“We would like to say a massive thank you to Kierre and the Blank Slate team for being so accommodating, hospitable, and helpful. They made sure my fiancée Roxanne’s surprise engagement celebration was extra special and absolutely flawless!
The bar itself is stunning, trendy, cosy, and intimate with a wonderful, homely warmth. The food selection was incredible; the oysters, Tillamook Mac & cheese and truffle popcorn were a huge hit with everyone. The choice of cocktails was also phenomenal, really unique and carefully crafted to perfection.
We cannot recommend this place highly enough, whether it’s for a romantic date, a get-together with family and friends, or a large group celebrating a special milestone. Blank Slate truly has something for everyone and every occasion.
Blank Slate will always have a special place in our hearts, and every time we visit Portland, we’ll always make sure to pay a visit. It was an absolute pleasure planning and celebrating our special day with you. Until next time, cheers!

“We love this place. The staff is amazing, even if you are new to wine but you have an idea of what you would like to taste, from something sweet, bubbly or heavy and dry. They know what to recommend and they are spot on. Jazz nights are amazing. This place is small and cozy and welcoming.“

“As soon as we arrived we were warmly greeted and quickly seated. The attentive service throughout the evening exceeded our expectations and was better than many high end restaurants. Plus the food was delicious! We were a group of five and everyone enjoyed their meal and the experience. We’ll definitely be back!“

“They have two nice Diamond pool tables, all on free play. The players are all skilled, and the food is delicious and affordable. The bartender takes great care of the customers. We spent many hours there before our flight. It’s also very close to the airport“

“We were visiting from Colorado and saw the reviews are good and they were right! Awesome atmosphere. Laid back western decorations. Had games and lounge areas. Beautiful wood bar. CLEAN bathroom and the food was great. Tiny menu but quality. Definitely a cool hangout spot. It's tucked away in a weird corner parking lot but don't be fooled. They were not very busy on a Friday night which was surprising. I don't think many people know about this place so check it out and bring them some business. You can tell they poured their heart and soul into this place. Don't let their effort go to waste. They deserve a visit.“

We stopped in on a whim, and we were blown away by how clean, chill and inviting this place is. The owner was the one working and we spent a good amount of time chatting and getting to know the history of the place. He was very friendly.
The beers were ice cold and my vodka soda was poured well. We didn't eat any of the food, but were excited by the idea of ordering the freshly-made deli sandwiches in the future.
The bathrooms were impeccable. Literally one of the cleanest I've ever seen in a bar.
Video poker had a great selection and there was some really fun pinball machines as well.
If you haven't visited here, I highly recommend!“

“Love the friendly staff and amazing food! East Glisan is at the top of the list every time we visit Portland! Here's what we ordered this time: Pepperoni Detroit style Puttanesca in the classic crust Tavern style with sausage, peppers, and half with olives Caesar kale salad Breadsticks Mushroom pizza on classic with arugula Snozzberry daiquiri Everything was delicious! Don't ever skip the salad and breadsticks... sooo good!!!“

“My partner and I come here sometimes late at night and play a game or 2 of pool!! The bartender is always nice and always gotten great service, not to mention the customers (regulars) are always fun to be around! We usually take food home and it’s always been great!“
“This place is super fun if you’re just trying to chill and gamble. It stays open longer than most places. The other night it was like 2 AM and there were a lot of ppl still there, I finally had my turn at a machine and it immediately paid me out around$1000. Service is also excellent I haven’t tried the food though.“
