We came to town for college basketball and stumbled upon Caldera's being close to the hotel. Drinks, soup, burgers, fish and chips, mushroom fettuccine...delicious. Fresh and full of their own flavors. So good, we came back a second time in parties of 6-8 and they were great with service, checking on us and again no one was dissatisfied with their food. The food was very good and fresh. I had the Beer Cheese soup, which was awesome. My husband had the Fish tacos which were fresh and tasty. My husband liked the beer. I had their homemade root beer, which was also very good. We'll definitely come back when we're in Ashland.

Caldera in Ashland, Oregon, was once a cherished favorite, especially with its roots dating back to the tap house on the creek in downtown Ashland. However, post-pandemic, there's been a noticeable decline in quality. While it remains a solid dining choice, the charm and excellence that long-time patrons fondly remember seem to have diminished.
