“Been to Mary Brown’s on Upper James for the first time today. Restaurant was very clean. Anand was super nice and helped me choose the right amount of food for me and my daughter. Chicken was fresh and very tasty (better than KFC). However, I found the taters and gravy to be a little salty. The coleslaw was very good if you like it very creamy. Will definitely return, thanks Anand!“

“Let's start by appreciating the employees I dont mean any exaggeration but for they creat quality food with passion thats something very rare to find these days.
An example today me and my friend we couldent stop licking our fingers after each bite for how good it was something I took in was they put extra sauce in there drum sticks a small detail but such rarity and im going to be very bold, I hope that this branch doesn't turn like any other restaurants for this Mary browns location is unique“

“Stopped by Charred last night during the Hamilton Art Crawl, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our evening. Given how packed the area gets during Art Crawl nights, we weren't sure we'd manage to get a table without a long wait, but we got lucky and were seated fairly quickly.
We ordered the chicken with slaw, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavour, while the slaw added a nice crunchy, refreshing contrast to balance out the richness of the dish. To go with our meal, we had a draft Lager, which was crisp and refreshing, exactly what you want on a hot summer evening.
We also asked for the Spicy sauce on the side, expecting to need it to kick things up a notch. But honestly, the chicken was so well-seasoned and tasty on its own that the sauce ended up being more of a bonus than a necessity.
What really stood out, though, was the service. Despite the restaurant being busy with the Art Crawl crowd, our server was fast, attentive, and polite throughout the meal. It's clear the team knows how to handle a rush without compromising on hospitality.
Overall, Charred offers a great combination of quality food, good drinks, and friendly service, all in a lively atmosphere. Whether you're grabbing a bite during Art Crawl or just looking for a solid spot in Hamilton, I'd highly recommend checking this place out. We'll definitely be back!

“First time at this location. The food and restaurant overall was excellent. I wish we lived closer then i would hit this please up once a week. The chicken was cooked perfect and juicy. The sauce left available for anyone to use at anytime is a great idea. We were a group of 10 and no else was unhappy.“

“I saw some reviews mentioning the pregnant lady, but my experience was completely different. She was very nice, professional, and helpful. I’ve always had a great experience with both the customer service and the food. The wings are some of the best in Burlington, and I’ve never been disappointed, whether ordering from the Guelph Line or Appleby Line location. Keep up the great work!“

“This is the best fried chicken in Hamilton, it beats juicy birds, Popeyes, KFC, Mary browns and churches, the chicken was amazing, the fries were unbelievable, very crispy on the outside and soft in the middle, the customer service was amazing too, we called and they didn’t answer but they called back and answered all our questions during the dinner rush, hands down the best experience we have had.“

“Love this place! Every day they have a different chicken sandwich on a nice bun. My favorite is the Smiley which is nicely breaded. It's available on Monday and Fridays. You get the sandwich, wedges and a bottle of pop for $9.99. Can't beat that. Also they have 1/2 off appetizers a different one each day. We always go on Mondays for their garlic bread and cheese $5 . Highly recommend“

“Amazing service. The guy at the front counter is super sweet, nice and actually listened, I said I hadn't eaten all day and came out with fresh fries and chicken for me to eat while I was waiting. Chicken and fries were super crispy and flavorful. Its people like this that make the world better. Was super nice as im at McMaster children's hosptial with my sick infant daughter really appreciate this business being an hour and a half away from home ❤“

“This was my first visit to Popeyes EVER! I always assumed it was spicy so I avoided it. I had the regular version and it was fantastic. It's a million times better than KFC. I had the chicken burger combo and my friend had the 2 piece with fries. We we greeted as soon as we walked in. My guy mentioned my chicken burger would take a little longer as it was being cooked fresh. It was the best fried chicken burger I've had. The seasoning was delicious, the meat was moist and the fries are great! I will definitely be coming back!“

“Ordered in some chicken , fries , biscuits and drink.Pieces were nice and fresh. Biscuits tasty and fries was deliciousDefinitely recommend this location for Popeyes.Some locations are not as good. Fennel and upper Wenthworth serves old chicken they refry. Be aware of that location

“Ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and it was great. It was the perfect bun/chicken ratio and the spice is in the sauce they put on the bun. The chicken had that crunch when you bite in. I would recommend it. It was $10.
