Parking: There are so many barriers when it comes to parking at the location where Windy Shores Cafe is located because 1) I need a phone to pay for parking 2) I need to pay to access a public park by vehicle 3) I need to pay for a phone plan to have data to pay for my parking metre. It’s not the business’s fault, however it is clear they’re losing a significant amount of customers and revenue because of parking.“

“I always use the drive thru and usually only order a tea but I only go in the day because in the evening it doesn’t taste as good. Sometimes I’ll go alone or with my kids they usually get a sandwich or something else. My youngest gets thé chocolate milk and a cookie I love the woman that’s always on the till during the day with the glasses I’m always giving her a tip because she’s always so nice. If I’m with my pug she always asks if she can have a treat and if I’m alone she always is like you’re alone today. Super friendly staff person. Wish I knew her name.“

“Delicious address on a beautiful street in Thunder Bay.
We enjoyed it so much that we came back the next day at lunchtime!
The Bagels are very good, special mention for the Bruschetta-style bagel which had very appreciable Mediterranean flavors after 3 months of traveling in Canada!
On top of that, the welcome is charming!
Only point: address quite poorly indicated on the road and not very visible, so you have to search a little.“

“We came from Montreal and stopped at this lovely little coffee shop. We tried the breakfast sandwiches, and they were honestly the best in town. The coffee was excellent, and we especially appreciated the wide variety of milk alternatives since my husband is lactose intolerant. We loved it so much that we went back a second time during our vacation to try their muffins—and they were amazing too! The staff were so friendly and welcoming from the very first hello. This place is a must-visit—you won’t be disappointed. Absolutely love it here! We even bought a hat to remember our great experience :)“

“This location was a 60 second walk from my house. I was never a big fan of coffee and donuts but after I tried it here I was immediately hooked! The freshness and quality of the baked goods & coffee I'd never experienced before or since. I've moved from Thunder Bay and this Robin's is one of the things I miss most. “This evening, a cute little lady asked me to leave a review, so here it is! I don’t know her name, but the adorable moles on her face make her cute. I stop by this Tim Hortons almost every day — honestly, one of the best in the city with great staff.

The morning drive-thru can be rushed and rude. They don’t listen to orders properly, and I suspect the staff are under pressure from the management for timing. The food and drinks in the mornings can sometimes be below average, so I’m giving only 4 stars.

Evenings are a completely different experience. I see the evening manager vinot almost every day, and I like him a lot. Even when it’s busy, he greets me with a smile and by my name, which really makes me feel acknowledged and welcome. Last Friday, he made my Supreme Stack and, knowing I like cold brew, suggested I try the Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew, which this cute little lady made perfectly. Both were fresh and beautifully presented.

If you want friendly service, a clean store, and a homey feel, visit this store in the evenings — the staff are welcoming, professional, and always happy.“

“Eanok was so AMAZING today that I had to ask him for his name! He gave such great service and it was so nice how he was friendly even though I was ordering just minutes to the location closing. “Ladies and gentlemen, behold! A sandwich so breathtakingly gorgeous, it could hang in an Art Gallery. Who needs filet mignon or expertly crafted gourmet cuisine when you can have this unapologetically bold display of minimalist food art?

Let’s start with that bun… sorry, artisanally torched bread. The char on the top half is nothing short of revolutionary. Why settle for boring, even toasting when you can have a blackened crust that practically screams, “We don’t have time for quality control!” Truly, this is not burnt, it is caramelized to the edge of existence.

Then, we move on to the main event: the roast beef. Oh, the roast beef! Thinly sliced and glistening with… let’s call it “ambition,” the beef looks like it was hand selected from a premium vending machine. Its pale, grayish hue and delicate cracks suggest it was aged, perhaps in the back of a hot delivery truck on a 2008 summer day. That subtle sheen of sauce and mayonnaise pooling on the paper beneath? A tribute to gravity itself! It’s almost as though this sandwich knows it’s too good to stay contained.

And let’s not forget the generous smear of mayo, lovingly spread in haphazard dollops that could have only been applied by a true sandwich artisan. It gives the whole thing a surreal, deconstructed aesthetic as if the chef wants you to question, “Is this food or performance art?”

Finally, the presentation. Wrapped in Tim Hortons’ iconic branded paper, the sandwich rests gracefully in what can only be described as an artful puddle of regret. You don’t eat this sandwich, you experience it. Every bite is a mystery, will you taste char? dryness? or a burst of tepid mayo? Who knows! And that, my friend, is the genius of it.

“At the regional hospital, many of the people grabbing a coffee or something quick to eat are dealing with emotions that are new to them. That segment of the public should experience a little more care and understanding. They most certainly do not need to speak repeatedly their order, nor endure getting that order wrong.

Many coffee shops struggle with this sloppy customer service and I am exceptionally happy to report that the team at this Robin's are EXEMPLARY!!!! After 24 weeks of my treatment and testing, ordering a quick breakfast and coffee is a type of relief. I must repeat that this is a team of fantastic people, but the team captain must be Charlene. After all these weeks, I have come to experience her expertise. Yes! Expertise!! Business like, of course, but always in a great mood.

If she is not a trainer of new employees, she should be. It says something to feel special, and have your order done quickly and accurately. Some people are just great at their jobs, and I can not say enough about their team captain.

BUT, I am not saying I am displeased with anyone there, but Charlene leads that pack of stellar service. Perhaps she is inspires others to perfect their customer service prowess, for they are all good.

So, when coming to the regional hospital, forget the drive through elsewhere. Come directly and sample good coffee with great service.“
