“We were looking for late night ears after a concert on a weekday. They were open until midnight, that was all we needed to know. We ordered chicken fried rice, cucumber salad, corn, shrimp skewers, pork belly skewers and the bacon and enoki mushroom skewers. The spice blend on the table (not the spicy one) is MAGIC! It was delicious in everything! We loved the flavors of everything. The skewers had the perfect amount of char without tasting burned. The fried rice was so fresh, some of the best I've had. The cucumber salad was perfectly seasoned and tasted amazing with a bite of that pork belly. I will definitely return for another meal, there are so many more things I want to try.“

“This place is so underrated!! Their Galbi (beef short-ribs) was DELICIOUS. I didn't have any expectation to be honest. I was hungry and craving Galbi and happened to be around that area. “The food seems more authentic than most. Although most dishes are spicy, their regular level is slice is very tolerable. Nice use of Sichuan peppercorns--everything warms the mouth without setting it on fire. I've had their mapo tofu, kung pao chicken, and beef with green onions. All very good. “Now listen, ignore those last couple negative reviews. I have been a technician working out here in Gresham for a long time and I usually stop in this Joy Teriyaki for a bite whenever I am on a job nearby. I dont normally get involved in these online things but I saw some reviews that just do not make any sense.

I see a couple peeps talking about boycotting this place and saying they do not respect law enforcement. I think you folks have the wrong location entirely. There are several Joy Teriyakis around and they are all franchises (different owners). Even the top photo on this page posted by a customer is a completely different location!
Just last month I was in here and saw the cashier and our folks in red and blue having a perfectly normal and respectfull interaction. No issues at all. Plus there has been a army recruiting office just a couple doors down for over a decade now and I never see any of those guys complaining here!
It is a real shame to see a local business get a bad reputation just because someone likely clicked the wrong spot on there map. You folks posting that hate clearly ment to put it on a different shop.

“Joy Teriyaki is bomb dot com! It’s always cooked fresh and full of flavor. Portion sizes are always huge for the Chicken Yakisoba. Haven’t had any issues. Nobody in there around 11:30am for pick up. Plenty of parking outside. Tables are always clean and wiped down. Family loves the food too!“

“The bourbon chicken is the best chicken you will ever have. The Portion sizes are huge for a lower price. Me and my bf can eat one order of noodles and chicken together and be very full. There is never a long line and service is good. I’ve seen only bad reviews on the shrimp so be warned“

“My girlfriend introduced me to Thien Hong over 25 years ago. I was hesitant to order the squid and ordered the shrimp instead. The shrimp were good the squid - fantastic. Still try to stop by there every time we head towards the airport. GREAT food. Family run restaurant.“
