“We went on a Tuesday evening. Absolutely great vibes. Easy parking (always a plus). It’s a unique spot. I’ve lived here my whole life and honestly nothing was worth stopping in until now. The drinks were DELISH. The staff were fun to talk to and kept the vibe up. We will be coming back and I recommend everyone check it out. This will probably be my new go to spot.“

“Great dive bar with way above par food. I found them by a search in maps because there isn't much where I'm working at and I was hooked from the first burger. I was treated like a regular from the moment I walked in and every time since. It has the ambiance of a rustic McMinimans with the feel of a hometown corner bar. It is tucked away on a dead end street 30 seconds off I-5 so there is no excuse not to check them out even if you are just passing through. Trust me it's worth the stop. Thank you to the staff for your wonderful service and the hometown atmosphere that is getting harder to find, it doesn't go unnoticed!“

Kept going for the bartender, and the BLT with soda bread. If you love whiskey and bourbon, BLT, and good company.... this is the place to be. The food is amazingly priced, but I always spend extra for the whiskey because this place is worth it.“

“One of the oldest bars in the entire area that's still going strong! Hell my Dad and my grandfather even when he was young was a regular here. Use to be rather a small bar but they bought the other side and the place is looking amazing with now 3 times the space if not more with just as expanded back area! I don't go as often as I use to but I highly recommend this place any day of the week to anyone old or new to the area. Located downtown by campus on 13th and Patterson. Awesome staff, great atmosphere, good fun times even with karaoke, and all the free popcorn and peanuts you can eat to soak up those drinks lol. Keep up the great work Max's!“

“These people were amazing. They welcomed me in as if I were family, the cook was on point and had my food in front of me 5 minutes after I walked through the door. The owner is a very beautiful, friendly and smart entrepreneur who obviously has been doing the food and beverage scene foe years. Nice pool tables, beautiful outside seating area... my chicken was absolutely flawless, good portions, good good good. Highly recommend these wonderful people!! 4 thumbs up!“

“I frequent this place mostly on Thursdays and Sundays for karaoke. (8 PM - close) They usually run until midnight, but will go later if they have a good crowd. For food I recommend any of their pizzas or calzones. And the Mac n cheese is outta this world. Drinks are pretty much at standard bar prices. Same with food. Roughly $18-$25 per person.

Kid-friendliness: Happy Hours is a bar, and hence, no minors allowed. However, it's attached to Countyside Restaurant, which has a wonderful family atmosphere.“
