Hanmoto Reviews
Absolute fire, Small menu, big flavours. Every dish was fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of authentic taste. The hot and raw selections were outstanding — quality ingredients, great presentation, and attention to detail. A must-try spot.

Hanmoto is a unique and intimate izakaya located in Ossington, known for its exceptional dining experience. This cozy and lively establishment does not require reservations, although early arrival is recommended due to its popularity and limited seating.
The menu features a variety of standout dishes, including the renowned Dyno wings, Moto Eggs, and Katsu sandwich served in a coco bun, all praised for their amazing flavors. Other must-tries include the Moto Bun, Salmon Aburi, and Okra. The food comes out quickly, ensuring a satisfying meal. Although the Tempura McFly chicken sandwich is available, it may not be the best choice. The Moto curry poutine, previously noted for its exceptional fries and unique flavor combination, is no longer on the menu. Diners can also enjoy refreshing cocktails, such as the recommended cucumber-infused option and Sapporo on tap, including a dark version that is lovely.
Guests describe the overall experience at Hanmoto as "cool and special," with fantastic atmosphere and great music. The service is friendly and attentive, with staff being very thoughtful. It is important to note that it can get very warm inside, making it less ideal on hot summer days. The portions are generous, leaving guests happily stuffed, but the food is so delicious that it can be a shame to get full. The Miso Ice Cream has a savory flavor that makes it a delightful choice for dessert. With excellent portion sizes for the price, Hanmoto is a must-visit for those seeking a different and intimate dining experience in Toronto.
