“I’ve been coming to the barrio since it opened almost 10 years ago and have always really loved this place! It’s my daily and special occasion go to, Chris, the owner is welcoming & warm as well as always accommodating! Dog friendly, best sangria in the city & a really awesome atmosphere :) 10/10 I couldn’t say enough!“
“What an awesome find. We stopped at BAR Botellon while wandering east towards dinner reservations and it was a delightful surprise. Service was awesome, and the vibes were intimate. Tons of great wine and beer options, tapas were tasty, and the atmosphere relaxing. Highly recommend.“
“I don't know if the service or food is better but both are incredible. I haven't had better pasta. The albacore bruschetta was one of the best appetizers I've ever hadm so was the burrata was this fry bread. Go back and get something else again. It's so good.“
“Great tap list, awesome employees, and the owners aren't the least bit afraid to stand up for human rights. Also, they share their location with a Black-owned food truck! ? (Erica's Soul Food. Get the Pretty Ricky Burger and ATL Lemon Pepper Hot wings!)“
“Tomorrow's Verse is one of our favorite Portland establishments. The beer selection is top notch, the space is open and inviting, and the staff is always welcoming. They offer savory hand pies and permit outside food too--there is a wealth of excellent food options all along NE Fremont. Additionally, Tomorrow's Verse has a patio area--it became our living room during the height of the pandemic. If you're into live music, Tomorrow's Verse frequently hosts bands and streaming concerts. I cannot recommend Tomorrow's Verse enough.“
“Wu-Ron’s is just objectively the best. My wife and I go basically on a weekly basis, and this has been the case since they opened a couple years ago. Everything is super consistent, broth is always perfectly balanced. Usually, when I get ramen at various places, I can’t finish the broth because it’s too much, like the salt adds up or it just becomes too rich. Not the case at Wu-Ron’s, I always finish everything. The pork and noodles are also consistently perfect, and the family that runs it is the nicest ever. It truly feels like home, and if I move away from Portland, this is the place I will miss the most.“
“I don't remember exactly which cider I got, doh! Some kind of refreshing lemony one I think. It was outstanding! The food truck inside was really tasty as well. I got the salad with shrimp and it had sooo much flavor. My only regret was that I shared it with two people - that was a mistake! I definitely needed more of this yumminess. And it's not very filling. My friend will kill me for this, but I thought the pierogis were just ok! Not enough contrasting flavors for me. But I've never had pierogis before so I have nothing to compare them to other than my own preferred tastes.“
“My partner and I come here every now and again, the server Tia is always so friendly and patient with us while figuring out our drinks and the comedy shows on Thursday nights are hands down the best and most well curated “underground” comedy in Portland. 10/10 would recommend if looking for a great taproom.“
“Thank you Ann for a fabulous experience for the 2024 Westland high school baseball auction. You went above and beyond to accommodate our large group and the food was amazing. We look forward to holding our next event with you soon. I highly recommend anyone looking for an event space to, go see, and she will definitely take care of you.Dietary restrictions: Handmade an amazing vegan dish for our event.“
“Great little neighborhood bar with vintage vibe. Rochelle was a great bartender! I gave only 4 stars instead of 5 because the music was awful for the 2.5 hours I was there. We would have stayed longer but listening to loud punk rock in a cool vintage bar didn't match and seemed most customers were also annoyed with music. That is a huge part of the experience.“
“Cute spot with a vegan section on their menu and yummy cocktails. I was very happy with my burrito bowl, the tofu was absolutely delicious. I got the tofu a la mexicana and my partner got the tofu al pastor. We were both very satisfied! Worth checking out if you’re vegan or vegetarian.“
“Very comforatable and relaxing with a kool and quite place to here your self think and have a beverage without that loud annoying drunk that never shuts down which has forced me to take my business else where alot of the time..bartenders seam to always have the time for you as well....amagine that“
“Went on a night when Murder Casserole Live was there and it was so much fun. Took my mother and my husband. We were the only new faces in the crowd but it was a lot of fun. Probably going to show up next month for the next Murder Casserole Live night.“
“I’ve been coming here since they opened. Hard to find a better place to grab a beer in Portland. The employee owners will take the time to learn what you like and always steer you in the right direction. They are absolute curators of tasty beverages either on tap or from the cooler. How crazy is it to have almost 50 reviews and all 5 stars? All you need to know. Thank you for a real good time!“
“Near as I can tell they did not have any food here but they did have awesome drink selections both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. They also have chess nite every Tuesday. The service is very friendly and the atmosphere reflects that. This place is located outdoors however so it may be cold sometimes but they do have heaters.Parking: They do not have their own parking lot But there is free street parking in the local neighborhoods“
“Nice little place, but parking can be a challenge. The street parking is limited and competitive. The place is larger inside than it appears from without. The beer is mostly German style, including the Ipa.There is outdoor seating for nice days. Inside, there is a foosball table and a couple of dartboards. I expect there would be a busier atmosphere if the parking situation was better.“
“I have been coming here for years. Recently I went to pick up cans and there was nothing fresh in the fridge. Only some that were canned back in September thought that was really weird. A lot of guest taps as well, not sure if they're uninspired or don't care enough to make more of their own beers. I was about to come in a buy $60 worth of cans to take home but there aren't any. Owner is really nice though so I'll try again later.“
“Amazing queer space! Loved the vibe and everything about it. Went to a drag show hosted by Coco Jem Holiday and Autumn Rainz and it was seriously amazing; best drag show I've ever been to! Thank you Misfits Bar for hosting events like this!“
“Absurdly awesome menu where everything on it from top to bottom is inspired cooking. The wings and their flavors are awesome. Raspberry Habanero? Woahhh. ? The sides and deserts are too. Fried apple rings with caramel dipping sauce? My goodness... ?You'll be mighty glad you stopped here over Wing Stop anytime. ?“
“The customer service is exceptional, on top of that the food was made with so much love. The crunchy crust, fresh ingredients melted into my mouth so flawlessly. This place is the best pizza place I have ever been to and will come back again in the future.“
“We stopped in today for some lunch. Their service was over the top and all the staff were so kind and very friendly. My son loved his burger. One staff member drew a picture of Bart Simpson that looked liked my son. Matching shirt and eye color. My son loved it, it was such a cool thing to do. The wall art is amazing and the place just has a great feel. Good food, at a good price, with amazing service. We will make it a point to eat their again when we visit Portland.Thank you.“
“Sooo good! Had the Half & Half Boneless Soy Garlic & Hot King along with the Cheese Ddukbokki and everything was fantastic! The chicken isn't too heavily-battered, making for a meal that didn't leave one feeling heavy or gross. Preferred the Hot King, but the garlic was coming strong on the Soy Garlic so not bad at all. The real star was the Ddukbokki.Hard to describe but the Ddukbokki or "rice cakes" are like these cylindrical small rolls of rice-doughy goodness coupled with what seemed like kimchi all in an almost marinara-like sauce. Coupled with the cheese on top, the whole thing comes together in a way that almost feels like Korean mixed with Italian. I'm still not describing it well but highly recommend it. Delicious and comforting, can't wait to try again. The vibe is chill (we had the place to ourselves so that was nice). K-Pop on the television. Service quick and sweet. Really cool spot. Highly recommend!“
“Alright, new to this area. Highly suggest a stop here. Bartender is super cute and friendly. Other guests are kind and interactive. Definitely a home town feel that makes guests feel welcome and accepted too. Bartender great at helping you navigate the different beers so you find one you like. Safe, clean and welcoming. Love it!!“
“Jeff, the patron, has filled the establishment with his own eclectic mix of offerings. The choices of beer and wine demonstrate that the selection has been planned for diversity and enjoyment. The atmosphere is great and feels like the neighborhood bar that we want to walk to.“
“This place is cozy with a fireplace on one wall. I discovered it one night and they had a live musician playing music. I think they called themselves Bex. It was really chill. Violinist, multy instrimental, with a voice of an angel. Bartender was nice, and they had Mead! It was good. Never have I ever had Mead before and I don't think I will be drinking anything else there. I felt as though the ombions took me into a modern version of a Viking tavern. Loved it. Totally recommend you checking it out.“
“Just grabbing some suds with some industry colleagues was a great experience. I ordered a beer, and when the waitress saw that it had more bubblies than it should, she brought me a fresh one, no questions asked. Always refreshing to get to notch service!“
“I found this pub by googling darts in West Lynn. They have a nice dart board and a smaller sized shuffleboard, both tucked in the back in their own rooms. There's no charge to play. They have a decent selection of beers on tap and a non-alcoholic CBD option. I didn't notice the food or other drinks, but they had a few bottles of alcohol on display, so they do some cocktails too. We got gyros from the place next door. It's great that they allow you to bring food in! The owners weren't there that night, but Katie was managing the place by herself and she was very attentive and friendly. This is a great place to meet some locals at the bar, play some games, or watch some sports.“
“Great beer selection, but unsanitary because they let pets inside. In one instance a dog was jumping up with it’s feet on the table and drool literally was dripping from it’s mouth on to the table. Dog bowl sitting on the counter. Must be a health violation. Such a shame because the beer selection is amazing.“
“One of the best taprooms and bottle selections in the Portland Metro. Period. Seriously, not a wasted tap or spot in their fridges on mediocre brews. I’ve been going for years, and they always have an amazing selection. The music isn’t half bad either.“
“Chris, the owner of Addabeer, is an outstanding bartender. He excels in providing attentive service and possesses extensive knowledge about the wide selection of beers, ciders, and wines available at the establishment. Not only is he extremely friendly, but his wit and personable nature contribute to a delightful atmosphere. Furthermore, the choice of music adds to the overall experience, enhancing your enjoyment while savoring your beverage. I highly recommend visiting Addabeer based on Chris's exceptional service and the overall ambiance provided.“
“Loved the food! #1. #2 l Loved the waiter! He was attentive and nice and really adorable. #3 The atmosphere was ok, the hand made pictures on the wall were distracting, they were in no way professional looking, it looked like someone's kid did them. Not ready for show yet. You were better just keeping the photographs up. (Sorry for that comment, it must be someone's person who painted them.) But, if you dont mind supporting beginning artist the food was GREAT and the service was excellent!?“
“We had a very good meal at a good price. Our waiter Brad was so on top of things, quick to respond and service was good. There were five staff members standing around which was frustrating as the place was so busy. We ate at 5:30 on a Saturday. So glad we got the good waiter. Julie“
“Never a bad dining experience, usually seats available at the the bar when it gets busy. Dishes prepared with care, a small menu with plenty of options. Well thought out concept and great use of space. You will not be disappointed in their offerings or reasonably priced drinks.“
“Don’t let the checkered paper lined baskets fool you, the food is definitely a few notches above “bar food”. In fact, my Warm Brussels Salad was flat out fantastic! They offer a good number of beers on tap, and mix up very a tasty cocktail, too. I had a Crystal Beach Daiquiri, which features a loganberry cordial along with a blend of rums, which was a stunning berry color and fantastic flavor.Service was excellent, and they were able to accommodate our group of eight easily- though we did get there fairly early in the evening.“
“Fantastic 'market' destination with food and drinks, don't let the quiet street front put you off. The Taproom bar has great selection of local craft beers and incredible cocktails. Awesome service as well - learnt loads about good spots in Portland to hang out.“
“I had always gone to the McMenamins restaurants in town at the coast and was really excited to check out this location! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was inviting. I got a salad and appetizer and was pleasantly surprised on how fresh the vegetables on the salad were. The hummus plate was really good too and even came with some pita bread that was warm and cozy in the middle. I met a friend in town and they wanted to share the experience with me and boy was I impressed!“
“I love getting lunch at Tight Tacos! It’s already a good deal for their delicious tacos overflowing with fillings, and then they also regularly send out awesome coupons. Plus, the people who work there are always cool. I just wish the Zipper had more parking.“
“My wife and I finally stopped by and it was 10/10 experience! The servers were awesome, super simple to be able to order (right from your table QR code) and someone quickly brings you your food. Worked really efficiently and staff was super nice! The beer was reaaaaaallllyy great, and the food was fantastic! May be the best nachos I've had in Portland, and the Lamb burger was On a side note they have these really cute and fun Jell-O shots Definitely come here!“
“We’re slacker West Linn residents that just ventured out to Willamette Garage for the first time and we were very happy with our experience. We went with our kids and there really is something for everyone! Husband tried Four Corners while the kids & I got items from Street Heat - all the food was delicious and servings were so big that we brought home a bunch of leftovers! It’s early February and it was nice and cozy by the fire feature. The garage is always hosting family friendly events (game & movie nights, special events, live music, etc), so keep an eye on their calendar! Next time we come hubby has his eyes set on Electric Slider Co and I’m looking forward to trying Chop Spot & Pinto Thai!“
“Had a couple excellent stouts here. Amazing beer list and lots of bottles/cans to go. Tons of outside seating (the whole street is blocked off for seating and I love it). Nice little bar snacks. Take a walk up/down division, sit down and relax. The best spot for beer (or wine or cider or expresso martinis) on Division.“
“A down-to-earth bar that I feel nails the recipe of a neighborhood staple. I’ve always felt welcomed every time by the awesome bartenders and any of the other people at the bar. The rotation of their beer list keeps things fresh, but they’re always stocked on the staples (shoutout to fans of a Rainier over an IPA ??)“
“Ordered some draft beers, onion rings, and a couple of smash burgers after a bike ride. Hit the spot! Service was fast and the food was fresh. My partner and I especially liked the onion rings, but felt like the smash burgers could have used a little more seasoning. Overall, perfect spot for a casual lunch. Lots of beers and wine to choose from!“
“The biscuits and gravy with Portuguese sausages was fire. I stopped in here for Brunch and was pleasantly surprised by this cozy bar right on Sandy. The church theme decor was very elegant and welcoming and the art are the ceiling is magnificent. Plus they had Dodgeball playing in the projector.“
“The best experience I've ever had so far in Portland. Every single person I have met there from the patrons to the staff to the owner are some of the best people I have ever met in my life. I feel so lucky to have found out about this place&you will feel the same after you have gone here.“
“I came in during a slower time while the staff was having a vibrant convo about Full House. I was hoping they'd shift the discussion to Family Matters, which was the better show, and THEY DID.Coffee was great, and atmosphere here was even better. Would return on next visit to PDX.“
“Cool place with great food. We had some pregnant waitress that killed the vibe though. If she worked for me, the bad attitude and her hormones would be gone. You can't have someone like that interacting with the public. I felt like I was at the DMV or talking to an IRS agent, not out getting a taco and beers on my day off.“
“Roscoe’s is a fun dive bar with pool, drinks, and serves sushi from the restaurant next door-Miyamoto’s.When we first arrived, there wasn’t any seating so we played a round of pool. The table takes quarters, so you may need to head to the bar to grab coins. A table quickly opened up next to the pool table so we grabbed it. It was busy for a bit, but the place did empty out after a while. There’s also some pinball to play.If you are wanting to buy Miyamoto’s sushi from Roscoe’s, you do need to purchase something from Roscoe’s as well. I think this can be food, alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks. We ended up buying the chicken strips appetizer. It was good, but I do wish the chicken was crispier.Bathroom is sketchy and dirty, hold it in if you can!Overall a chill place that I would return to and grab a drink.“
“Terrible playlist?? Unbelievable!Kidding, the music and food are wonderful. The atmosphere/‘vibe’/ambience is very cozy and pleasant. Bartenders are great, the massive selection on beers and whiskey is great. Easily one of my favorite places here in Portland.“
“This is another gem in the McMenamins line of fun, historical establishments - and by far my favorite! Been here many times over the years - actually even had my very first lobster roll EVER here (as a special item years ago) and it was amazing. The vibe is so quirky - you definitely feel like you’re walking the halls of your old elementary school - except there are bars and a lively restaurant and even a brewery haha!! The staff has always been super welcoming and friendly. The food at their main Courtyard Restaurant has always been great. On my last visit (July 2023), I had their chicken salad sandwich on croissant and it was SO GOOD!! Even their tater tots were perfectly cooked. And they even have some of the best iced tea I’ve had outside of the south! Their menu changes seasonally so it’s always a treat to try something new. After eating, leave time to explore - the grounds are just gorgeous and you’ll get lost in the nostalgia as you wander around the old school’s hallways. They have several bars - one is huge and has total steampunk vibes. They have a small hotel and a salt water pool - even the bathrooms are beautiful. I’d definitely like to stay here next time - but I imagine it can be a tad spooky at night haha! The school opened back in 1915 so it’s a historic building. The wall art is gorgeous and there are lots of info signs and historical pics scattered around. It’s in a good location in north Portland with plenty of parking and easy to find. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area!“
“Friend and I stopped in for a weekday lunch and were blown away by the fast service and delicious food/cocktails. Our food came out quickly and steaming hot. Plus the fried ice cream was perfect with a large enough portion to share. The patio seating was pleasant and indoor decor is nice, I would love to return during dinner hours sometime. We had crema enchiladas, elote, queso, fried ice cream, Jamaican marg, and piña colada. Would absolutely recommend all.“
