“My experience at this particular location was great ! I have no complaints. The food was excellent and was intentionally prepared with love and satisfaction. I was actually impressed. The food and bottomless coffee was 10/10. Thank you to our server Chinnu and kitchen staff !“
“Sheila, our server, was lovely and very efficient. Definitely recommend coming here and asking for her as a server!! The food was delicious and we were served promptly and food came super fast despite the business inside :) Pur and Simple is my boyfriend and I’s favourite breakfast restaurant and will continue to be!Thank you for the great experience Sheila!“
“I've visited other locations of Pur + Simple. This was my first visit to the Woodbridge/Vaughan location. Jasmine was our server and she was really great: very friendly and helpful! Our breakfasts were hot, fresh and tasty. The menu has something for everyone! I especially enjoy the French toast and the P+S potatoes. this is my new favourite breakfast spot! (pictured: Canadian breakfast with French toast; not pictured: whole wheat toast)“
“I came in early today and had such an amazing experience between the food and the service! My server Jasmine was very good with my kids giving them stickers which made their day. She gave excellent service and was always smiling. I recommend not just pur and simple but this specific location!“
“Beautiful restaurant and the food was excellent. Coffee was great but most of all our server Jenna was fantastic! She went above and beyond to make my Wife’s birthday brunch enjoyable, by not only providing exceptional service but also surprising her with a complimentary mimosa and dessert. I highly recommend this place!“
“This place specializes in egg sandwiches. They have a variety of options but I like The Classic the most. I find that the sandwiches are hearty so eating one is quite filling. I liked the lobster as well but I wished it had more lobster inside. The bread is soft and buttery. They have a small seating area so it can be difficult to eat it inside. Overall, the service is good and the sandwich is flavorful.“
“This is THE go to spot! The diner atmosphere and warm welcome from the staff make Gordo's my family's Sunday brunch spot. We come for the delicious food and stay for the staff. Min and her fabulous team always accommodate any substitutions or dietary restrictions with ease. Both the breakfast and lunch dishes are all incredible! Be sure to try the country rounds with your breakfast! Give this place a try... I promise you, you will keep coming back!Dietary restrictions: Flexible options for vegetarians, celiac, nut allergies, keto etc. They accommodate for any dietary restrictions.Kid-friendliness: They offer a children's menu filled with goodies! (Chocolate chip pancakes, French toast, eggs etc). They have several high chairs/booster seats for kids and the staff are wonderful with kids.“
“our server was named Josie. she was very kind, helpful, attentive, and overall amazing. she continued to check on us and our needs throughout our meal. she had a great attitude and was very happy. always had a smile on her face. overall, i had an amazing experience with josie. definitely deserves a “
“I’ve been going to OEB since they had the original little shop on Edmonton Trail with the ridiculous lines. I’m glad that they constantly tinker with the menu and add experiments but please bring back my Hogs and Scallops. I don’t care if scallops cost more now, raise the price but keep it on the menu.“
“Warm, welcoming, kid-friendly place serving brunch staples at a reasonable price. Attentive, kind staff make you feel right at home; a great spot to be a regular. My new favourite Sunday tradition is stopping here with my wife and young son.“
“Stumbled on this place and what a lovely surprise. We ordered two brunch dishes. They were so good we ordered another bagel on top. Plus we added a couple of cookies to our order with coffee. Chef’s kiss to this place. We will definitely come again!“
“This new place is so lovely with its beautiful decor and ambience. My friend really enjoyed her smoked salmon with potato pancakes (which I can attest was yummy!), but I was disappointed with my chicken schnitzel sandwich. It was only okay. If I came back, I would definitely get what my friend had ordered. At first, the dessert variety was enticing, but, upon inquiring further, there were only really about 4 available cakes out of the many on display. The one we wanted wasn’t available so we got the Tirumisu, which was tasty. We appreciated the kind gesture of a cake and small toasts on the house.I wasn’t necessarily wow’d by my first experience, but I’d be willing to try the potato pancakes if I came back.“
“I come here when I’m in the area and while it’s always busy, we get seated fast. I order egg whites, pancakes, or the sunset breakfast with eggs, bacon, potatoes. Waitresses are all friendly, the portion sizes are big and it’s not expensive.“
“I totally loved this great little café! I used to be an east ender but no more... otherwise it would be on my list for weekend brunch. I visited on a weekday, midmorning, for breakfast and it was quiet and so pleasant! The standout was the lima beans. For real! I'm not a big bean person so i wasn't sure... but I'm a convert. Definitely beans worth a trip across town!!“
“DEE-licious. I've passed this spot for years on the Kipling bus and finally went in for breakfast. What a great menu! They cover just about anything you might want. I had the keto breakfast, which was fantastic, tasty, and generous. I had enough left over for lunch. Definitely won't be my last “
“This was by far the best most affordable breakfast I’ve had in the Markham area. My eggs were cooked perfectly the home fries were done on a flat top not deep-fried it was perfect!!! 5 stars!!!!! Coming from a trained chef I would highly highly recommend this place. ?“
“Just wanted to thank the amazing staff for a wonderful experience. We had a work breakfast meeting with 10 of us and I was very pleased. Food was delicious and the service was on point. I will definitely be eating at the Vaughan City Grill in the near future“
“This was one of the best breakfasts we've ever had!!! The food was plentiful, tasted amazing. Our waitress was spot on and very attentive. Reasonably priced. If we're ever in the area again, we will definitely be going here!!! A Must visit grill!!“
“It’s a good casual breakfast place. Food is above average and the service is fast. The place is very clean.Vegetarian options: You can get a salad, veggie omelette and sides of tomatoesDietary restrictions: The place is flexible with dietary restrictionsParking: Plenty of parking.“
“Sis took me here on my day off for brunch to chill and yea, it's in a commercial area. The husband and wife team work hard to prepare food for you. Kitchen up front looked clean and organized. The prices are great. I had a Veal Cutlet on a bun with fries and a black coffee for $7.99. Window seats all around and very cosy. Worth checking out if in the area or meeting someone for a chat. Watch the hours because it's a day only diner. Cheers!Parking: Went at about 2pm and found lots of parking around.“
“My wife and I were there for breakfast as she found this place for something local to try and we were not disappointed at all. Ambience and decor is amazing just like the old " sock hop" days. Service was wonderful friendly ( thanks to all the ladies especially Shy , if we have that correct hopefully. My wife ordered the eggs benedict with the eggs medium-hard they came as she ordered and I had the scrambler dish which came out sizzling in the pan just as it should be.Amazing home fries just as they should be made with real potatoes. As one show said " Ya Gotta Eat There" We will be back Colin and Alexx Crooke“
“First time at Big Sizzler, and it was amazing! The food was so good, and the staff was one of the friendliest I've ever met. It was my daughter's second birthday today and they went above and beyond by singing her happy birthday, and bringing her out some pancakes. I would highly recommend it. They also have some of the best Eggs Benedict in the city!“
“Breakfast All day was delicious. We got pancakes, omelettes and a beef wrap. All very good. Friendly staff, excellent service. We will be back. Atmosphere was like a diner, charming and cozy.Kid-friendliness: Went with my son and his friend during March break. Menu is perfect for kids“
“Offering an English breakfast with good selection of pancakes, eggs, sausages, pans, coffees and juices cora is a comfort place if you don't want to risk your breakfast. My recommendation go for basic stuffAvoid fancy plates as they are not that great and they tried to invent dishes without understanding the sodium and salt levels.. Example- Haloumi, Sausage both have high salts and makes the dish have high salts due to its preservation, so the final pan breakfast tastes very salty and that too with mushrooms which have umami flavours...Better try poached or Benedict eggs or simply order ur choice of eggs with pancakes.“
“Huge portion for the price you pay. I ordered a Havarti Beef Melt ($20) with a side of fries. The sandwich was presented with both sides facing up, so I thought a little weird for a sandwich to be opened but I totally understand why... they were a hefty portion. The beef brisket was tender, and saucy, just the right amount of salt to flavour it up. It would have been better if the Havarti cheese slice (THICK!!!) was more melty. Fries were crispy and pretty thick cut. Overall if you work around this area, Mr Nick's wouldn't be a stranger to you. But definitely worth a try!“
“First time here and loved it! Food was great, filling, and hot. Tons of fresh coffee and not once did we feel hurried. Very friendly staff and a nice, clean restaurant. A special shout out to our waiter from Montreal! (My apologies, as I didn't get your name like I usually do. :)) Definitely will come back! :)“
“We just got to downtown from the airport and were famished. We wanted brunch and found this awesome spot within walking distance of union station that still served their brunch menu in the middle of the afternoon. I’m so happy we came here because it’s exactly what I wanted. Will definitely come here again!“
“After searching through tons of listings for breakfast near us, we settled on this restaurant. We came on a Friday morning and were sat immediately but a pleasant staff member. The menu options are substantial but we settled on the four cheese omelette and the banana, nut, and caramel French toast. My mom really loved her French toast! It was flavorful and cooked nicely. She enjoyed her coffee as well. I did not order coffee as I felt the prices were a bit high. My four cheese omelet was ok, it definitely could have been hotter when it arrived at the table and the cheese was not sufficiently melted for my taste. That being said, it tasted fine and i enjoyed the cheese combination. The home fries were cooked perfectly and the toast was good. The service was great, except the server did not come back and check on how the food was, as I am accustomed to. I’m not sure I would have asked her to have them beat my omelet more but I do like to have the opportunity. The vibe in this restaurant is pretty cool, I like the color scheme and the general setup. All in all, not the best but still good. .“
“Breakfast on the last morning of your stay. We had already fallen in love with Toronto, but this restaurant was the final highlight of our experience, why we will definitely come back to play here. The kids had pancakes and smoothies. I personally ordered the traditional Egg Benedict version, which was 10+. The kids ate half of my portion after getting a first taste of the new treat. I don't think fried eggs are good enough anymore. ;)The atmosphere, service and decor works for families with kids, couples and larger groups alike. The kids and I give you 5 stars, thank you.“
“Super fresh Bagel to go. They have a great collection of pastries and sandwiches. Recommended for both breakfast and a small lunch. They serve coffee and tea as well. Always being fresh, that's their key to success. Prices are also very reasonable.“
“Had brunch here on a weekend. Had the classic middle eastern breakfast - the omelette and sausage were delicious. The coffee and pita were okay. The cappuccino was good. The potatoes in the Cilbir and spicy potatoes breakfast was phenomenal. Service may feel a bit slow but if you aren't in a hurry and don't like to feel rushed, this may not be a bad thing. Made a reservation before coming in order to avoid a wait. There are paid parking lots and street parking in the area. Would come back to try some other dishes.“
“A great spot for delicious breakfast sandwiches! Came here on a Saturday morning and it was very busy around 11am (around 45min wait) but well worth it. Got the son of a rise with chipotle mayo and it was so delicious! Tried their latte which was great too. Service was friendly and quick. Would recommend!“
“A comfortable diner with lots of space and a relaxed atmosphere. The coffee isn't great, the food is yummy breakfast comfort food , and they don't care if your kid is rowdy or if you sit there for ages. The servers are patient and warm.Vegetarian options: There are some great veggie options!Kid-friendliness: Extremely kid friendly.“
“Surprisingly, the restaurant has a 76-year history, providing a classic breakfast experience. The confident waiter and half-open kitchen offer a transparent glimpse into the culinary process. The traditional menu's simplicity and quality ingredients make dining here an authentic and delightful choice. I look forward to my next visit to try more dishes.“
“Went on a Saturday at 10am. Had mochaatte with oat milk, Monte cristo waffle sandwich, and chicken and bacon waffle sandwich. It was the perfect portion size. Salad and fruit were fresh. The mocha latte was done perfect and came with a side of chocolate wafer. The local art work is beyond amazing! I wish I had written down the artists name that drew the cutest animal paintings. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.Looking forward to going back.“
“If you are in the long line to Drive Test this is a best place to wait!)Service is great, food is mostly good (just holandesse feels a bit chemical, and you have to order salad aside not part of the meal. coffee is fine, eggs are great! My wife recommends an avocado toast, and she has high standarts).9.5 out of 10 I would say :)“
“One of my favorite go to restaurants for breakfast. Service is quick and friendly, servings plentiful and the atmosphere, very pleasant. If l go solo, I'll bring a magazine, chill, taking my time and throughly enjoy the respite. The proprietor, Linda, is always quick with a warm smile and when time permits quite talkative.“
“Had the eggsmart tri-fecta. The Belgium waffle is a thick eggo waffle. Absorbs maple syrup well. It's soft on the inside. The skin isn't thick.[Jan 21 2024 entry]Had the smoked salmon Benedict. Not sure how to eat it without getting messy (poached egg and holl(something) sauce. ). I didnt think it was filling when I saw it but it was just right. Loved the home fries. Coffee (extra) was alright. Staff is courteous. Might try their omelettes next time.“
“I really like this place. I’ve been for breakfast with a friend and had the full breakfast with peamale + pancake. I forgot that’s what pancakes are SUPPOSED to be like. So fluffy and delicious.I also just enjoyed a takeout peameal and egg sandy on rye with spinach, tomato, and onion. The food here is really good. The quality is excellent, ingredients are FRESH, portions are a great size, and meals are tasty, uncomplicated, and unpretentious. This is not the place for your ‘gourmet’ breakfast. But, it IS the place for legitimately all other breakfasts. Hangovers. Family. Breakfast with a friend on a Saturday morning. Etc.The space and owner are unassuming and service is excellent.“
“we waited maximum 10 minutes and we went around 10:30 ish on a Sunday. the service was very fast and we got our food with what felt like within 5 minutes. the food is yummy and the proportions are decent. service was good until the end, where she hadn’t come back to our table for a bit so turn over for tables weren’t rushed, felt bad because people have to wait outside for seating. Good safe choice to have breakfast/brunch at! (Excuse the terrible lighting of the photos lol)“
“Tastes as good as I remember! February 18/24- touring downtown as I stumbled across this childhood memory. The kid in me knew I had to stop by so I did so and it didn’t disappoint! I have vivid memories of when my dad took me and my sister here in Scarborough but this eggsmart is nice too! Furthermore, shout out to the Turkish waiter, he served me nicely and we joked around before he delivered my generously portioned food!“
“Food was really good! We had cappucinos, omlette and shakshuka, and a side order of the potatoes and a hazelnut royale croissant to end our brunch. All of the food was fantastic, they dont take resos, so get there early, and it takes a tiny bit of time, but the wait is worth it for the food!!“
“It was my first time here and the service was amazing. They were so attentive and caring and warm to us. Unfortunately, there was a customer in the table next to us treating the waitress with unnecessary disrespect which they handled with even more kindness. I would definitely come back here the food was very yummy and I loved how they served the orange juice it was so cute!“
“Had a really great experience at this location! The west coast omelette was delicious and the ambiance at this location was really nice. Hani from the staff had a really great energy and was so helpful when my friends and I visited for breakfast. Will be back again!“
“Nice spot on the Danforth if you want a light lunch. There’s a small patio. Cafeteria style. We ordered a BLT and a grilled sandwich - black forest ham and Swiss cheese. They were both tasty but a little on the expensive side for simple sandwiches. The food was good so we’ll visit again and definitely recommend to others.“
“Been wanting to try this place for awhile now and I'm glad I did. I had the Huevos Ahogados which were out of this world. A nice, spicy tomato sauce with avocado, feta and cilantro over my eggs and served with a crisp salad, chickpeas and warm toast. A+“
“went to Sunset this morning and needed to write a review for the awesome service by my waitress Chantal. Her service was outstanding, attentive and she's super personable. Told her what I wanted for breakfast and she gave me the best option. She took the time to speak to all her customers as we arrived, during the meal, and at departure. Super sweet with one of the elderly couple having breakfast. The staff in this location is so attentive; removing dishes; multiple passes to see if you need anything, refilling your coffee, and overall just great customer service. Highly recommend this location. Great job by everyone at this location.Parking: you need to the restaurant validate your slip“
“A well run sunset grill!Portions were big, and you get what you expect. We had a large group and they were able to seat us. I did call in about 30 min before to let them know.Service was great, the waitress had a great sense of humor and was able to split the bill properly even with us all mixed around the table.“
“Friendly, efficient service with delicious, made to order food, at a nice price, and a great, laidback atmosphere. Peameal bacon was so good!!!! Great place to eat either for a quick bite or to enjoy a catch up chat over food with a great friend.Kid-friendliness: High chairs available“
“Took my family for breakfast this morning and the food was amazing and so was the service. I met the owner Steve who is a terrific guy and a smart business owner. It shows he’s amazing as he’s been there for 30+ years. Go visit Egglington grill and say hi to Steve!!.“
