One of my favorite spots on Geary! Such a cool concept. They have a North of Brooklyn pizza takeout spot tucked inside the back of the bar, which is already one of the best pizza spots in the city.
The bar itself is two stories, with arcade games upstairs and a huge selection of rotating beers on tap from unique local breweries. Seating is mostly communal, with bench-style tables, so it can sometimes be tough to find a spot.

One of the best bars outside of downtown. Regular rotation of drinks on tap with cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks available. Food available with North of Brooklyn Pizza and arcade machines and pool table on the upper level.
The beers are great, but honestly, the service was awful. The attitude at the bar was basically “What do you want? Here you go. Bye.” No friendliness, no welcoming attitude, not even a simple hello.
What’s the point of having great beer if the service makes you not want to stay? And honestly, with that attitude, I don’t understand how you expect to earn a tip. Good service is part of the experience, especially at a bar.

The Greater Good is a popular spot for pizza and beer, with a great vibe. The atmosphere can get loud and crowded, so it's best to sit downstairs or outside. The interior is neat, but the arcade upstairs may not meet expectations. The highlight is the delicious pizza, especially the Pepperoni and NY with mushroom, and the vodka pizza is amazing. The tap beer is also highly recommended, with options like the Radenbach Grand on tap. If you're into games, there are options like pinball and skee ball upstairs, just remember to bring some coins and cash. The arcade machines are free, pinball is paid. It's a great bar to bring the little ones during the early family hours, and a busy pub after.
