If you have a special dietary need, tell them and the staff is so understanding. They have amazing vegan pastries. The vegan chocolate croissants are to die for! I live two hours away, but will return to Eugene again and again to try everything on their menu.“

“1st time at this establishment. I watched the owner/operator freshly press out by hand the pizza dough, adding toppings requested. I asked for a full pizza and owner was incredibly chill and kind in processing my late night dinner. Reasonable cost for size of pizza came to $30, the pizza was huge and without asking he delivered it to me to my car. The taste was absolutely incredible, even my spouse couldn't get over how good it was. Was going to post a photo, but we ate it 1st. It was that good. The chalkboard menu reads like a postcard from Lyon written by someone who’s been drinking since noon. There’s filet mignon, of course. There has to be. And when it arrives, the steak wears its sear like a medal earned in battle. The pommes frites stacked beside it on the appetizer plate sits with the quiet arrogance of something that knows Belgium and France have argued over them for centuries. “This is one of my favorite dinner spots! I super love the ginger goji berry tea served in the winter. I also love the beef noodle soup with sauerkraut here. I also love the chili oil dumplings and cucumber salad here. If there's any complaint, it's not much but we often have to wait a long time for our food - most of the dishes are served but there's always a dish ...... that isn't served.“

“They are excellent at customer service and have a high quality product. This is not your typical ice cream, they do have some odd flavors. Taste them, you might like them. My favorite is strawberry balsamic vinegar black pepper. It's delicious. I was less fond of the pear blue cheese, pears are fabulous, but the blue cheese bite was not quite working for me, but I have a very unrefined palate. They do have more normal flavors, I had peach pie flavor during that season. They have seasonal flavors. I'm on a mission to keep trying the weird flavors, so I'll be back, often. It ruined me for other ice cream because it is an adventure. I save all my ice cream calories for them. I get the 2 half scoops in a cup. Look at the menu before you go. This is not your typical ice cream shop. That being said, they have a freckled mint chocolate chip that looks delicious made with NICE ingredients, and a double fold vanilla, that sounds delicious, and a couple of decadent chocolate ones, (I'm avoiding chocolate for the time being and I'm still playing with the odd flavors). Next stop...olive oil. I heard its great.“

“Oh my god... the poutine!!! My first time.. and yes, a die and go to heaven moment. Fries smothered in gravy with cheese curds! We just ate at Falling Sky Brewing I had the most luscious cubano! With crispy and juicy shredded pork, ham, cheese and pickles squished to deliciousness. And the perfect amout of mustard... the mustard is what makes it for me! With a side kale ceasar, a perfect pairing. Hubby had the Ruben, with house made pastrami and saurkrawt. Not too sour, on a marbled rye. He loved it. Son had a grilled chicken club with parmesagn garlic fries. Another win! We all drank their homemade ginger ale and root beer.“

“I love this restaurant. I've been going here for years. I always recommend it to people that are looking for a great locally owned gem, have just moved here or are visiting. I love the authentic Italian food. And the building is a very cool older house with a great feel to it. I think its very romantic and a nice place to treat yourself/loved ones. Its privately owned by 2 Italian gentleman. Hence the name. Sometimes they will be at the restaurant and are very friendly and fun to talk to. I highly recommend.“

This makes me a little picky about strange things like, employee retention, a love and involvement from owners, a mutual respect among employees, excellence in service, attention to details. Last but not least- knowing their customers- how they like how what when and where is remembered and held somewhat sacred. Being a regular here is being part of a family as staff or clientele. “I had the duck and it was so fantastic. From the outside I had my doubts, but I had reviewed the menu online and it peaked my curiosity. I will say, I read reviews and there were many comments about one of the greeter, and I will somewhat agree he could smile and be more pleasant. He just seemed sad almost. Our waiter was pleasant. The food would have received 5 stars, however they got my husbands order wrong and had to redo his order.“

We finally found the gem in the corner of 18th and Chambers. It is called the Angkor Cafe. The food is absolutely amazing. People you got to put this place on your next stop. The chickpea spread was almost non-existent. I paid $8 but it was worth about $1.50. I do NOT recommend this sandwich or this place.“
