“I'll go ahead and say it, Lake Oswego doesn't really have a wide variety of high quality restaurants. We did for a bit with Tasty and the Mercado areas, but since they're all closing after just a year, we're back to square 1. That being said, 5 Spice never disappoints. My only gripe is that sometimes, it can take a long time to get the food, but it's not a huge deal. Portions are just right, the kimchi rice is amazing, the salmon is always perfectly cooked. I took my mom there, my dad, my husband, and my neighbor took me there as well when I first moved to Lake Oswego. Definitely a great choice for good food in the area.“

“It was nice group dinner. Our server was attentive and kept asking if we need anything. They have now ramp for wheelchair users, they remodeled the restaurant from inside and looks very good. The only reason I have 4 not 5 stars is for the parking, hard to find one close to the restaurant.“

We had a very romantic albeit cozy dinner before a movie next door. We were lucky to score a table on a Saturday evening and have the most fun server! The special was super unique, featuring grilled peaches & prosciutto. We omitted the meat for my vegetarian husband, but next time, I’d recommend any vegetarian sub it for something salty to balance the sweetness.“

“Warning! Feral's delicious food may convert you to veganism. My husband and I are not vegan, or even vegetarian, but we have dined at Feral three times in the past couple of months. We used to walk right past, not realizing that plant-based cuisine could truly be as or more flavorful and satisfying than dishes using animal products. I also like that they change up their menu, which will encourage us to keep coming back to see what they are up to. The folks in the kitchen really know what they are doing; I wish they would publish a cookbook! Some outstanding dishes we have tried: focaccia with tomatoes (best we have had) summer squash fettucini, cavatelli with eggplant, little gem salad, cucumber tostada, and a ravioli type dish with a yummy French green sauce. The cocktails and service are also great. I highly recommend Feral to all hungry diners, vegan or not.“

“Street disco has a cool vibe from the minute you walk in! The music, the welcome and the atmosphere were on point!
Our server had such a fun vibrant personality and was extremely knowledgeable! The plates are small so encouraged to share and recommended to order 10-12 plates for the five of us. My favorite plates were the snap pea salad and the carrots with lots of flavor and fun flavor profiles! Our table was extremely satisfied with all of our choices.
My only complaint was the literal two bites of Octopus, if I had realized that I would have ordered something different. The pork belly and meatballs were more of a satisfying portion

“So, I went to this place called Forte Portland just to check it out. I ended up getting a coffee, but it was completely silent in there. Not a single person was around, which was kind of relaxing, I guess. There's a piano there, but no one was playing it. And get this, the person working the counter was practically asleep when I walked up. I'm guessing it's not exactly a popular place during the day. Maybe it turns into a nice bar or something later at night.“

I'm not super knowledgeable on the different types and flavor profiles, and he helped me choose some really nice wines. The overall vibe was very unpretentious and comfortable, and the conversation with Stefan was interesting. “I popped in here for the first time several months ago for lunch and a glass of wine, and ended up having what could arguably be one of the best Italian cold cut sandwiches I’ve had in my life. Seriously, I wake up dreaming about that sandwich sometimes it’s so good. The pepper spread pulls it all together. My partner really enjoys the Cascadia Dip.

“I stopped by this wine tasting room while visiting from out of town and honestly, I didn’t want to leave. The space is so warm and inviting. It immediately felt like the kind of spot I’d be a regular at if I lived nearby. Cozy, charming, and perfect for a laid-back evening or a quiet date night.

The wine selection was fabulous. I tried a few different pours and loved what I tried. And the food was absolutely delicious without trying too hard.

What really made the experience special was the staff. They were so kind and attentive. Friendly in a genuine way, not just polite. It felt like they really wanted me to enjoy myself, and I did.
