Kinda sad about all the bad reviews about this place. Glad I didn’t read it before going otherwise I would have never gone. Yes we waited a few minutes to get seated but to me that’s normal from a busy popular place. Our food did take some time but it wasn’t terrible. I’m guessing people these days don’t know patience. Come for the hot chocolate, stay for the hot chocolate, think about leaving, and then realize you should probably take a hot chocolate for the roadParking: Don’t show up at 6pm on a busy weekend night and expect to park near the lodge.

The lighting in the dining area is very low. My food experience was not up to expectations. I had the pork entre, and the potatoes were way overdone. The view of the surround wilderness and snow caps was very breathtaking. It's the only good thing to take away with you. Bar is fully stocked and my friend thought it was the one from the Shinning, however, the exterior of the hotel is what was used in the movie.
