Hubby informed employee of his severe nut allergy and we were happy to learn that the only things that contains nut is their sour cream and peanut butter rub used for their seitan ribz. After looking at the menu for a few minutes, and seeing the list of ingredients for their vegan mac 'n cheeze sauce, I ordered the St. Louis Style Ribz with mac 'n cheeze and a special vegan Cuban sandwich with kettle chips while hubby ordered the classic mac 'n cheeze with tempeh. Upon picking up our food, we were impressed by the presentation of the food, the portion size and the combination of flavors. This vegan food cart is a must visit!“

“They are the best!!! Perfectly creative drinks, we had the cucumber & wine freeze! I had the chicken bowl and my husband had the falafel bowl. Both were better than anything I can make at home. They are doing such an over the top job with all that has come their way this year. They are exceeding all the Covid restrictions. Truly a gem. Very reasonably priced ham and cheese croissant with a fruity herby jam. Mocha with a house made chocolate mix, not too sweet just how I like it.

And the atmosphere is somehow utterly charming and relaxed while in the middle of a bunch of busy streets. The outdoor seating area is ample with dappled shade, and adjacent to the coolest group of independent artist workshops, galleries, and other spots I’ll have to explore later.“

“We usually only go out for supper once a week, but when I saw Salute Restaurant & Bar Bend post about their gnocchi special tonight, I looked at Jim and said, “We're eating out two nights in a row!” I kicked things off with an Italian Margarita while Jim ordered a pilsner from pFriem. The amaretto float in the margarita gave it this amazing aftertaste that made me go, “Wait, what was that?”—in the best way. We both chose the “Local Special,” which includes a three-course meal for just $39. Such a great deal! For starters, Jim had the Caesar salad, and I went with the zuppa di cipolle. The onion soup was rich and flavorful, and I especially loved the cheese toasts on top—just like we do at home. Jim's Caesar was creamy, well-balanced, and hit all the right notes. For our mains, Jim ordered the scampi, which he said had a bright citrus flavor and just the right touch of garlic. I, of course, had the gnocchi special. Let me tell you, those gnocchi were light, airy, and practically pillowy. The pomodoro sauce was simple and perfect, letting the gnocchi shine. Dessert was a win, too. I had the strawberry cannoli—stuffed with ricotta and mascarpone, topped with fresh strawberries and toasted pistachios. It was crispy, lightly sweet, and a perfect finish to the meal. Jim was too full to enjoy his tiramisu at the table, but he took it to go and it looked beautiful—he'll be digging in later tonight. Service was excellent! I'm kicking myself for forgetting our server's name, but she was warm, attentive, and made sure we were having a great time. Her friendly chit-chat added that extra special touch to an already wonderful evening. Fingers crossed that gnocchi becomes a regular on the menu—hint hint! We'll definitely keep the Local Special in mind next time we're deciding where to eat.“

“Love the vibe, good tasting pastries and friendly staff/crew! The only thing I dislike is the parking spots. sometimes I drove here to have breakfast but the store was closed even though the time says it's supposed to be open and there are a lot of parking spots available. And today, I plan to stop by to have breakfast but there are no parking spots available cause there are some customers who don't know how to park properly. ☹️ So that's my concern. Hopefully share some parking spots with Newport Market (just a suggestion). So my advise to future customers, go to Nancy P's a few minutes before they open to get a good parking spot. ☺️“

“While visiting Bend for my birthday, I found this bakery to order a cake from. I wasn’t familiar with the area so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I could not have been more pleased with my cake! It looked fantastic and tasted delicious! It was also much larger than I had expected and was more than enough to feed everyone! They were responsive over email when ordering as well. “Croutons is like a better Panera, specializing in soups, salads, and sandwiches. They have one of the best grilled cheeses I've ever tried and delicious ciabatta bread. It's a great place for a quick and healthy lunch. Service is efficient and the restaurant is clean and casual, a good place to eat.

Parking: There's a small parking lot attached to the building but it's stressful and can be hard to park in and get out of. I would honestly park in the streets.“

Which has Tomatoes, Red Peppers, Spinach, Pesto, Mozzarella!
The flavors mirrored each other and was an amazingly thin yet perfected crust as well.

“Where do I start? This place is rooted in sustainability from top to bottom. From being able to buy a plethora of household supplies in bulk to drinking organic tea, everything here is a better alternative for the planet, which I love to see in Bend. On top of having a nice peaceful and stylish ambiance, the quality of everything we had was spectacular. The vegan food truck in the back, A Broken Angel was to die for. I got the Mt. Bachelor hash, and it was probably the best breakfast hash I’ve ever had. The wild mushroom gravy was insanely good, and I’m not even crazy about mushrooms. If they had meat options, I probably would have ordered it with meat, but after trying it 100% didn’t need any meat and was likely much better without it. I am not a vegan, but can definitely get on board with homemade tortillas and perfectly seasoned food. I also got the Nepali Chai, which at only $1 is such a steal and was exactly like the chai I had every day in Northern India. We also had the Cardi B, which was perfect as well. I don’t think there is a thing in here that is bad tasting, bad for the planet, or bad for you. Super friendly service as well. Instantly one of my favorite businesses in town. Will be back soon.“

“One of the best pizza places in Bend! Their Combos #1 & #2 are the best. My family also likes the Chicken Alfredo pizza too, which is tasty if you don't mind broccoli on your pizza. Olde Towne has one of the last salad bars in Bend, although it's nothing special, it's nice to have that option when most other pizza joints have eliminated their's altogether.“

“Some of the most authentic German food and beer I have had in the States. The Schweinshaxe can feed 3 people and its delicious. Food: 5/5. Ambiance not so much..Where's the German music? A German bier garten environment with American pop music?? C'mon, German music would be more appropriate... Always played in all other German restaurants I've been to in the US...“
