“Crows Nest Deli & Lounge is a great place to go at the end of a long day or for any day really. The atmosphere is great with a great jukebox, a large flat screen TV (cable), full lottery (including 3 Video Poker machines), full bar and a great and friendly owner. They also have live music on the last Friday of every month, which really packs the lounge, with outside covered seating and a pool table to boot. The food and service are both exceptional. I highly recommend visiting the Crows Nest Deli & Lounge.“

I did find the food to be a bit pricey for the quality however. The salsa wasn't really my style but the Tacos Tijauna were tasty. This place is located inside Swan Dive and did not have a sign outside (as they moved recently to the kitchen inside).“

“Tomorrow's Verse is one of our favorite Portland establishments. The beer selection is top notch, the space is open and inviting, and the staff is always welcoming. They offer savory hand pies and permit outside food too--there is a wealth of excellent food options all along NE Fremont. Additionally, Tomorrow's Verse has a patio area--it became our living room during the height of the pandemic. If you're into live music, Tomorrow's Verse frequently hosts bands and streaming concerts. I cannot recommend Tomorrow's Verse enough.“

“This was on my tiki bar fanatic brother-in-law's list for his first time in Portland, and it did not disappoint! We got there right before it opened on a Friday, and it was a full house within the first half hour of being open, so I definitely recommend going early. I got two gin drinks--the Singapore sling and the moonlighter. Loved both although the Singapore sling was my favorite. My sister got the blue Hawaiian and the hurricane. My brother-in-law got the mai tai, the doctor funk, and the drink that came with the blue tiki mug. For food, we got two orders of the Hawaiian bread (had to get another order it was so good!) and the edamame. This was such a fun experience! A very welcome tropical escape from rainy Portland.“

We had a tofu "chicken" sandwich and a veggie corn dog; both were so tasty I wished I was hungry enough to order more. The prices for them were also very acceptable. My only note would be that it fills to standing room sometimes in the evenings so I recommend coming in earlier if you want to be able to get a table or a space at the bar.Vegetarian options: They do have some vegetarian options and they're quite good! They have a chicken sandwich with a free tofu substitution, a Field Roast veggie corn dog, a fancy grilled cheese, and a shrimp and grits with a squash substitution.“

“Terrific experience! My boyfriend has been here twice and couldn't wait to bring me. We live in the neighborhood and couldn't believe we hadn't found this place sooner. We were impressed by the presentation of our drinks, appetizers, and entrees. We also enjoyed the best crab ragoons we've ever had (ordered 2 more to-go). Everything about the restaurant was clearly well thought-out. From the dining area to the bar to the bathroom, it is well-designed and extremely clean. The guacumole is chucky and plentiful both on the side or with their tasty nachos. The Mexican fried rice is a combination Spanish rice and Asian fried rice, very different and good. The burrito takes 2 hands to hold, it is big, also flavorful. I highly recommend eating here, I do at least once a week. The owners are also really nice people!“

“Went here on a Tuesday night and I'm super glad because it is fairly small. Thankfully not a lot of people came out at happy hour time for cocktails so there were only four other sets of folks in there with us. The noise level was perfect for me who is struggling with some minor hearing loss due to my 40 years of living. I like very simple drinks so I ordered an Old Fashioned. It was delicious. And they use Old Forester as their "well bourbon." I love Old Forester. Our server/bartender (doing both jobs) was very nice. He was patient with us. He also wanted to make sure I knew that the Brie was covered in a puff pastry since I said I needed cucumbers instead of bread. I have a gluten and dairy intolerance so there's not a ton of the menu I can eat. That's fine. I went for the booze. All in all it was a good experience. It's definitely not a place I would go on a Friday night. But I will definitely go back during the week. (I don't like bumping elbows with strangers. I'm too old for that crap.) I say if you like premium cocktails, you should totally try it.“

“I've stopped by many times over the years to leave concert posters and postcards, but last night was the first time I had a meal there. The pork shoulder and fried brussels sprouts in hoisin sauce over noodles, side salad with blue cheese dressing, and a pint of doppelbock. It was absolutely delicious, a perfect end to a long day running around all over. Comfortable seating, friendly folks, books all around you, low key live music. They let us know they'd just tuned the piano, but the solo act started in before I had a chance to try out a little low key Brahms. :-) Maybe next time.“

“Fuego Underground is indeed "Fire!" I've been to dozens of Speakeasy establishments in New York, Las Vegas, and even in Central America. Fuego Underground has easily become a top 5 favorite experience for me!It isn't secreted behind an unmarked door or hidden behind a business front, but it has an authentic feel of a Speakeasy from the 20s and 30s. The servers are dressed as flappers, and the interior of the Underground beneath De Fuego bar attached to the Monarch hotel in Clackamas is opulent yet tasteful and reminiscent of the era. There is live piano music at opening, and smooth jazz trios and featured artists later in the evening.The service is on point. Everyone embraces the spirit of the experience being created within the Fuego Underground. The cocktails are heavily weighted toward the whiskey and bourbon drinking crowd, yet all drinks are given the prohibition era spin in presentation. The entrees are predominantly various cuts of beef with some exceptions, and they are of equal quality to any high-end steak house in Portland. The sides are varied and better than most compared to, say, El Goucho or Ringside. I had a Gâteau au Chocolat for desert that was delicious! (even though I had to take it home and eat it 2 hours later for being so full!)Overall, it was an amazing experience! If you love a good Speakeasy, you HAVE to try Fuego Underground. If you just like great steaks and craft cocktails, this is a hidden gem with easy parking, but reservations are recommended. This place is popular and for very good reason.“
