“This specific location is one of me and my partner’s go to spots. Not just because the meat is prepared better here, but because of Deborah’s service. She always greets us at the door and remembers every tiny details. Moving the chairs so we can sit same side, provides us extra chili powder (highly recommend to sprinkle this on every piece of meat), “everything the same?” after we place our order and our excitement for the complimentary marshmallows at the end. Deborah goes above and beyond for this location. Shoutout to her for always carrying the whole restaurant on her back.”

“I tried the Korean seasoned chicken here and it was excellent — crisp on the outside, and packed with flavour on the inside. The space itself was also really nice — clean, bright, and comfortable, which made it a great place to sit down and enjoy the meal. Definitely a spot I’d come back to for good Korean fried chicken.”

I recently visited 花馬春天 and was genuinely impressed by the entire experience. From the welcoming atmosphere to the attentive service, everything was top-notch.

My kids and my wife are vegetarian, I’m always a bit cautious when dining out, but flower & Horse in spring crossing the bridge Rice Noodles exceeded my expectations. Their vegetarian options were not just an afterthought—they were thoughtfully crafted, flavorful, we tried the Vegan option of crossing the bridge Rice Noodles, and it was absolutely delicious! Fresh ingredients, well-balanced flavors, and a perfect portion size.

The staff was also very accommodating and knowledgeable about dietary preferences, which made me feel completely at ease. It’s clear that they care about all their guests and strive to offer something for everyone.

Whether you're vegetarian or just looking for a delicious, satisfying meal, I highly recommend checking out 花馬春天. I’ll definitely be coming back!”

“i went on 15-Jan and tenperature was -32 degrees. i walked in around 11, probably as the first customer. i was greeted by 2 people who understood that i came walking, made me comfortable and i had the best latte and banana bread in recent years. The food itself was good. The fish were fresh. Most pieces were common fish. The size of the dishes were not that big.
I ordered the salmon and ikura don while my friend ordered the chirashi don. Both were OK.
I would go back if nearby. But likely try other sushi places first where it's dine in.”

Ordered K-Army stew ($18.50), Takoyaki -6 pieces ($8.95), Original fried chicken -18 pieces ($36.50) with add on French fries is ($5) & extra sauce ($2). It was freshly made and so hot when we ate it !

I tried their crema coffee, and it was incredible — rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced. You can really taste the quality and care they put into every cup.

The pastries and baked goods looked (and tasted) amazing too — everything felt authentic and made with love. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with that true Italian bakery charm.

“Went to this store because I really needed a birthday cake and since I work just across the street I thought why not give it a try. Oh boy they did not disappoint. Every cent I spent was worth it. The cake looked amazing, tasted even better, and the birthday celebrant and everyone else loved it. They even asked me where I got it so they could try it too. “Visited vegetarian restaurant Bo Tree today, and I highly recommend it. The carrot purree soup is a nice surprise, which is not our typical combo soup. Fancier, in a good way. The Japanese "chicken" Katsu is prepared with Japanese rice, with very fluffy eggs. The curry is flavorful and better than some of those I have tried in authentic Japanese restaurant. The"chicken" is chewy, and surprisingly resembled the real counterpart. The dumplings udon is a good choice for comfort food. The menu has a huge selection, and I would definitely go back again to try their other dishes. Their fish and chips will be the next on my radar.”

Everybody loved the pies! With our order, we also got small to-go containers so our guests could take the leftovers and it was a huge hit! The person at the cash was friendly. I like the cooler bag you get when you buy a lot of stuff. I'm from Ottawa and we don't have great dim sum here, so I loaded up a cooler with goodies.

Prices are good and the store is bright and organized. I haven't tried the ready made meals, but everything else was as I expected them to taste. I guess I'll have to continue to load up my cooler whenever I'm in Markham... until the franchise opens in Ottawa!”

The portion sizes are much larger than expected. I ordered the BBQ pork on rice, and it was the first time I finished the rice while still having BBQ pork left — very generous serving.

We also tried the fried chicken leg with fries. The chicken leg was literally bigger than my face, with a super crispy skin. The fries were fragrant and well-seasoned.

During afternoon tea hours, drinks are included for free. we tried the red bean ice cream drink and the grass jelly ice cream drink. Both were good and tasted just like they should.”

“I don't think it's fair to give this place low ratings for not meeting the superb standard that was set by the previous owner. This place is not a franchise.

I went for dinner on late Sunday night. The restaurant looks old and not very well lit. As other reviewers have mentioned, the restaurant is run by only one staff. He tried to make my dining experience comfortable: offering counters with a wider seatings and turned on additional lights while I read the menu.

I ordered the halibut fish and chips, and the fried fish checks all the boxes. It is not dry, flaky, not over-battered, and have fair portion size. Fries can get a bit dry after a few minutes, but I was allowed to use as much condiments as I desired with the large squeeze bottle. The tartar sauce is standard to
the majority's taste bud - not overly sour or sweet.

Sure this place may no longer be the "hidden gem" or "the local's favourite", but it still has its own charm and imperfection like any locally own restaurant. It offers budget option (the lunch size halibut) which are all under $20. It runs from 7am to 9pm everyday. It is halal friendly. The dining area is rustic but good for those who wants to have a quick yet decent meal without sitting among the crowd (something that seems harder to avoid in Markham as times goes on).

I will eat here again whenever I get a craving for fish and chips.”
