“We’ve been coming to Wu-Ron’s Ramen for a while now—probably over 20 visits—and it never disappoints. It’s a small, tucked-away spot that we only share with a handful of people because we love being able to stop in and enjoy a fresh, consistently amazing bowl of ramen without the crowd. The quality is always spot on, no matter the day. The waitress always remembers our order, which makes it feel like home, and the cook always greets us with a smile. That kind of warmth and consistency is rare, and it’s one of the many reasons we keep coming back. Great rotating tap list and a limited menu of good quality bar snacks. Excellent pizza and salad orders are possible too, from neighbor Red Sauce Pizza. I keep returning for the chill environment for remote work in the afternoons and the friendly regulars watching the latest playoff game at the bar monitor. Try it out on a Tuesday eve when they have an popular bluegrass picking circle. It’s a great place to make new friends.“

“We live 3/4 across the country in Indiana but every time we come to town we always visit the Ale & Cider House. The lady who owns the place and always seems to take care of us and is always very friendly. As for the beers and ciders they are the best we’ve had. Loved the ciders before they filtered them but still taste just as good but without the “look”.😉 A true gem that you must try next time you are in the quaint little town of West Linn. “We met some friends for dinner after not seeing them for some time. Kasia was our waitress. She was a delight. We stayed longer than normal, catching up with friends. She did a great job never saying its time for you to leave. Didn't interupt our dinner, just kept everything coming like it should“

“I loved Backpacker Pizza! I saw an online promotion video for this place and knew I had to check it out. I came on a Wednesday at lunch and it was not too busy. The staff were super friendly and checked in on us a few times while we were eating. The Potato and Prosciutto Pizza was what we had and the fig jam on top was superb! I am definitely going back!“

“I stopped in there briefly during sandwich week to try out their 10$ sandwich they were promoting “its good to be king sandwich”

The chicken patty has good crispy batter, it seemed to be a ground chicken patty, it had good flavor, with a nice balance of spice as well as balance of chicken, bread, & veg (Arugula, red onion, aioli, tomato ) so it’s not too heavy of a meal.
It was a good sandwich. Nothing to write home about, definitely better than some ive had and paid more for though. Service was good too.“

“I popped in here for the first time several months ago for lunch and a glass of wine, and ended up having what could arguably be one of the best Italian cold cut sandwiches I’ve had in my life. Seriously, I wake up dreaming about that sandwich sometimes it’s so good. The pepper spread pulls it all together. My partner really enjoys the Cascadia Dip.

When it comes to their wine and beer selections, there is a lot to choose from. It’s a great place to take friends or family because there is something to suit everyone’s tastes. The service has been friendly every time, and the atmosphere is great. I feel like they did a great job maximizing their space without crowding tables so close together you’re bumping elbows with strangers. Amazing spot to try out if you’re in the area!“

Manager Kyle and Assistant Manager Jessica, their chef and wait staff make each dining experience exceptional. The unique menu offers scrumptious food. You will never be sorry you ate here. “This was my first time going here and I needed to write a review as soon as I finished my meal. I know a lot of people say they found the best spot when it comes to wings but they are all wrong. I don’t mean to glaze but it’s deserved. These wings were the best wings I’ve had in a while. The service was great. The girl at the cash register was extremely kind and I am happy she added those side sauces because they were delicious with the wings and fries. Also the place was nice and relaxing. 10/10 and taking my little sister and friends :)“

“This is another gem in the McMenamins line of fun, historical establishments - and by far my favorite! Been here many times over the years - actually even had my very first lobster roll EVER here (as a special item years ago) and it was amazing. The vibe is so quirky - you definitely feel like you’re walking the halls of your old elementary school - except there are bars and a lively restaurant and even a brewery haha!! The staff has always been super welcoming and friendly. The food at their main Courtyard Restaurant has always been great. On my last visit (July 2023), I had their chicken salad sandwich on croissant and it was SO GOOD!! Even their tater tots were perfectly cooked. And they even have some of the best iced tea I’ve had outside of the south! Their menu changes seasonally so it’s always a treat to try something new. After eating, leave time to explore - the grounds are just gorgeous and you’ll get lost in the nostalgia as you wander around the old school’s hallways. They have several bars - one is huge and has total steampunk vibes. They have a small hotel and a salt water pool - even the bathrooms are beautiful. I’d definitely like to stay here next time - but I imagine it can be a tad spooky at night haha! The school opened back in 1915 so it’s a historic building. The wall art is gorgeous and there are lots of info signs and historical pics scattered around. It’s in a good location in north Portland with plenty of parking and easy to find. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area!“

“Its been hard to be impressed lately. I’ve been in the industry for a number of years, and post pandemic good help is scarce. It’s been an ongoing struggle for the restaurant industry and i just have to say that I didn’t feel that way about this place on any level. A party of around 14 of us were looked after so well by our server/s. The DELICIOUS food came out fast, and hot, and all at the same time! The vibe was chill and not frantic. atmosphere was perfect. Clean. I had the “Mr. October”. Fried chicken breast over a fresh homemade biscuit, sausage gravy, bacon, fried potatoes.. absolute fire. Paired with their bacon infused bloody Mary topped with candied bacon.. sheesh! Only bad thing I have to say is that it’s not on my side of town and that part sucks! 😂 Go out of your way for this one if you have to. Totally worth it.“
