyond and educated me on the different cuts of meats, what percentages to use and tips and tricks and made sure I got the best of the best. When I picked up everything Joe treated me like family and was very helpful and friendly and also gave me some more education. It's awesome to see two people take so much pride and passion in what they do and treating customers like family. Also, on my way into the store I stopped by the bakery department (like the elf I am LOL) and spoke with the bakery person who was amazing (sorry, didnt get her name, older lady with glasses-very friendly). She educated me on ALL of the sweets and baked goods, how much pride/passion they take in their in house baking goods and also the specialty items from Germany and Italy etc. WOW!
