“I'm disappointed in myself for waiting so long to try this place! The restaurant is very clean and well lit and the staff is super friendly. We tried the fish tacos, shrimp tacos and pork street tacos. All were exceptional! The salsa bar is amazing with tasty salsa, crisp pickled carrots and yummy grilled onions with whole jalepeno! And the best part... the price! It's hard to find any food places open past 9pm or affordable anymore, in Bend. I'm happy to say, " We've found our new spot!"“

We then proceeded to order food in which I ordered the Plato Aguachile and she ordered a Sope with Carne Asada and some mexican corn. Everything tasted fresh and amazing.“

“Have been here a few times for their lunch/dinner selections - spoiler, their Carne Asada is AMAZING! .. but the fact that we hadn't wrote a review before for Monarca is on us sonwe decided to write one on their breakfast selections!

We got one of their bacon burrito and a chorizo burrito, and got extra potatoes in each one which was an extra $.50 per burrito. These are their smalls - for $5.50 ($6 with potatoes) it was the size of a large burrito everywhere else which was crazy to us! The chorizo was well seasoned and tasty but the bacon burrito was hands down one of the best breakfast burritos we've ever had. The bacon was firm but soft and mashed with the entire burrito - it just sang in your mouth.

Hands down would recommend Monarca for a quick bite - breakfast OR lunch! Give them a try, they'll change the way you think about quick Mexican food!

“We stopped here on a road trip through Salem in April and again this past week. Delicious food and drinks and great salsa options as well. Very reasonable prices and fast and friendly service. I’m sure we’ll go there again next time we’re in Salem!

“Mexican Scratch kitchen by a real Grandma! Very Very good a very reasonably priced. The tamales we moist, firm and very tasty 😋. I had one chicken and one beef. Both tasted great and they were both seasoned differently. The stake tacos were an A+.
And the owner, who runs everything by her self, is a sweet as can be. Food cart cuisine at it's best.“

When I noticed they had a drive-through, I stopped by this small little Mexican restaurant
But then when I saw their right next to a river and have picnic tables right next to it, I decided to go in and order and go sit by the ‘river’. Very happy i stopped ?? excellent service ss well

“This was the best menudo I've eaten. Ive eaten a lot all around Arizona. This menudo was loaded with meat was very tender. I had tacos and the meat was beef tongue. Very very delicious.

They are next to a wedding store and under some gargantuan pine trees. Main draw back: no toilet, only a porta-potty under the pine trees.“

“We ate at La Margarita Restaurant and Grill for the first time recently. We have tried three other Mexican restaurants in Salem and, while the food was good at most of them, we thought their prices were very high. We were pleasantly surprised to find the menu at La Margarita Restaurant and Grill to be surprisingly less expensive than any of the other Mexican restaurants we have tried, and the food was excellent. We had the Enchiladas Carnitas ($15.00) and the Gerry Lewin's Combination ($16.00). They were both very good, served hot with rice and refried pinto beans. They also offer black beans as an option. We also each had a 16oz house margaritas ($10.50 each) which was pretty good (having lived in Mexico, we are pretty picky about margaritas). The total bill was $52.00 before the tip). We went on a Friday night and arrived at about 5:45pm (they open at 5). The restaurant was already on a wait list. We were quickly greeted and told there would be a wait of approximately 15 - 20 minutes for a table. We were seated in less than 10 minutes. The restaurant is comfortable and not overly decorated like many Mexican restaurants tend to be. The only improvement would be a larger area to wait for your table. The parking lot adjacent to the restaurant was full and we didn't want to pay for on-street parking, so we drove two blocks to the Liberty Square Parkade and parked. I highly recommend trying La Margarita Restaurant and Grill.“

Very affordable. They were huge, and excellent quality. Did I happen to say huge? Cheese, potatoes, eggs, your choice of breakfast meats and cooked to perfection. “I ate here yesterday and the food was amazing!!! We got carne asada tortas (me and my fiancé) and half of it was the size of other places tortas. So they are huge! The meat and everything on it had such amazing flavor. I told my fiancé it’s funny that you think you’re eating good food at other places till you actually have good food and realize the rest was not as good as what you thought. That’s how good it is! However the lady mostly gets side tracked visiting in back or on phone and forgets her customers have time restrictions to respect. You can place an order get there and it’s not even Taft or started.
