“Food was pretty good. Not your usual Thai fare that is popular in the US. We had Grandpa's Thom Ka soup, a little too sweet for my taste. Sukiyaki was a bit disappointing. It was tasty, but the presentation made me think of leftovers. It was highly recommended by a few folks, and apparently they stay busy, so make a reservation if you decide to go. We are at 445 pm and overheard them telling walk-ins that it would be at least an hour wait.“

“This is one of two places in downtown Bend that treated us like humans. We needed a reprieve and were so relieved to find a sushi restaurant downtown. Immediately upon entering we were greeted and seated. The food was delicious and the cocktails were so much better than we were expecting (superb, really). Our waiter also tended the bar and was warm and attentive.

Sir, if you are reading this, just know you did a tremendous service for us way beyond dining. Our vacation to Bend has been filled with high nerves due to the expressions of racism and snobbery and your kindness and humanity was deeply refreshing. We were exhausted and disappointed and the whole experience lifted our spirits.

“Upon entering the food truck area, we were immediately released by the soothing music playing throughout the nearby seating area. Hubby informed employee of his severe nut allergy and we were happy to learn that the only things that contains nut is their sour cream and peanut butter rub used for their seitan ribz. After looking at the menu for a few minutes, and seeing the list of ingredients for their vegan mac 'n cheeze sauce, I ordered the St. Louis Style Ribz with mac 'n cheeze and a special vegan Cuban sandwich with kettle chips while hubby ordered the classic mac 'n cheeze with tempeh. Upon picking up our food, we were impressed by the presentation of the food, the portion size and the combination of flavors. This vegan food cart is a must visit!“

“By far, The best vegan place in Bend/Redmond. Everything is super fresh as you should expect a raw vegan place to be. The flavors are dialed. Whether you are vegan, vegetarian, or full blown carnivore, you will not miss out on flavor no matter what you choose on the menu. I am sure I've tried all items on the menu, but the wontons are my favorite. Don't forget their hot beverages. The medicinal latte and caramel latte are fantastic! It is a bit pricey, however, raw vegan is an experience itself and the food is made with time, care and maximum flavor with the freshest ingredients. It is well worth it! “We had the most amazing experience here! It’s definitely our new favorite Bend hotspot. First of all, kudos to server Alex for the recommendation, and for going above and beyond his job! Alex was cheerful, engaging, informative, and gave us perfect tips for both drinks and eats. He was so pleasant, has a wonderful smile, and made his feel so special! He even put a birthday candle on our beignet order! Besides Alex’s amazing service, our beer was delicious, the food incredible, and the patio a perfect location for an overall enjoyable evening. Oh my goodness, the hummus was to die for! Perfect with our beer flights. It tops everywhere else we ate over our weekend visit, and will be the first place we go on our next trip to Bend. They are doing such an over the top job with all that has come their way this year. They are exceeding all the Covid restrictions. Truly a gem. Very reasonably priced ham and cheese croissant with a fruity herby jam. Mocha with a house made chocolate mix, not too sweet just how I like it.

And the atmosphere is somehow utterly charming and relaxed while in the middle of a bunch of busy streets. The outdoor seating area is ample with dappled shade, and adjacent to the coolest group of independent artist workshops, galleries, and other spots I’ll have to explore later.“

“We usually only go out for supper once a week, but when I saw Salute Restaurant & Bar Bend post about their gnocchi special tonight, I looked at Jim and said, “We're eating out two nights in a row!” I kicked things off with an Italian Margarita while Jim ordered a pilsner from pFriem. The amaretto float in the margarita gave it this amazing aftertaste that made me go, “Wait, what was that?”—in the best way. We both chose the “Local Special,” which includes a three-course meal for just $39. Such a great deal! For starters, Jim had the Caesar salad, and I went with the zuppa di cipolle. The onion soup was rich and flavorful, and I especially loved the cheese toasts on top—just like we do at home. Jim's Caesar was creamy, well-balanced, and hit all the right notes. For our mains, Jim ordered the scampi, which he said had a bright citrus flavor and just the right touch of garlic. I, of course, had the gnocchi special. Let me tell you, those gnocchi were light, airy, and practically pillowy. The pomodoro sauce was simple and perfect, letting the gnocchi shine. Dessert was a win, too. I had the strawberry cannoli—stuffed with ricotta and mascarpone, topped with fresh strawberries and toasted pistachios. It was crispy, lightly sweet, and a perfect finish to the meal. Jim was too full to enjoy his tiramisu at the table, but he took it to go and it looked beautiful—he'll be digging in later tonight. Service was excellent! I'm kicking myself for forgetting our server's name, but she was warm, attentive, and made sure we were having a great time. Her friendly chit-chat added that extra special touch to an already wonderful evening. Fingers crossed that gnocchi becomes a regular on the menu—hint hint! We'll definitely keep the Local Special in mind next time we're deciding where to eat.“

And today, I plan to stop by to have breakfast but there are no parking spots available cause there are some customers who don't know how to park properly. ☹️ So that's my concern. Hopefully share some parking spots with Newport Market (just a suggestion). So my advise to future customers, go to Nancy P's a few minutes before they open to get a good parking spot. ☺️“

“Fun little spot. Love all of the food truck options. Fried fish tacos from the green bus were fire! The fries were also so dang good, I literally took my leftover fries with me they were that good, and a huge portion. Poke and bbq pork buns from the sushi truck were fantastic.

“I've been eating Taj since they first opened in downtown Bend. Honestly I used to eat there at least once a week for years. They've since moved from downtown, I'm sure it's because Bend has become (🙄😳🤯) hard to afford. Regardless the Taj Palace hasn't skipped a beat they are still the same amazing food I used to eat all the time!! Such epic food and the most friendly place and people ever! If you're looking for a recommendation for what/where to eat, this is it. Go to Taj Palace and eat their truly delicious food!! My favorite is the lunch buffet!! “As usual, the pizza was good, just not great and I believe it was a result of the delivery service. Supposedly I would receive a text message when the pie was picked up for delivery: I didn't.

When the pie arrived, it wasn't cold but it wasn't hot. Plus, when we sat down to eat, there were no pepper flakes or parmessan enclosed.

This is the second time I've had poor service from Door Dash and I'll make sure I don't have delivery from Door Dash again.“

“While visiting Bend for my birthday, I found this bakery to order a cake from. I wasn’t familiar with the area so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I could not have been more pleased with my cake! It looked fantastic and tasted delicious! It was also much larger than I had expected and was more than enough to feed everyone! They were responsive over email when ordering as well. I was extremely happy with the entire experience!“

Parking: There's a small parking lot attached to the building but it's stressful and can be hard to park in and get out of. I would honestly park in the streets.“

GPS brought us to the parking lot outside a paddle board place but you can walk through the factory truck entrance. Lots of Pearl Jam memorabilia displayed-that was cool too.“

“Where do I start? This place is rooted in sustainability from top to bottom. From being able to buy a plethora of household supplies in bulk to drinking organic tea, everything here is a better alternative for the planet, which I love to see in Bend. On top of having a nice peaceful and stylish ambiance, the quality of everything we had was spectacular. The vegan food truck in the back, A Broken Angel was to die for. I got the Mt. Bachelor hash, and it was probably the best breakfast hash I’ve ever had. The wild mushroom gravy was insanely good, and I’m not even crazy about mushrooms. If they had meat options, I probably would have ordered it with meat, but after trying it 100% didn’t need any meat and was likely much better without it. I am not a vegan, but can definitely get on board with homemade tortillas and perfectly seasoned food. I also got the Nepali Chai, which at only $1 is such a steal and was exactly like the chai I had every day in Northern India. We also had the Cardi B, which was perfect as well. I don’t think there is a thing in here that is bad tasting, bad for the planet, or bad for you. Super friendly service as well. Instantly one of my favorite businesses in town. Will be back soon.“

“I have been a fan of Ida’s since the original shop on Galveston opened. I always buy the cupcakes (minis and large gourmet) for holidays (decorated accordingly). They are always a hit with family/friends. Favorite flavor cake? Chocolate, of course! Especially delish with the chocolate chips in the batter.“
