“The best North Indian we have had in USA. Food was cooked to suit my high spice level tolerance and 0 spice level for my kids. We had the yummiest dal and butter chicken with garlic naan. Food was excellent but service was even better. My 4 year old wanted plain roti which was not even on the menu. But the owner is such a kind soul that he specially got flour kneaded for him and didn't even let us pay for it.“

“Wow! Honestly, best tacos we’ve had in PDX. Great service and fresh ingredients. We had the taco plate, with asada - the asada was crispy and flavorful. The tortillas were handmade! “I can't go anywhere at The Heist food cart pod except for Namo Buddha Himalayan. The #4 Chicken Curry is the best dish ever. Delicious chicken and chickpeas in a fantastic red curry sauce. Healthy and full of flavor but not spicy. I keep trying to try another cart and always end up at Namo Buddha Himalayan. Yum.“

“Cartopia is the epitome of Portland. If you wanna feel that hipster, tattooed, weird Portland vibe... Cartopia has your back! No judgement... I'm the weirdo that is tatted and pierced like the rest of us!

First cart we noticed was beer and BBQ... smelled amazing. We saw a little bit of everything. Fries, pizza, Pad Thai, Gyro, and tacos. It has a decent variety if you're taking a couple friends.

We unfortunately came on an extra cool and rainy day. It's nice if you're snuggled up to a fire pit but the other tables not near fire are pretty chilly and you're probably going to get rained on.

NOTE: There are NO BATHROOMS here. They have the Honey Buckets in the back corner which felt kinda gross with two food carts right next door. How exactly do they empty the Honey Buckets that close to food? Hmmm.

No reason to let that impact the overall 5-star rating... maybe better planning next time?

“This is a great food cart pod area. There is a fantastic variety of different options. The layout is also really great. It has tables and chairs and areas for dogs. What I especially love is that there is a coffee cart which is superb. I highly recommend the Bite on Belmont. It is a great setting.“

“We stopped here while visiting from Chicago. We do not have food cart pods like this at home and I love the concept. This particular pod was among the two best that we visited. We had beer and Indian food and both were above average. I particularly liked the DIY, unpretentious demeanor of the eating space. It had less infrastructure than other pods but for me that was even better, in terms of staying true to the original concept and controlling costs. I just felt at home. Keep it up!“

“Love these types of food courts - everyone gets what they want, no one has to compromise. We tried four different trucks (hot dogs, philly cheese, sushi, and frozen yogurt) - all options were delicious. Lots of beerhall style sitting. Not many non-alcoholic options at the bar - can be an opportunity to explore. Bring your own water bottle, as they charge you for the cup which is super weird.

Another huge opportunity for the owners of this venue is to explore a reusable dish and cutlery program for dine-in patrons. As I ate my food, I could not stop looking at everyone's single use containers that are thrown away after 15 minutes of use. Way too much waste is generated, this day and age there are ways to minimize it.“

“I live very close to this place and I love a few of these food carts specifically the chicken and jo jo truck there special jo jos are amazing and there secret batter is the best crispy and perfect mix of seasonings not to salty and then perfect size cut potato wedges not to much potato that it makes it to much to the point you are not able to even enjoy the battered coating this is perfect am need buttery goodness they are deep-fried but amazing you can get a full order or a half order and then the choices of chicken strips or sandwiches you can choose from are very creative and you will not find anything like this anywhere else don't forget there dipping sauce for the jo jos as well also very great and no other place will have it so you have to go to this one specifically to try them it's the food trucks on Powell and 35th between the dollars store and Chipotle the food carts are right between the two businesses and the chicken and jo jo truck is tricked away in back in the center of all the trucks you can't miss it“

“I really enjoyed this pod! There are 8+ different places to eat and the food here is wonderful. My wife and I personally tried , "flew the coop" and "La Arepa" and both had great service and the food was delicious. The attached brewery had an amazing selection of beers. The only detractor was that there was A Lot of very hoppy beers. That is a personal preference though. The Beer I did have was delicious. It's very family friendly and I enjoyed it.“

“I've been to this food truck park a few times and for some reason I never ate at this particular truck, but today was the day! Now I'm mad that I didn't try it sooner. The chicken was so tender and cooked to perfection along with the veggies. I'll probably go back and try something else tomorrow.“

“Genuine Kindness is hard to come by these days, I went with my client because she wanted to get good at another cart in the same location. I had been craving Indian for a while and I was so excited there was Indian cart, the nice gentleman peeped out the window and I had already blurred out my order for him to tell him they was closed. NOTE: I was so oblivious to the sign my hungry self didn’t see it cause the window was still open. I said “oh my bad im sorry thank you.” TELL ME WHY this gentleman was like “oh no I’ll prepare it anyway!! “ I was so embarrassed and i offered my card to pay to the man say NO it’s okay YOU DONT HAVE TO PAY! 😭 I was so shocked. I been craving Indian food for weeks, and I’m here getting free food on the week of my birthday 😭 he’s packing this order up and he gives out two sodas and a free dessert with it 😭 I loveeee the Indian culture, I’m a huge fan , and I never anticipated this much kindness. The food surpassed my expectations and filled my heart. Great service, great food. I hope god blesses his people, his home, his business keeps flourishing.
