“On December 28th, 2025, I visited for a family get-together dinner. I gave feedback based on food. Our table order first: Hot and sour soup. Oh, no..soup was no taste. Appetizer was good. Then I ordered squid curry puttu combo. Puttu was not cooked. Finally, they ordered Watalappam and Payasam for dessert. Watalappam No taste. Please taste the food before serving customers.“

“This is my go-to place for biryani. The best I've had! Light, fluffy and delicately spiced. The food is so good and the staff are so friendly it's like my 2nd home! The gongura biryani (veg or chicken) is probably my favourite, also really like the mughlai chicken biryani.“

“This white sauce pasta was absolutely delicious! The sauce was perfectly creamy, rich, and flavorful with just the right balance of herbs and spices. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the bits of onion and bell pepper added a nice crunch and freshness. The garlic bread was crisp, buttery, and paired so well with the pasta — great for dipping into that smooth sauce. A comforting, satisfying meal that I’d definitely love to have again!“

“We visited Desi Bar & Grill yesterday on 14 Dec 2024. The experience was worth mentioning as the Desi Bar & Grill's Interior was quite impressive, with the relaxed feeling of an entertaining restaurant with the food, bar service, and server courtesy. It deserves a stars (*****) rating except for one suggestion. It is nice to hear the ever-green Indian Songs except for the loudness associated with the noise this created necessitating keeping it low will be dignified and relaxing for distinguished visitors to engage in audible mutual conversation rather than put restraint and blockage by loud music. Running of soft Indian 'Gazals' will add to the environment apart from Punjabi/Hindi songs.“

“Absolutely a must go place for authentic food lovers. Food are as fresh and delicious as home cooked with a touch of delicacy.Food never go wasted. We love to eat there , children loves to go there. “Had such a great time at Indraprastha. The food was honestly amazing—so fresh and full of flavor. You can tell they really care about what they’re serving. I especially loved the tandoori chicken and ghee roast biryani but everything we tried was spot on. The vibe of the place is just perfect too—warm, welcoming, and really nicely done without feeling over the top. It’s one of those spots you fell in love with.The moment you walk in, the space feels inviting and thoughtfully designed. The lighting was warm, the music was at just the right volume, and the whole place had a relaxed vibe. Highly recommend checking it out!“

“We came as a group of 7 people, after a temple visit late in the evening around 11:30pm. Great fantastic service from the staff especially during the night.

We ordered bajji , parotta with veg kuruma and various dosas. All of them were fantastic, and tasted delicious.
Everyone of us including the kids enjoyed the food!

They are open till 1am which is a positive!!

“I had the pleasure of eating at Goa a few days ago. The lady who seated us and helped with menu selection (Mary) was very welcoming and helpful. The menu is very interesting and diverse. I had the branzino and basmati rice. The portions were plentiful, flavourful and excellent. I will certainly return to try another dish in the future.“

“Feb 18 2024 This was my first experience having South Indian cuisine. We relied on the expert recommendations from our server Akeel. The Dosas, Pav Bhaji, Spiced Lassi and Mango lassi were delish!! “The food here is really excellent. A must-try is their chicken tandoori platter. It comes with three different rubs on the most tender and moist chicken. Their butter chicken is excellent along with their noodles. Who knew getting noodles at an Indian place would be so good? The restaurant itself is very basic, but the staff (mostly family, I think) is really excellent. They were warm and very welcoming. I do mostly take out, and always call in instead of using an app. They will match or beat the prices. All in all, this is a great local spot for quality food.“

“The vibe was really nice because of the decorations the bathrooms were relatively clean and the tables were a lot cleaner there was a fly buzzing around but I think it may not usually and it was just this time, the place is inspected professionally the there is a lot of options on the menu. They also have a separate menu for Indian Chinese (Hakka) food it is good“

“I’ve been to Biryani Nation a couple of times, and you might think I’m saying this just because I’m South Indian but honestly, that’s not the case. I’ve never taken the time to review any Indian restaurant in Canada until now, and that’s because this place truly deserves it.

Their pulao is outstanding I’ve tried both their veg and non-veg options and I’m in love with both. You can genuinely taste the chef’s passion in every bite; it feels like the food is made with love.

“Yesterday after golf, a few of us decided to get together for a backyard thing. Socially distanced of course. Nobody had thought to arrange for food. I called Salimah and family at Khaike Paan. And within 30 minutes they prepared a succulent meal of Mishkaki, ribs, mogo and Kari kababs. The guys all enjoyed a beautiful meal. “I’m usually not big on vegetarian food, but since this new restaurant is just around the corner from my place, I had to check it out!

This is a pure vegetarian restaurant in Scarborough. They’ve got a wide variety of dishes including both curries and dosas.

During my visit, I tried their Masala dosa, which came with coconut chutney and sambar—absolutely mouth-watering! I also had butter and garlic naan with dal makhani and paneer kaju masala. Everything was so delicious, I was really impressed!

P.S updating this review to add that everything that I mentioned in this review still holds true in 2025. The food is still amazing and the dal makhani is one of the best in the city. Also, Krishna was our server in one of our recent visits and he really knows what customer service is, thank you for being attentive and for making sure we left with not just a happy tummy but with a positive experience.“

“Ordered the butter chicken roti and the street samosa and really enjoyed both, I'll be back. The butter chicken is delicious, though next time I'll add chick peas or something more on the filling. What you get is exactly as described - butter chicken in a roti wrap - and it could get messy. The street samosas were two samosas smashed, sliced and coated in sauces, sort of like a taco-bowl. Also delicious, and a big portion for an app. The mango lassi was just right and super thick, skip the straw and just crack the lid. Cheers!“
