“Kudos to the employees at the Aloha Costco today!! Unexpectedly all registers went down! They immediately informed everyone and had all hands on deck to put back frozen foods or allow people to leave their carts and they worked quickly to restock items so they wouldn’t spoil. And the IT department had all registers fixed in about 30 minutes. As soon as they were back online, they got every single register open immediately. It was a bit of an inconvenience for sure but they showed excellent customer service throughout a very difficult situation - thank you!“

“If you're searching for the best Haitian restaurant in Portland, look no further than Tap Tap. This vibrant spot isn’t just about incredible Haitian cuisine — it’s a full cultural experience that blends delicious food, stunning Haitian artwork, and energetic nightlife. This is easily one of the best Black-owned restaurants in Portland that offers an authentic taste of Haiti’s rich heritage right in the heart of the city.
From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by colorful, eye-catching Haitian art that sets a unique, welcoming atmosphere. The menu features traditional Haitian dishes crafted with fresh ingredients and bold flavors, making it a top choice for foodies like myself who are seeking something different and unforgettable.
What truly sets Tap Tap apart is its lively nightlife, especially the Kompa Haitian dancing nights. This energetic music and dance scene invites guests to immerse themselves in Haitian culture while enjoying great food and drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Whether you’re out for dinner, a night of dancing, or both, Tap Tap is the best place to experience Haitian culture in Portland.
For anyone looking to support Black-owned businesses while enjoying exceptional food and an unforgettable cultural vibe, Tap Tap is hands down the best restaurant in Portland for a genuine Haitian experience.“

“One of the best gyro platters in town. It was delicious ! Super fresh and flavorful ingredients. The staff was very kind and friendly. Everything was top in my opinion. The only issue was the outdoor seating area, which felt uncomfortable due to people yelling nearby. I’d recommend takeout instead.“

“Came for a late stop around 1am. It was brightly lit and attention was prompt, friendly, and thorough! They double checked to make sure orders were well communicated. I got a lamb gyro (11.99$) with no alterations.
The pita bread was soft and yummy. There was a good portion of meat and overall was great. The only critique was that there was too much sauce, though the sauces were very good.“

“Nice cart pod. Has covered seating and a)gas) fire pit. Seems very pet friendly which is probably a plus for some people and a minus for others. Not a ton of food carts but a very good variety. Matt's barbecue is pretty famous. Around town. Is also a brewery stall that's quite large. And it's a good neighborhood to walk around in window shop or shop-shop.“

“My absolute fave! Found this place by searching nearby food places. When I saw the 5⭐️rating I had to try it. It did not disappoint. It became my go-to place in Portland when I come visit.“

“Theres a reason this place gets great reviews, for me its the fresh tasting no rice , no fussy and all flavor burritos at a reasonable price.
Solid tastes with the fresh ingredients feel, no trashy sisco beans, no masses of filler rice. Just good food.“

“This is one of my wife and I’s fav spots when we are needing some quick tasty grub. The Pad Kee Mao is always so aromatic and flavorful with the perfect amount of heat. Dom, the owner is always so sweet when we come pick up and we love having her food cart in the Mississippi Ave neighborhood.“

“We like all the food there trying sometime“
“Hesitant to recommend this because we were able to get a table on a Friday night, and if it gets too popular we may not be able to get a table. But this food cart pod & beer garden is sooo cute, sooo Portland, and sooo yum. Try the strawberry rhubarb sparkling citrus booze. Enjoy! ps if y’all get live music one of these days, I’m moving back from NYC for you. Xoxo food cart girl“
“Such a vibe! This spot has a great festive energy all around. The setup is perfect - a bunch of food carts surrounding a covered middle seating area, so you can eat comfortably rain or shine.
The variety is insane: Indian, Thai, pizza, Mexican, poke, gyro, wings, Chinese, Middle Eastern, and Sri Lankan. Most of what we ordered was delicious. Major bonus points for having decent bathrooms and tons of easy parking nearby. Definitely a great hangout spot!“

“Loved the convenience and it was nice that they have a little bar with happy hour. The pad Thai from Little Thai Peacock was delicious. I was disappointed with the shrimp dumplings from Shanghai’s best plus the server was extremely rude to me.“
“The food is amazing, the music was a little annoyingly loud though. There is so much concrete and speakers, this is just my opinion, but it felt a little stressful. Lowering the volume (during the day time) I think would be a more.pleasant experience.“

“A few food trucks, but not as much variety as I had hoped. Some trucks offer the same type of food. We enjoyed the food, even though the fries were undercooked. Greek, Indian, Italian, and Mexican cuisine available, along with a sushi truck.“

“So far I've eaten at 3 out of 6 of the carts here (I'm including the Pour House in the count even though it's a bar).
Rollin' Fresh - Very good sushi with a twist (burrito style!)
Bajala - Excellent tacos, very fresh, with lots of flavor. (Separate review on their google maps entry)
Village Kitchen - so far my favorite Burmese food in the Northwest district and there something like 4 other Burmese restaurants.
I'll get to the rest soon enough.“
“We discovered this cart just down the street from us tonight and tried them for the first time! Everything was AMAZING! We will definitely be back!“

“Never written a review before but gotta share that this was super good. Honestly better than it needed to be and I’m thrilled about. I had the kalbi chicken with Mac. The dish was simple, no frills, but the cook on the chicken was excellent. The flavor was delish. Even the rice was perfect.
Thanks so much.“
“This place is so cool! You're just strolling along, minding your own business when suddenly BAM! Food! It's an entire block of different ethnic food. Mostly Mediterranean, but plenty of other places too. Gyros, shawarma, Mexican, cajun and more, all wrapped around an empty parking lot. Come hungry!“

“The good: there are a good number of trucks, at least 9-10, almost all open. All mouthwatering. Everyone was friendly. The food we had was really fantastic. Would eat here again. The semi cons: while it will be great when done, the construction means less seating and more dirt. It wasn’t a problem and will give the carts access to public water. So it should pay off. Also, it seemed a little dead, even though it was around lunchtime.“

“Genuine Kindness is hard to come by these days, I went with my client because she wanted to get good at another cart in the same location. I had been craving Indian for a while and I was so excited there was Indian cart, the nice gentleman peeped out the window and I had already blurred out my order for him to tell him they was closed. NOTE: I was so oblivious to the sign my hungry self didn’t see it cause the window was still open. I said “oh my bad im sorry thank you.” TELL ME WHY this gentleman was like “oh no I’ll prepare it anyway!! “ I was so embarrassed and i offered my card to pay to the man say NO it’s okay YOU DONT HAVE TO PAY! 😭 I was so shocked. I been craving Indian food for weeks, and I’m here getting free food on the week of my birthday 😭 he’s packing this order up and he gives out two sodas and a free dessert with it 😭 I loveeee the Indian culture, I’m a huge fan , and I never anticipated this much kindness. The food surpassed my expectations and filled my heart. Great service, great food. I hope god blesses his people, his home, his business keeps flourishing. Thank you for all that you do 🙏 thank you for making my birthday week 😊“

“The broth here is rich and flavorful, perfect if you enjoy bold, hearty ramen. We tried the chili crab ramen and the black garlic shoyu, and both were tasty and satisfying. The staff were friendly and welcoming as well. Overall, a solid spot for a comforting bowl of ramen.“

“The guy serving up food at around 11:45-12:30 ish on 12/14/23 was amazing. Total beast mode lol got my food and drink to me quickly and when the coffee exploded on him he didn't even flinch just made another one real quick. I'd say he belted out around 5-6 orders in under 2 minutes. GIVE THIS GUY A RAISE!!!!!!!!
Wheelchair accessibility: It is wheel chair accessible but the CUSTOMERS are extremely rude and inconsiderate. Try to avoid going during peak hours. In my experience people who shop there don't pay attention and they will run you right over with a fully loaded Costco shopping cart and not bat an eye. Wheelchair or not.“

“I make better biryani at home. Do you taste your food? Your Tikka masala has more masala then your biryani. I don't like leaving 1 star because I know you can do better. Order a biryani from Apna bhavan in beaverton and you'll know what a good one tastes like.“
