“Authentic and incredibly delicious Turkish cuisine — the meal includes appetizers (delicious spreads with homemade bread) and tea at the end (perfect digestive). The skewers were the most delicious I've had in Toronto, and the Alinazik was also mouthwatering (a combination of lamb and baba ghanoush). The service was beyond friendly, and there are nice sitting spaces outside, great on a summer evening! I definitely recommend this place, and I will be back again.“

“There is nothing I love more than Kezy Doner. Every time I go the food is utter perfection and I love everything about it. Life is beautiful when I go to Kezy Doner to have my beef doner; extra garlic and hot sauce.

I have gone here more times than I could even begin to count and somehow it gets better and better each time. I DON'T KNOW HOW THEY DO IT!

“We were looking for a quick and well-rated place to eat after a long day visiting Toronto and Sofra did not disappoint! The food was freshly made for us and delicious. Special attentions and smiles for our two daughters. Great service, amazing food and outstanding price-size-quality ratio! We especially loved the salad (amazing dressing), the mango juice and lemonade and the pizzas. The chicken was juicy and tasty. Portions is generous and they always bring extra dips and salads which is fantastic. They also offer tea after your meal. The only thing is they don't serve water, you have to buy bottle water. They are so accommodating and welcoming! And the is food beautifully done, tastewise as well as aesthetically.

We had a vegan, a vegetarian, a few super conservative picky eaters, a nut allergy, and a few international pallets. All were able to find food to their taste.

One thing I particularly loved and never had before was a dip from the Meze Platter. In the photo from their menu, it’s on the top left hand side. It’s made with red pepper and pomegranate juice. The sweet, spicy, and layered texture was a delightful surprise. Even the pickiest eater at the table loved it.“

“We’ve ordered from Shawarma Istanbul twice in the last week. Both times the mixed shawarma has been delicious. Delivery has been quick and it is amazing value for money. Two thumbs up.“

“Late one night, a friend and I needed some food to pad our stomachs from the alcohol we were having. A friendly gentleman greeted us as we ordered the shawarma poutine to split and some baklava. We had our pick of the tables as we were the only ones in the shop. When our order was ready, he gave us table service, serving us a mountain of some of the best shawarma I've ever had. On our way out, we decided to get a bar of his kunafa chocolate (apparently homemade) and it was just as stellar as the shawarma.

I visited Mustafa Turkish Kebap - Pide - Doner for lunch and it was an amazing experience. I had the yaprak döner with rice, and they served it with freshly baked warm bread. The food was very fresh, delicious, and honestly one of the best döner I’ve ever had abroad. The two waiters were also very friendly and welcoming, always with a smile. Definitely a place I would recommend and will come back to!“

To start, the meat maeesha had a really nice flatbread and the meat was nicely seasoned with a bit of a cinnamon flavour to it - this was unexpected but a delicious surprise for me. Next I had the mixed kebab, which I highly recommend. The meat, sauces, rice and pita were perfection. The hummus though… SO GOOD!! “I recently visited Almast Turkish in Mississauga and overall the experience was fine, but not exceptional. I tried their baklava, which looked appealing, but the taste was just okay - not as rich or fresh as I’ve had at other Turkish spots. On the other hand, I did enjoy their coffee. It had a good flavour and was probably the highlight of my visit.

The service was polite and efficient, though nothing particularly memorable. The space itself is pleasant enough if you want to sit and have a dessert with coffee, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back. In my opinion, it’s a decent option if you’re nearby and craving something sweet, but it didn’t stand out compared to other bakeries or cafés in the area.

“I am Korean Canadian with a pretty normal palate for food. I have become a regular here for the breads and pastry. In particular I love their personal sized pizzas and a tubular pastry that has feta and spinach Burek I think, I forget the name but absolutely the most crispy flaky and delicious breakfast I can have. Seems (pronounce Shems) is the gentlman usually behind the counter who is just the kindest man. They also have raw honey which my kids loved and I just tried the cherry drink. “A few weeks back, I met up with my good friend to stop in for a drink and dessert.

The server was really friendly and wanted us to try some desserts with our coffees. She was happy to make us a special blend of her Americano coffee for us. She did a great job!!

My friend and I were talking about Greece and opening up a cafe there and found out she was in Thessaloniki and loved it there, which is the area we were looking at opening a business.

Unfortunately, my friend had to fly out early morning so we had to leave early. We had a great time with the server and will continue the conversation the next time we are in the area.

I’m hoping she will see this and tell me what was the name of this dessert?
