“Stopped by on a whim to make sure I tried some Oregon wines while I was visiting Portland. I had a wonderful time and tried some delicious wines. Met the owners who were as nice as could be. I ordered a flight of three wines and also ordered the olives. the wines were very good, and the olives were so good I had to ask what kinds they were. Seems like a great place to enjoy some wine and food. I wish I could've stayed longer and gone back another time. They also have a bottle shop attached so if you find one you really like you can take it home with you.“

Observed that most of staff looked unenthusiastic and very few smiling—including the manager who was dressed like a lumberjack. (A bit weird for what is being touted as a “French restaurant.”). “Saw an ad on Instagram about this spot and boy am I so glad I saw it! This place is so beautifully decorated and immediately sets a fun, polished, welcomIng vibe. I'm a big fan of flights so was very happpy to see that at the forefront of this menu. We went for the bubbles flight - everything was delicious and I had never had a sparkling red! For the food we tried the fondue (delish), deviled eggs, and tuna tartare (definitely the star). Service was amazing as well of course can't wait to come back and also can't believe I had never explored this area before!“

“Stopped by Bar Diane on a Sunday and absolutely loved it. We had the $2 oyster special, which were fresh and delicious, along with some tinned fish that paired perfectly with our sparkling wine. Sundays are a great deal here with 20% off sparkling wines, making it even better. Cozy vibe, great bites, and excellent value — definitely a spot worth checking out.“

“So, I went to this place called Forte Portland just to check it out. I ended up getting a coffee, but it was completely silent in there. Not a single person was around, which was kind of relaxing, I guess. There's a piano there, but no one was playing it. And get this, the person working the counter was practically asleep when I walked up. I'm guessing it's not exactly a popular place during the day. Maybe it turns into a nice bar or something later at night.“

Given that she's owned the business going on thirteen years, I would say that Niche definitely deserves a visit if you have never been. It would be a great place to take out of town guests.Because of our unique circumstances, there are many details I find it difficult to speak towards. “Never judge a book by its cover. This unassuming spot is a true hidden gem. I went for a shared birthday with my girlfriend. We each tried a different 'Fancy Pour' and contemplated the Caviar Service (It's our Birthday), Kaluga roe, creme fraiche, chives, blinis and chips -- did I say It's our Birthday. So had the perfect evening sipping incredible champagne and being decadent because it's our Birthday!

I got the special which was a wonderful scallops dish. The chardonnay they recommended to pair with it was amazing. We love coming here. “Lombardos is on its way to being a neighborhood institution, the owner is incredibly friendly and is tipping his homage to his New Jersey pizza roots. When I went in they were sold out of everything except their bar pie. A light crispy crust with a zesty sauce and perfectly caramelized cheese. They only prep about 40 or so pies a day but the restaurant clearly has room to expand and for their sake I hope the community floods them with business until they are forced to do so. Truly reaching those east coast roots I highly recommend making the trip into St. John’s for this wonderfully done pie where you will find true beauty in its simplicity.“
