Note: We were the only full table of brown people in the restaurant at the time of this event. My family is Asian American, my boyfriend is African and my baby is mixed. Part of my family was here to snowboard, so we drove up to meet them for a nice lunch at this restaurant. It was definitely a busy time at the lodge. “Aromatic white bean chili” was $14 it was a tiny portion of pinto beans and no meat and it was cold by the time it got to us. Very underwhelming. Had to resort to getting food downstairs and the waitress informed us no outside food was allowed so we packed it up right away. Then she came by and said “do you mind if I get rid of these for you” after we had taken one bite and put the lids on to leave. Super rude about it. The food was hearty and not bad for bar food. The servings are huge so the place over indexes on quantity versus quality. I would keep expectations low regarding it being any sort of fine dining spot. The servers were really nice both times we stopped in over the three days we were there.
