“I recently discovered Sweetland, and it is by far the best fresh juice store I have come across. I find myself travelling over 30 minutes time and time again just for a cup of their amazing Juices. Not only are the drinks good, but the owners and workers are so kind. They will help with flavour choices, provide samples and even gave me a free drink.“

“The baklava is nice and super flaky which is sort of rare nowadays. Ingredients seemed high quality and fresh. If the bottom piece of the baklava was a touch less sweet, it would be perfect. The trilece was delicious, had balanced sweetness and the glazed top layer was amazing. It had an interesting and slightly different taste that you dont encounter often (in a good way). Guy that runs it is super nice and personable. Dont expect super low prices though, these pastries are quality. Would return 100%.“

“We ordered 2 mini cakes at 2pm. I'm 1km away and it took over an hour. Is it because they were freshly baked? No, they came cold, with condensation on the pack as if they were defrosting the last hour.

Aside from all that, they were DELICIOUS! The cakes were so moist and the icing was actually cream cheese frosting, not the fake knock off cream cheese kind. Amazing! I'm definitely coming back but maybe I'll pick up next time lol“

“The 2-tier cake that I recently ordered for my daughter’s birthday was absolutely amazing! The cake decorator/designer, Julia was so lovely since the beginning of the process at the time I met her in-person. She demonstrated above and beyond customer service checking in and calling days prior to confirm details and any last minute changes/cake design requests I wanted. Julia is so lovely and thoughtful and I very much appreciate it. Big thanks to Liron as well for coordinating the order and making my cake budget worth every dollar. Both cake flavours I requested were so tasty and not too sweet.

“I’ve been here twice and tried the coffee along with several croissants (hazelnut, plain, and almond). The croissants and coffee were delicious and of good quality. However, during my second visit, the cashier was a bit rude. She didn’t ask whether our order was for takeout or dine-in, and when I mentioned it was for dine-in, she seemed upset and told me I should have mentioned it earlier. Overall, it’s worth a visit, especially for the cozy and warm outdoor patio, but I don’t think I’ll be returning.“

“I finally had the chance to visit Bomou with my fam and it was a lovely experience from start to finish! We had the lemon meringue tart, bostock (brioche with almonds and flavoured with orange), apple caramel cookies, butter croissant, a piece of pie, a baguette, and an earl grey canele. To drink we had the coffee, an oat milk cappuccino, and the lavender lemonade! We also bought some of the loose leaf mint tea as a gift. Everyone adored what they ordered! All of the pastries were beautiful to the eye and wonderful on the palate! Flavours such as the orange in the bostock, the lemon in the tart and even the earl grey in the canele were fragrant and gentle, never overpowering or overwhelming! Beautiful texture to all the foods and even the drinks were impressive and expertly crafted! Their coffee is some of the very very best I have had in Canada. (Rich and velvety, non-astringent and not-sharp.) If you want a proper cup of coffee you’ll find it here!!! Their lavender lemonade is gorgeous! I love lavender and found this to be a delicate and refreshing combination and recommend you definitely try it out!!! (Plus the bottle is lovely!) We all were impressed with the helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff and were amazed by the talent and creativity of their baker/chef! Thank you Boumou for a delicious experience!!!!!“

“The Hazelnut Sea Cake is our go to for good cake. It’s nice, fluffy with that right amount of sweetness and crunchiness from the caramelized hazelnut. Would definitely recommend, if you are craving a good cake.

Note: Generally, their cake presentation is good but this time around it was not. It looks like a chunk was taken from the cake slice. That said, it was still a delicious cake.

We also tried the Blackball Lemon Aiyu Jelly Taro Ball with Aloe Vera bowl. It was nice and refreshing dessert. Would recommend if you are looking for something light as a dessert.

Lastly, we had the Ice Lemon Tea with Lemon Aiyu Jelly. It was refreshing, light and not so sweet drink which we enjoyed :)“

“I ordered a birthday cake here the first time. I expected the writings will be placed on top of the retangular cake. There are lots of empty spaces... why they put the writing on a very tiny piece of chocolate and put it at the side of the bottom. It was hardly to see what was in the writing. For what occasion and for who! Quite disappointed! And they charged me a price of $17 more according to their listed price of $65 for a 8"x12" cake. Plus an extra of $20 for the pair of baby shoes (a plastic toy) for decoration. I also tried their bread, also find the textures are hard to chew... I wont return again.“

Took my nieces to Menchie's for a treat, and as always, it didn’t disappoint. I’ve been a fan of this place since my high school days, and I’m happy to say that the quality has stayed consistent over the years. The location is clean, well-maintained, and continues to be a fun spot to enjoy some frozen yogurt with family. One of the things I appreciate most is the variety of flavours and toppings available, which makes it easy to customize your dessert just the way you like it.

When it comes to frozen yogurt, Menchie’s offers a great selection of flavours, but my all-time favourite is definitely the Oreo. It’s rich, creamy, and pairs perfectly with a wide array of toppings. Speaking of toppings, the selection here is impressive. Whether you’re into fresh fruit, candy, or nuts, there’s something for everyone. My nieces had a blast choosing their own combinations, and it’s always fun to see their creative concoctions. However, a word of caution—make sure to pace yourself while enjoying the frozen yogurt, as it’s all too easy to get a brain freeze if you dive in too quickly (especially when it’s as tasty as it is here).

Menchie’s also has a self-serve setup, which adds to the fun of creating your own dessert. You can choose exactly how much yogurt you want, and add as many toppings as you like. It’s great for both kids and adults who enjoy being a bit creative with their food. However, one small downside is that the chairs in the seating area aren’t particularly child-friendly. They’re a bit wobbly and not ideal for younger kids, so if you’re coming with little ones, you’ll need to keep an eye on them while they’re seated. It’s a minor issue, but something to be aware of if you’re visiting with children.

Overall, my experience at Menchie’s was enjoyable, as it usually is. It’s a reliable spot for a sweet treat, and I’m glad this location is still around after all these years. Whether you’re looking for a place to take the kids or just want to indulge in some frozen yogurt yourself, Menchie’s is a great option. Just be cautious if you’re bringing younger children due to the seating, but other than that, it’s a fun and delicious spot to visit.
