“Every morning, I return to this Starbucks. Not because I need it—no, I need oxygen. I choose this place. And isn't that the most delicious kind of dependence?

The staff know me. They don’t say they know me, but they give me that look. That soft, caffeinated pity reserved for people who clearly don’t make their own coffee anymore. “One grande Americano with an extra shot, please. And a little hope, if you’ve got any left in the back.”

Do I sometimes question the cost? Of course. But there are worse habits. And fewer that taste this good.

“More like 3.5 stars. The service was excellent and the workers were really friendly. However, I disliked the food, they overpowered the sandwich with mayonnaise and the strawberry lemonade was not mixed so all the syrup was at the bottom. A little overpriced but not too ridiculous. “I have been drinking Capitol Press Coffee for over a year now and it's hard to drink anything else! The coffee is fresh, smooth, and there are several different flavor profiles to choose from so there's a coffee for everyone! So glad I found Capitol Press coffee!!“

“Their esspresso drinks are only okay, everything else has been consistently lovely. There have been pastries I tried and didn't like but they were in the minority and it was worth trying new things. The seating areas are slightly crowded.
But man these pastries are worth every peny.
I liked their matcha, and I'm fairly picky about matcha.“

“Everyone here is usually pretty friendly and efficient. It’s annoying that you can’t reward them with a tip unless you have cash on you. I mean we are living in the days of tech. And you can’t add a tip through paying with the app or using your debit card.“

“My wife took our 5 month old son out for a quick drive to Dutch, but he started crying while in line to pickup her order. It was an ugly cry, and my wife was worried about baby of course. The staff here noticed the situation and told my wife that the drink was on the house, and to keep up the great work, raising a healthy little boy. She was moved to tears, and she called me immediately to tell me what happened (tears were flowing 🤣). These little details, small as they may seem, make SUCH an impact on people.
