“I came into the Jackalope Lounge tonight after hearing they're the latest serving place in the immediate area.

I will say I came in with an open mind of dive food, but boy was I wrong. The bartender pointed me in the direction of the Sante Fe burger with potato salad, assuring me it was on point.

My goodness my expectations were blown out of the water, the bread, the cook on the burger, the sauce, that recipe for the potato salad, and the icing on top...... the presentation of it all.

The team this night were absolutely killer, and I will be back as a regular and I will be recommending this place to everyone I know looking for the best food/drink in the area.

“This is the second time I’ve been to Acorn Cafe. It was equally as delicious today. Brought my daughter and we shared the biscuits & gravy and waffles. So much food and extremely delicious. We also ordered the lavender lemon soda and Hawaiian Haze mocktail and they were super tasty and refreshing. Acorn has a lovely ambiance and the service was friendly. They don’t accept tips for themselves but pay it forward instead to folks less fortunate. Well worth supporting! Looking forward to going back and trying everything.“

“Best bagel spot west of the east coast! Always fresh, always on point. One of my favorite things about their bagels is the amount of toppings on them, especially the everything bagels! “Drop Bear has become our neighborhood comfort hangout! Their indoor area is so cosy, but with ample seating so we never have to worry about finding a spot to eat. They have a nice outdoor area as well with heaters. They have great food and drinks and nice staff. They have an extensive vegan and gluten free menu for those with specific dietary needs, but also tasty food options for meat eaters and the like. You also have the option of ordering from the Thai food cart outside if you are in the mood for Thai food (which I often am). They have bingo and trivia nights and GIANT projector screens for events too if you want a movie night for a private party. If you haven't been there yet, I recommend you check it out. If you went when they first opened, but haven't been back recently, give it another go!“

“Oh my goodness. So happy we stopped here, the quality and cost per plate was so worth it. Loved that I actually got a runny nose from the hot wing, usually I don't. Worth the purchases! My husband said they made the best garlic parm wings he's ever had!“

“We got lucky and had ColdFire beer and Paper Plate BBQ for lunch in Eugene. I got a flight of beers to try: one hazy IPA, black IPA, red ale, and Japanese brewery collaboration lager. All the beers had excellent flavor balances and distinct profiles: the hazy IPA was dank and tropical, dark IPA was roasty with the IPA end notes bite. The red ale had a sweet, brown sugar-chocolate malt and strong hops flavor, and the Japanese lager was crisp, clean, and lightly fruity.

In other words, you can go here for a good IPA. If you like any other beers, you're getting good flavor profiles and not just weak versons of IPAs (unlike a LOT of other breweries). Highly recommended for a good beer with some great BBQ from Paper Plate food truck.“

“This is my new favorite restaurant! I have a dairy allergy and almost cried when I realized that I could actually order biscuits and gravy, french toast, and even nachos off of their regular menu. If you have a special dietary need, tell them and the staff is so understanding. They have amazing vegan pastries. The vegan chocolate croissants are to die for! I live two hours away, but will return to Eugene again and again to try everything on their menu.“

This makes me a little picky about strange things like, employee retention, a love and involvement from owners, a mutual respect among employees, excellence in service, attention to details. “Oh my god... the poutine!!! My first time.. and yes, a die and go to heaven moment. Fries smothered in gravy with cheese curds! We just ate at Falling Sky Brewing I had the most luscious cubano! With crispy and juicy shredded pork, ham, cheese and pickles squished to deliciousness. And the perfect amout of mustard... the mustard is what makes it for me! With a side kale ceasar, a perfect pairing. Hubby had the Ruben, with house made pastrami and saurkrawt. Not too sour, on a marbled rye. He loved it. Son had a grilled chicken club with parmesagn garlic fries. Another win! We all drank their homemade ginger ale and root beer.“

“Stay Woke is hands down my favorite coffee in town. Everything I've tried has been delicious and not overly sweet. I like my coffee drinks to still taste like coffee. The witch's brew is my fav. Also, they use coffee icecubes in their iced coffees! The staff is fantastic. You can tell they all enjoy working there. Fun and playful but not the in your face corporate mandated customer service type of way. 100% recommendation.“

Parking: There is a free parking lot off the alley behind the building. A bit hard to find, but I've always found a spot there.“

“It's truly amazing what Jerry has done to improve this place since taking over for Mike. It's cleaner, more coolers and no warm stock. There's a sink for staff now and the general renovations such as paint, flooring and more seating have done wonders for the ambiance. Patrick and Ben are great beertenders too. “A fantastic Friday evening wine tasting. We reserved a table perfect for us and our grandkids. We adults are vaccinated and boostered and wanted a place safe for us and our unvaccinated 2 and 3 year old. The owners and staff were super accommodating! We had delicious excellent Pinot Noir( 92 Wine Enthusiast rating) and-a súper Cabernet Sauvignon. Very accommodating. Wait staff always masked which we are so thankful for. “My wife and I were visiting Eugene to see family and we decided to take a leisurely drive through the countryside and came upon Silvan Ridge and stopped in. We really enjoyed the views and the wine. We bought several bottles and had them shipped home to North Carolina. However, our favorite part of our visit was meeting Kathy and her friend Eddie the Crow. I highly recommend looking for them when you visit. You won’t be disappointed.“
