“Came here after I saw someone on Facebook do a video food review of some of their goodies and wasn't disappointed! We visited in October and purchased some of the prettiest & best tasting desserts! Every time I took a bite I would just say how good it was. We got a Chocolate Mousse, a Chocolate Coffee Mousse and a Banana Cheesecake? I can't remember exactly what they were but they were so yummy! Well done and we'll be back!“

“My husband and I visited Niagara on the Lake for the first time yesterday. We stopped into Fritters on the Lake and were absolutely so impressed. Not only was the lunch recommendation on point; the fritters were absolutely amazing. However, the best thing ever was the service! Zoran was the kindest person ever and when I spoke to my family by phone later in the day-he was the first one I told them about. “We have been picking up sourdough here weekly, they have a great number of options on the daily and special breads that come out as well. It's nice to find a real good crusty sourdough! My fiance loooooves their mini pecan pies, I loved there cruffins. We would pass on the cookies in the future as we prefer soft cookies and there crispy but that's more of a preference as the flavour was also great. All around a fantastic place.“

“Generally, lines are very long most of time (not if you cone early) but all products are very good. Cinnammon toast is excellent. There is very little chive in the garlic chive twist. Lemon curd cruffle is a little deceiving from the outside (could have been more filling)“

The staff are always very kind and patient, and it always smells amazing inside. Everything is freshly baked and is not out more than a day. I visit often.“

Scott individually wrapped an assortment of tarts including Skor, Turtles, Raisonette, etc. We used them as favours at each table setting and the rest were left on a tray by the door. There were none left! Guests are still raving about the most delicious butter tarts they ever had!! A big hit at the wedding! Thanks so much Scott! Will definitely be ordering from you again!“

“I’m surprised to see this Mrs. Fields Cookies & Pretzels location rated only 3 stars — I had a full 5-star experience! The staff were friendly, upbeat, and went out of their way to make me two fresh pretzels — the classic butter and salt. They came out warm, golden, and absolutely delicious! One of the staff at Caffe Gatti said she would deliver it personally as I was worried about the condition if it went through a delivery service. “ABSOLUTE ROCK STARS! Recently purchased some meat to make my first batch of sausage with. Nick went above and beyond and educated me on the different cuts of meats, what percentages to use and tips and tricks and made sure I got the best of the best. When I picked up everything Joe treated me like family and was very helpful and friendly and also gave me some more education. It's awesome to see two people take so much pride and passion in what they do and treating customers like family. Also, on my way into the store I stopped by the bakery department (like the elf I am LOL) and spoke with the bakery person who was amazing (sorry, didnt get her name, older lady with glasses-very friendly). She educated me on ALL of the sweets and baked goods, how much pride/passion they take in their in house baking goods and also the specialty items from Germany and Italy etc. WOW! Thanks to these three ROCKSTARS you have gained a customer for life (I live in Wainfleet but WORTH the drive!!) Thank you Commisso's for having amazing passionate staff!“

“I saw Sugar and Slice at the Welland market today and couldn’t resist trying the pecan butter tarts. The 2 ppl serving me were lovely and informed me that I need to compost the container because the packaging is made from plants. That extra care is amazing and I was so happy when they told me. I saved them for a family post dinner treat and OMG these pecan butter tarts were the best we have ever had!! Perfect amount of crust, gooey inside, crunchy pecans, and the topping- whoa- caramelized sugary perfection. Amazing job you guys! Thank you for a wonderful shopping experience, your extra environmental care and the amazing treats. So glad I stopped 😍“
