And the portions are huge! So if you come by for lunch don't worry about dinner because you'll finish the rest later on that day!

“I work nearby and stopped in for the first time today. I had a souvlaki plate with a beef skewer. The food was incredibly tasty and the portions are huge. The owner was very nice and friendly and the location was clean.

“Greek taverna is our family's go to when ordering food. The Greek salad is always fresh and the dressing is so good. However, I must express my disappointment in the Greek salad dressing. For quite awhile the dressing hadn't been consistently good. When I first started going there the dressing was so flavourful that I would drop in to purchase just the dressing. Now we find it being less flavourful if any flavour at all. Again this is not consistent though. We had the salad two weeks ago and were so happy that the dressing taste flavourful as it should be. Tonight we ordered it and no flavour. Not sure what's going on. It almost taste as though more oil is being poured into the dressing I might have have to go elsewhere. So disappointed“

“We came here to catch up with a friend, and brought my wife and our toddler along for dinner. Overall, it was a lovely experience, though our toddler’s energy meant we had to take turns stepping outside with him!

The food was fantastic and came out quickly. For appetizers, we ordered Greek fries, kalamarakia, and the saganaki Opa!—which was a fun show with the little flame. All of the appetizers were flavorful and satisfying.

For my main, I went with the roast lamb, which came with roasted potatoes, vegetables, and a Greek salad. The lamb was tender and packed with flavor, though I would have liked the potatoes to have been a bit crispier on the outside. The veggie portion felt a little light, especially for a $35 plate, but the Greek salad on the side helped balance it out.

Overall, it was a great meal, and we definitely enjoyed the flavors and atmosphere. Highly recommend for a laid-back, flavorful Greek dinner on the Danforth!“

A giant slab of pork shank is the protein hit I need after walking to this restaurant. A deep, colourful sear brings a delicious Maillard flavour that coats moist and tender meat fibres. The roasted potatoes also get the same treatment and will make you appreciate the invention of grilling.“

“Authentic and absolutely delicious local Greek place. Real Greek Gyros is a hidden gem in Riverdale. I would walk by many times and never actually tried before. My Greek friend who is from Athens recommended it to me, and now I completely understand why. I had the pork gyros btw pronounced as gee-ros, not jai-ros , and it was honestly one of the best I’ve had juicy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. You can tell they take pride in doing it the authentic Greek way. Also learned that gyros means rotating grill.

The portion was huge definitely come hungry, and everything tasted so fresh from the warm pita to the crisp potatoes. It felt like a little taste of Greece right here at home.
