Poppi's Anatolia Reviews
Very nice lunch at new 5th Street location with long time Eugenians who dined with Poppi in the early days at the 1st taverna. A real delight was the very knowable history the current staff embrace, great training here matches great food!
Poppi’s Taverna was a great meal with great service and very good cocktails! I will be going back for more.
The best Gyros we have had in town!!! Elle our usual girl is amazing and sweet. It’s always a sad day when she’s not working. The rest of the staff if a bit off putting but the food is great!
Poppi's Anatolia offers fresh, authentic Greek food at a low price, with huge and delicious portions. The restaurant features a beautiful building and friendly service, creating a cozy vibe that transports diners away from the downtown area into a more intimate space. They have a diverse menu, including Greek and Indian dishes, with recommendations for the lamb souvlaki, which is tender, juicy, and well-seasoned. Customers praise the excellent vegan options and fairly priced appetizer menu, along with delicious cocktails that add to the overall experience. The atmosphere feels warm and inviting, making it a charming spot in Eugene. While the food and ambiance are highly praised, some customers noted slow service, especially as the evening progresses, and that mezze dishes like the artichoke and potato were sometimes served too cold, reminiscent of leftovers from the fridge. Despite these minor issues, the restaurant's charm and inviting feel make it a must-visit spot. Located near the Hult Center, it's a convenient stop before a show or for outdoor dining in the summer. Overall, Poppi's Anatolia is a quaint bistro serving up delicious and exotic dishes worth trying, and its friendly staff and great drinks make it a memorable dining experience.
