The owner does all the cooking, which ensures a consistently high level of quality and freshness in every dish. The prices are also very reasonable, making it easy to indulge in excellent Japanese and Thai cuisine without breaking the bank.

“We had dinner at Kona last night in Tecumseh on the rooftop. We had a fantastic meal and the service was great, considering there was only one wait staff up there. He did a wonderful job. My only complaint would be the seating. They are funky looking chairs, but they’re SOOOO uncomfortable. I’m 5’6 and the seat was way too deep!! Forces you to sit perched forward, which is really uncomfortable. And the seats are so hard I actually had a very sore tailbone. Other than that it was GREAT!!!!“

The dishes I ordered were pretty and delicious. The sushi itself was really tasty and not bad for the price, I liked the variety. They weren’t rolled very well though and fell apart when using chop sticks.“

Specifically, we had an incredible miso soup, wagyu yakitori, a tuna tartare & truffle maki, and nigiri that would just perfectly balanced flavor bombs. Fantastic service, amazing execution.
