“I stopped by Max Tacos and tried four tacos — birria queso, asada, lengua, and pastor — and every single one was fantastic. The flavors were rich and authentic, the meat was tender, and the birria queso was especially memorable. You can really tell this is a family-run business — everyone was friendly, welcoming, and proud of what they serve. The sauce was incredible, the kind that ties everything together perfectly.
Highly recommend Max Tacos if you’re looking for fresh, flavorful tacos made with care!“

“The Camarones Al Cilantro is an absolute must when dining here! The shrimp are cooked perfectly and very tasty. The Alpastor taco is fire...best in town. The Serrano Hot Sauce, it is my new favorite and I would like to buy a bottle for home. It's so flavorful and has just the right kick, it's a nice change from the typical hot sauces at all the other shops in town.“

“Kind people serving delicious food for a solid price. I really enjoyed it. Went twice in two days for breakfast because it was convenient and consistent. The salsas are very good, overall just missing the deliciousness that gets a fifth star for me.“

“Great spot and vibe but really disappointing that I had to ask 3 times (in front of multiple staff) over two days just to get a flickering light bulb replaced. It seems staff is a bit too lackadaisical. They also don’t respond to emails through contact form.“

“Best prices I could find in Bend when I was visiting from Washington, and I love their veggie burrito! The other 2 places that Google maps lists in the $1-$10 range aren't really $1-$10, but this one is. I hope this place attracts a lot of customers so they can keep their low prices.“
“The food and service are just as great as the original location.“

“Haven't been here in 10+ years! Delicious food, friendly and quick service! Shoutout to their employee, Katie, who helped me decide on a dish, then brought me some chips and queso for fun! Much love for your intuitiveness! ❤“

“I ordered the bean, beef, and cheese burrito for $9. Unless you're a construction worker, it's easily two meals. Great value in Bend! The gentleman who took my order was super nice too. I appreciated the dedicated parking out front in a busy part of Bend.“

“What happened to this place? Been eating here since 2015 and lately it's gone downhill. It seems the El Sanch team is phoning it in, or they just don't care. These days we do a lot of pickup orders rather than eating at the Westside location. For the past year or so the team has been making a lot of mistakes on our orders. For every 10 take out orders I place, I'd say 8 of them will have a mistake. Last time they gave us the wrong kind of tacos (we ordered barbacoa, they gave use chicken). The time before that they left out all the items for my wife, who has some food sensitivities so she can only eat certain items. The time before that they forgot the chips and there was a hair in my food. Tonight, I checked my order before leaving the window out of necessity. Sure enough, they forgot to add an item. So when the girl came over, she seemed annoyed that I was checking the order. And when I pointed out the item they forgot, she went over to the line in a huff and got the missing item. When she brought it back she gave me a dirty look and didn't say anything as she turned and walked away. Like I was the bad guy... In addition the regularly messing up orders, they just removed some of my favorite items off the menu. The barbacoa tostada was my go-to favorite. No more, now it's tostada nada because it's gone. The specials over the past month or two have been lackluster and haven't really changed. All in all, El Sancho has been a Bend icon. You can still feed a family of four for under $50, which is nearly impossible in this day and age. But I hope the ownership team brings it back to its former glory. And although weed is legal in Oregon, maybe start drug testing. I've never seen a restaurant mess up so many orders with such regularity.“

“I'm disappointed in myself for waiting so long to try this place! The restaurant is very clean and well lit and the staff is super friendly. We tried the fish tacos, shrimp tacos and pork street tacos. All were exceptional! The salsa bar is amazing with tasty salsa, crisp pickled carrots and yummy grilled onions with whole jalepeno! And the best part... the price! It's hard to find any food places open past 9pm or affordable anymore, in Bend. I'm happy to say, " We've found our new spot!"“

“We absolutely love this place — hands down the best Mexican restaurant in Bend. We’ve been here more times than I can count, and every single visit has been solid. The food is always fresh and full of flavor, the drinks are dialed in, and the service never misses.
Pablo and Lin behind the bar are next-level — fast, friendly, and they pour some of the best cocktails in town. Anna crushes it as a waitress, and honestly, every server we’ve had has been just as good. The whole staff is welcoming and actually cares about the experience you have here.
It’s rare to find a place where the food, the atmosphere, and the people all hit this consistently. Our kid’s even ask to go to El Caporal over anywhere else. We keep coming back because it never disappoints. Highly recommend.“

“As a fellow food truck snob, I was completely blown away by our Breakfast burrito today. I got the Chorizo, Perfectly balanced with flavor, that once it hit my tongue, my buds danced like the first time water hit the desert plains! Burrito Sunrise is an absolute must try, if you don’t you’re missing out on an opportunity to really change your life with one of the best breakfast burritos you’ll ever have! Thank you for the wonderful breakfast this morning, my tank is back on Full and ready to rock the day! -Cheers“
