“Another one of those stay-light-before-the-movie meals, and we decided to check out Kore Chicken nearby. We went for the lunch special and tried Original, Soy Garlic, and Spicy Butter Chicken, with fries tossed in Honey Butter seasoning for one of the sets.
I had no idea what to expect walking in, and was honestly surprised to learn they use air fryers here. Now, taste-wise, let's be real. I’ve had better fried chicken elsewhere and yes, there are spots that push a bit more in quality. But here's the catch: at this price point, it’s rather impossible to complain. Sure, the sauce toss was lazy, and a few bites were a bit on the funky-smelling side, but it all somehow landed within the range of “worth it.”
Fries were a lot crispier than expected, and so was the batter. Air fried or not, the texture really surprised me. It’s weirdly satisfying. Getting into the place was also a bit awkward for a first-timer, but I’ll chalk that up to the building’s layout, not the restaurant’s fault.
Overall, it’s one of those spots that feels like a random find, and turns out a lot better than you gave it credit for at first. No complaints here, and honestly hope they stick around. I wouldn’t mind coming back when craving something easy and affordable that still hits the spot!”

Because it’s in Unionville, the place has a cozy, welcoming vibe that made the whole experience so much better. Definitely worth a visit!”

I recently visited 花馬春天 and was genuinely impressed by the entire experience. From the welcoming atmosphere to the attentive service, everything was top-notch.

My kids and my wife are vegetarian, I’m always a bit cautious when dining out, but flower & Horse in spring crossing the bridge Rice Noodles exceeded my expectations. Their vegetarian options were not just an afterthought—they were thoughtfully crafted, flavorful, we tried the Vegan option of crossing the bridge Rice Noodles, and it was absolutely delicious! Fresh ingredients, well-balanced flavors, and a perfect portion size.

The staff was also very accommodating and knowledgeable about dietary preferences, which made me feel completely at ease. It’s clear that they care about all their guests and strive to offer something for everyone.

Whether you're vegetarian or just looking for a delicious, satisfying meal, I highly recommend checking out 花馬春天. I’ll definitely be coming back!”

“1st time here and came with my 13-year old daughter as she loves sushi. Service was excellent - more of a take out spot with very minimal dining area seating. We took it to go and bought one of their featured combo platters to share and ate at a park behind the restaurant. Sushi was excellent, only downsides were the pink ginger, we prefer yellow, and the artificial flavoured soy sauce, wasabi was great though. Lots of cool fresh and frozen options to buy in store, as well.”

“Calabria Bakery in Unionville is an absolute gem! The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the smell of fresh pastries and coffee — pure heaven. I tried their crema coffee, and it was incredible — rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced. You can really taste the quality and care they put into every cup.

The pastries and baked goods looked (and tasted) amazing too — everything felt authentic and made with love. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with that true Italian bakery charm.

“Visited vegetarian restaurant Bo Tree today, and I highly recommend it. The carrot purree soup is a nice surprise, which is not our typical combo soup. Fancier, in a good way. The Japanese "chicken" Katsu is prepared with Japanese rice, with very fluffy eggs. The curry is flavorful and better than some of those I have tried in authentic Japanese restaurant. The"chicken" is chewy, and surprisingly resembled the real counterpart. The dumplings udon is a good choice for comfort food. The menu has a huge selection, and I would definitely go back again to try their other dishes. Their fish and chips will be the next on my radar.”

“Went to this store because I really needed a birthday cake and since I work just across the street I thought why not give it a try. Oh boy they did not disappoint. Every cent I spent was worth it. The cake looked amazing, tasted even better, and the birthday celebrant and everyone else loved it. They even asked me where I got it so they could try it too. It was not too sweet, just the perfect balance and very fruity because they did not skimp on the mangoes. Happy customer right here and I will definitely be back. 🎂✨”

The matcha flavor was fairly rich🍵, and the ice had a wonderfully light, creamy texture - not too sweet, which I loved! Best fish and chips I’ve had in the GTA area, and definitely in Markham (sorry McCowan’s Fish & Chips haha)… it’s a humble little spot with great quality food and huge portion sizes. One meal could easily feed 2 adults. Would avoid the brisket though, it’s a bit dry. Looking forward to try their breakfast omelette and poutine. They do take an incredibly long time to cook and serve but its worth the wait. Their potato game is on point!”

“So glad I discovered Fu Kee Bao Dim! They offer a huge variety of dim sum, baos, dumplings, and Chinese dishes that make life so much easier. Everything is frozen and ready to steam, no need to defrost! The location closest to me is right across from Markville Mall. The lady there is super friendly and helpful, she took the time to introduce different dim sum options and explain how to properly steam them. My top favourites are the Cream Custard Bun, Har Gow, and Siu Mai, highly recommended! Perfect for quick, tasty meals at home.”

“Egg tart was full of egg flavour. Texture was smooth and custardy. Skin was flakey and delicious - 10/10 and definitely would come back!

Wife cake was perfect texture and sweetness. Filling had winter melon pieces which added a nice contrast in texture to the chewy filling. Just by looking at the cakes in the store, I knew they would be very good quality. My eyes did not lie. These wife cakes were as good as Kam Do in Vancouver!”

I've been to this location before but I didn't remember my past experiences so I revisited on Canada Day with my gf.

Service was fast. Used the ordering kiosk, waited maybe 5 min and boom drink was ready on the counter.

Genuinely surprised at the low aggregate rating for this place. Maybe it's a bunch of old scores from when this place was new? Staff seemed very efficient and courteous as well.”

“Very good claypot rice. The soups are not delivious but are very nutritious. Claypot rice takes at least 20 minutes to cook - I heard the next table order ahead via phone and got their meals quicker.

The service is so bad it is laughable. Just enjoy the food and don't expect the staff to smile or do anything basically.”

“A solid 4.5 local fine dining with great food and service.
It's my go to place when I want fresh oysters and good quality food. I'm a regular (so I forgot to take a picture of the soups).
The price is very affordable so I always come here for a main course and you get a complimentary soup (French onion or Lobster bisque) or salad. I always get the soup and it's always good.

Foie gras is always super tasty and cooked to perfection. Price is decent I think $20? for one order (has two pieces which is perfect for two people to share)
Oysters are always very fresh.

The duck, however, wasn't very good. I ordered it many years ago and it used to be better. But it wasn't good with my most recent two visits. I find the duck breast too big and the quality of the raw ingredient (the duck) wasn't good, feels like it's not tender enough and not juicy, so it was hard to chew (I tried to order medium rare and medium and both times are good so it's not the cooking, I think it's the quality of the duck itself).

- chicken supreme
- Berkshire pork steak

I'm a regular here and I will come back whenever I need a quick fine dinner that doesn't cost a fortune.”

“My fav Hong Kong style茶餐廳in Markham. Staff are efficient drinks are good . Milk tea and lemon tea are authentic. Fair price and pretty easy to get a seat. (Unless u are in a large group) I usually go there at 6-8 pm during weekends.”
