“This place always kills. Came in at noon on a Sunday. Two large gyros and fries. Food was out incredibly fast. Asked for a little more crispy on fries and were perfect. Excellent portions for the money. Got mine spicy and was fantastic. Have had many other gyros around town...these are the best. Had a lovely conversation with the gentleman who took my order. My go-to place for gyros.“

“The food here is top notch and the hot sauce is amazing. The couple running this place were super sweet and the atmosphere is like a cross between your family home and a coffee shop. Feed your mind and curiosity with the reading materials and artwork, delight your taste buds with the food, and soothe your soul with the family-like hospitality. I will definitely be back. If you haven't yet been, you're missing out.“

“First-timers today. We ordered the Big Lamb Gyro, dolmas and french fries, and are very happy to recommend this place. Portions were large and the food was extremely fresh, but the thing that impressed me and raises Omar’s versions above other similar places was his seasoning. Subtle, not overpowering, but distinctive. Dolmas touched with just enough lemon, gyros well-balanced with tzatziki, hot sauce and some other flavors I couldn’t quite identify, subtle flavoring of the lamb. I was prepared for a pretty standard, ho-hum gyro, but this was much more. Worth a return trip.“

“Delicious. Syrian/Lebanese - the flavors were smoother/softer than I’m used to. The pita was soft, closer to a fluffy flour tortilla, and the sandwiches we had that came in a pita were actually wrapped in a trifolded pita and pressed like a panini. The felafel were big and delicious. The baklava was in a orange blossom syrup and was perfect. The service was personable and on point. It’s on an active block of N Williams, so it’s a fun area to walk around before/after. Highly recommended.“

“I came to Queen Mamas Kitchen sometime last week and had very high expectations and to say the least my expectations were succeeded. The Chicken Filet was my favorite but I also fancied the Fish Pompano and the Lemon mint juice. The desserts were astonishing my personal favorite was the Dubai chocolate Milkshake. The food was enough to make me write a review but the service and interior of the restaurant made sure it was gonna be a 5 star… Honestly if I could give a restaurant 10 stars this would be the one. Lastly the service, this restaurant is family owned and our waiter was named Sully and he made us feel like we were part of the family. He was patient, funny, and would give us recommendations if we asked for them. In conclusion Queen Mamas Kitchen is a MUST if you’re in Portland“

“I come here quite often to eat lunch. I like to get the lamb and rice meal or chicken falafel. I am only able to eat half of the food or i am stuffed. They always have treats made by them for sale and i always grab them. The kids love them since they have 0 sugar added and they use dates! Remember to get the sauces added when asked. Spicy, which is really good and not overly spicy.“

“Listen, I came here for a gyro. I stayed because I briefly considered asking if they catered weddings, birthdays, and possibly my funeral.
The gyro was so packed with flavor it should’ve come with a seatbelt. The tzatziki? Cool enough to talk me out of my midlife crisis. The meat? Juicy, seasoned perfection—like it got a pep talk from a Greek grandma before hitting the grill.
The staff were awesome—friendly, fast, and didn’t judge me when I whispered sweet nothings to my pita.
If you’re in Sherwood and not eating here, you’re doing lunch wrong. I’d give this place a Michelin star if I knew how Michelin stars worked.“

“This place is amazing. They have tasty food, that's healthy, and it comes out fast. Cool music and sunny outdoor patio too. The staff is nice and helpful. I got the gluten-free quesadilla and it tastes just like the regular one. So good! I recommend the comfort bowl if its your first time here, the NY sauce is ridiculously yummy.“

“I don't even know how to put into words how amazing the food is here. This is by far the best gyro in Portland – probably in the entire Northwest. It's exploding with flavor, insanely delicious, and the portion size is excellent – they do not skimp. The price is VERY reasonable and the service is excellent and very friendly as well. The recent revamp into Midtown Beer Garden also turned this into a wonderful, cozy place to enjoy your food. Cannot recommend more highly.“
“I came here with my friend last night and it was bomb. I had the chicken shawarma and it was heavenly, and a huge amount of food. Certainly get what you pay for. I definitely recommend this place and plan on going back to try the Portland burrito and some of the appetizers!“

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Gyro Bistro, located in SE Portland's new WonderLove, featuring a three-story bar and food cart pod, is a true gem! From the moment you arrive, the welcoming atmosphere and friendly food cart staff set the tone for a fantastic dining experience.
The gyros are absolutely phenomenal, but don't miss out on the baba ghanoush and grape leaves – they are simply to die for! The baba ghanoush is creamy and flavorful, while the grape leaves are perfectly seasoned and tender.
The food is fresh, delicious, and generously portioned. With reasonable prices and top-notch service, Gyro Bistro is a must-visit.
Highly recommended for anyone strolling through SE Portland down the road from OMSI!“
