It’s a small, tucked-away spot that we only share with a handful of people because we love being able to stop in and enjoy a fresh, consistently amazing bowl of ramen without the crowd. The quality is always spot on, no matter the day. The waitress always remembers our order, which makes it feel like home, and the cook always greets us with a smile. That kind of warmth and consistency is rare, and it’s one of the many reasons we keep coming back. Wu-Ron’s is one of those hidden gems you want to keep to yourself, but honestly—it’s too good not to recommend!“

“We live 3/4 across the country in Indiana but every time we come to town we always visit the Ale & Cider House. The lady who owns the place and always seems to take care of us and is always very friendly. As for the beers and ciders they are the best we’ve had. Loved the ciders before they filtered them but still taste just as good but without the “look”.😉 A true gem that you must try next time you are in the quaint little town of West Linn. Thanks for the awesome drinks and hospitality!!“

“We needed Gluten Free for some in our group and Backpacker Pizza did not disappoint! They have 3 more families as fans! Everything we got was delicious and gobbled up. Our group was so grateful for the delicious GF options.

The braised lamb pasta was full of meat and had great texture and taste. The pizzas were all beautiful, fresh, and tasty. Nice to know they have vegan cheese as well. But the dessert by Sugar and Spiess took the cake so to speak! Wow! Still cannot believe it was Vegan.

Lots of beverages with lots on tap! The lemonade is not your regular lemonade so kids may not appreciate it, but adults sure do! They were so kind to make sure we were happy. Thank you!

The service was on point even though they were slammed due to a busy downtown First Friday. It was a 45min wait!

Parking is ample, but when it's busy, it's luck of the draw. They have patio and indoor seating. Clean restrooms.

Prices are a little higher, but they seem to use quality ingredients. The pizza is a good size for 2-3 depending on appetite. We also liked the fact that they gave a military discount.

We went in at 2pm and were one of three tables so due to that our food came out really quickly and it was very peaceful during our dining experience. Jessica was genuinely welcoming and had great advice on both the portions and the ingredients in the dishes. We loved everything and can't wait to treat ourselves again when the occasion arises 🫶“

“On top of the food being amazing, if you eat-in, they serve you, and the food is plated in a really nice way! The employees we interacted with were so nice!!! (Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures of the food/presentation, we were too busy shoving the delicious food in our faces) but the food was amazing, chicken was crispy and the soy garlic flavor was very pleasant, fries were thick and crispy, and the sauces were a good match. “Great local taproom. They play great music on a double record player, and great live music on the weekends. The cider in particular is very good. The food is hot or miss, the pizza is great if a little pricey, the apps and sandwiches are getting better.

“They have an excellent staff. It is a great causal place to dine or just have drinks. The food is 5 stars for sure. We have had their Caesar Salad , roasted cauliflower and French fries. They have a great wine selection and it is very fun to sit outside in the sunshine. We are looking forward to ordering dinner as we just have had snacks while we wait for our grandchildren to get out of a class.“

“This is another gem in the McMenamins line of fun, historical establishments - and by far my favorite! Been here many times over the years - actually even had my very first lobster roll EVER here (as a special item years ago) and it was amazing. The vibe is so quirky - you definitely feel like you’re walking the halls of your old elementary school - except there are bars and a lively restaurant and even a brewery haha!! The staff has always been super welcoming and friendly. The food at their main Courtyard Restaurant has always been great. On my last visit (July 2023), I had their chicken salad sandwich on croissant and it was SO GOOD!! Even their tater tots were perfectly cooked. And they even have some of the best iced tea I’ve had outside of the south! Their menu changes seasonally so it’s always a treat to try something new. After eating, leave time to explore - the grounds are just gorgeous and you’ll get lost in the nostalgia as you wander around the old school’s hallways. They have several bars - one is huge and has total steampunk vibes. They have a small hotel and a salt water pool - even the bathrooms are beautiful. I’d definitely like to stay here next time - but I imagine it can be a tad spooky at night haha! The school opened back in 1915 so it’s a historic building. The wall art is gorgeous and there are lots of info signs and historical pics scattered around. It’s in a good location in north Portland with plenty of parking and easy to find. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area!“

“My husband and I wandered in here on a whim on a Friday night and ended up being pleasantly surprised by the food! We both had Gorges burgers and I had a Mt. Defiance imperial IPA. The burger was cooked to perfection and the beer was delicious. Service was great, too. We’ll be back!“

“I had always gone to the McMenamins restaurants in town at the coast and was really excited to check out this location! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was inviting. I got a salad and appetizer and was pleasantly surprised on how fresh the vegetables on the salad were. The hummus plate was really good too and even came with some pita bread that was warm and cozy in the middle. I met a friend in town and they wanted to share the experience with me and boy was I impressed!“

“Its been hard to be impressed lately. I’ve been in the industry for a number of years, and post pandemic good help is scarce. It’s been an ongoing struggle for the restaurant industry and i just have to say that I didn’t feel that way about this place on any level. A party of around 14 of us were looked after so well by our server/s. The DELICIOUS food came out fast, and hot, and all at the same time! The vibe was chill and not frantic. atmosphere was perfect. Clean. I had the “Mr. October”. Fried chicken breast over a fresh homemade biscuit, sausage gravy, bacon, fried potatoes.. absolute fire. Paired with their bacon infused bloody Mary topped with candied bacon.. sheesh! Only bad thing I have to say is that it’s not on my side of town and that part sucks! 😂 Go out of your way for this one if you have to. Totally worth it.“
