The Island Cafe Reviews
I wasn't imbibing but next time I'll have either a Mojito or a Ginger Beer San Gria.
The Rueben I had was outstanding (the Russian dressing really worked) and Mona's burger and salad was terrific.
Nice staff and it's very close to the Ward's Island Ferry Dock.

The Island Cafe is a cozy and charming spot located on the Toronto Islands, offering a warm and friendly atmosphere for visitors. The café features a soft pastel decor that creates a welcoming and relaxed environment. Staff members are consistently described as kind, friendly, and attentive, with one employee standing out for her wit and excellent service, making guests feel well taken care of. The menu includes hearty options like soup bowls, a breakfast sandwich, and the highly recommended Ham and Brie sandwich with crispy baguette bread and creamy Brie cheese, which many find delicious enough to order again. Desserts, including ice cream, are also popular, although some items like the hot chocolate and chocolate chip cookie received mixed reviews. The hot chocolate was noted as watery, and the cookie was considered average. Prices tend to be on the premium side, especially for smaller portions like the breakfast sandwich. Visitors also appreciate the café's cleanliness and quick service, though some mention occasional delays in ordering. Overall, The Island Cafe is appreciated for its cozy vibe, friendly staff, and good food, making it a favorite spot for locals and tourists alike to warm up before a ferry or enjoy a quick bite on the island.
