“The Camarones Al Cilantro is an absolute must when dining here! The shrimp are cooked perfectly and very tasty. The Alpastor taco is fire...best in town. The Serrano Hot Sauce, it is my new favorite and I would like to buy a bottle for home. It's so flavorful and has just the right kick, it's a nice change from the typical hot sauces at all the other shops in town.“

“Don Gabino's comes highly regarded for good reason. The authentic Mexican fare is ample, delicious and priced right. We've dined here twice and the staff are friendly and helpful. It's an austere, but clean, dining area. The one thing you'll notice is the steady stream of regulars and door dash folks coming and going, indicating Don Gabino's is well known and loved in Bend. We love it, too.“

“Great spot and vibe but really disappointing that I had to ask 3 times (in front of multiple staff) over two days just to get a flickering light bulb replaced. It seems staff is a bit too lackadaisical. They also don’t respond to emails through contact form.“

“We went there for the first time today for breakfast. We were pleasantly surprised at how good it was! Their coffee is delicious and so is their food. I had the chilaquiles and my hubby had the huevos rancheros. The inside was nice but I think it would be more inviting to passerby's if they did something to doll up the outside in front. It is just dirt and weeds and you’d think it was unoccupied. Regardless of that we will be back to try more of their menu items.“

“The food was absolutely amazing. I am super picky when it comes to chicken because so many places serve it fatty or bland, but this was genuinely the best chicken I’ve ever had. It was incredibly tender and packed with flavor. I would come back here just for the chicken alone. I ordered the enchiladas and highly recommend them. The beans and rice were also amazing, especially the rice, which had so much flavor. Overall, 10 out of 10 recommend. I will definitely be back.“

“I'm disappointed in myself for waiting so long to try this place! The restaurant is very clean and well lit and the staff is super friendly. We tried the fish tacos, shrimp tacos and pork street tacos. All were exceptional! The salsa bar is amazing with tasty salsa, crisp pickled carrots and yummy grilled onions with whole jalepeno! And the best part... the price! It's hard to find any food places open past 9pm or affordable anymore, in Bend. I'm happy to say, " We've found our new spot!"“

“The food was pretty decent. The place was overwhelming, not space to move around you end up touching other people elbow. My ears hurt after dinner. It was overcrowd too many people in a small place the capacity of the restaurant was 77. We waited for 25 minutes and then ten minutes after they called us to give a table. I will not come back because the atmosphere was not pleasant.“

“This is our go-to for sit-down Mexican food on the east or west side. They’re super nice people who make great food. Love the chimi, chile relleno, nachos, taco salad, steak picado and more. This place is solid. Especially considering what else is on offer in the PNW.“

“My daughter had Taco Salsa bring food to my home for my bday celebration and it was fantastic! We ordered tacos - chicken, carnitas & carne asada - with rice/beans. VERY reasonably priced! Roxy and her crew came early to set up then brought the food just before guests arrived! There was an abundance of food and all the fixings, so much that several guests were able to take food home! Not to mention Roxy even included plates, napkins, utensils AND to go containers! Roxy - you are so kind, efficient and pure joy to work with! Same with your crew! I already frequent your restaurant - their shrimp plate is especially delicious - and this experience just reinforced why I love your restaurant! Thank you again for a wonderful bday dinner! “We stopped in a couple days ago because of a medical appointment nearby and were pleasantly surprised with the flavors of their tacos. J had the Rockfish and loved them. T had the GF tacos and they were delicious (no reactions)!! We will be back!!“

I got the Chorizo, Perfectly balanced with flavor, that once it hit my tongue, my buds danced like the first time water hit the desert plains! Burrito Sunrise is an absolute must try, if you don’t you’re missing out on an opportunity to really change your life with one of the best breakfast burritos you’ll ever have! “What happened to this place? Been eating here since 2015 and lately it's gone downhill. It seems the El Sanch team is phoning it in, or they just don't care. These days we do a lot of pickup orders rather than eating at the Westside location. For the past year or so the team has been making a lot of mistakes on our orders. For every 10 take out orders I place, I'd say 8 of them will have a mistake. Last time they gave us the wrong kind of tacos (we ordered barbacoa, they gave use chicken). The time before that they left out all the items for my wife, who has some food sensitivities so she can only eat certain items. The time before that they forgot the chips and there was a hair in my food. Tonight, I checked my order before leaving the window out of necessity. Sure enough, they forgot to add an item. So when the girl came over, she seemed annoyed that I was checking the order. And when I pointed out the item they forgot, she went over to the line in a huff and got the missing item. When she brought it back she gave me a dirty look and didn't say anything as she turned and walked away. Like I was the bad guy... In addition the regularly messing up orders, they just removed some of my favorite items off the menu. The barbacoa tostada was my go-to favorite. No more, now it's tostada nada because it's gone. The specials over the past month or two have been lackluster and haven't really changed. All in all, El Sancho has been a Bend icon. You can still feed a family of four for under $50, which is nearly impossible in this day and age. But I hope the ownership team brings it back to its former glory. And although weed is legal in Oregon, maybe start drug testing. I've never seen a restaurant mess up so many orders with such regularity.“
