“I got my food to go. I’d never been here before. The host that was going to seat me was super friendly, took me over to the take-out kiosk, showed me how to use it, and explained items on the menu. I ordered one of his suggestions and it was incredible! I’m so glad I went with his suggestion. I made my order, paid for it on the kiosk, and about 10 minutes later, the host brought my meal. Super friendly service! Very quick service. And delicious food. Try this place out. It is great!“

“Christmas Eve dinner from Wingstop. One of the few places open for us to pickup dinner after Candlelight Service at church. We placed our order on their app and it was ready when we picked it up. We ordered an array of wings to please all tastes as well as 3 large orders of fries. We get home, food is hot and flavorful as well as the sauces that accompanied the wings. Everyone seemed to enjoy the rustic feast as we heard zero complaints. Wingstop makes good wings and this location on Barrows Rd provided us with a very nice Christmas Eve dinner.“

“I’m new to the Cheerful Tortoise and I’ve been driving by it most of my life. I had no idea that it’s been around for over 75 years which is pretty amazing… And it is right in the middle of Portland State University and is a home away from home for people who need a place to go on holidays or special occasions when everybody else has family. I met Amy and heard her story in an interview… And feel like she is providing a place that is the heart of the downtown community in a very open way. I went last night for hip-hop night and the skill set of the DJs was off the chart… DJ Wicked and DJ Good Fortune are two of the nicest men I’ve met in a long time in the DJ world. They are an old-school staple and people have no idea how blessed we are to have their skills and music selection in our community. The staff at the restaurant everybody has been very kind and friendly to me. Everybody that was in the restaurant the two times I’ve been there seem to truly enjoy themselves and there were families with kids along with people playing pool and lottery in the back. It kind of feels like a hobbit bar because of its age….. I like it. It deserves my patronage and you can feel the history in it. I really dig how it feels. Nothing like a good old dive bar from old Portland… I’m a little late, figuring it out but with their happy hour specials and their drink night specials this is a place I can afford. It’s pretty evident that the people leaving reviews on here are using the cancel culture tactics which is very tired. I was actually one of the people who also complained about what the Portland Pickles were doing and was grossly offended by all of it. It had nothing to do with drag. It had everything to do with kids putting dollar bills in the thong of a pickle that was dressed like a stripper and the penis that was coming out of some of the images talking about Uranus. I immediately withdrew my child from Baseball camp and want nothing more to do with the organization. It’s embarrassing. The people leaving these reviews are sick and mean and hateful. These are not honest reviews. It’s just a testimony of people operating at a lower level who enjoy hating others = the exact thing they’re complaining about. The people who yell from the mountain topped the loudest are the ones who are actually displaying the behavior. I met Amy briefly and can tell immediately that as a mom, a business owner, and somebody who has spent her time at this bar…. you can feel the love she has for community. When I was at hip-hop night, there were people from all walks of life, genders, preferences, etc. I don’t know what these people are talking about but definitely don’t overlook a place that has history in Portland!“

“I placed an online order earlier in the day and scheduled it for delivery later in the evening so it would arrive around the time my family got together 🍕😊. Surprisingly, the pizza showed up about 15 minutes earlier than expected. When we opened the boxes, we realized that some of the pizza combinations and sizes seemed mixed up, which left everyone a little confused at first 😅.

I decided to call the restaurant and calmly explained the situation. The staff handled it incredibly well and were very understanding. Without any hassle, they immediately fixed the mistake and even sent out a completely new order for delivery! 🚗💨

“During this Coronavirus shut down of places, I'm home with the kids. Tired, and not feeling like I wanted to cook around lunch time. I went on my App like usual, and ordered delivery with a $100 bill (that's all I had on me). My Pizza Hut in Sherwood was closed, but their App did not tell me that. It was probably 45:minutes until I see our delivery driver park outside the house. First thing he said was that he was really sorry for taking so long, that Sherwood was closed and his Tualatin location was taking Sherwood's orders!! I was amazed! I ordered a bunch so they could give me enough change. I thanked him for coming all this was to deliver to me, and that he did me a solid favor. I'm home alone with our youngest baby, and was starving. You bet he got a $20.00 tip!! Thank you all so much for working twice as hard and taking on twice the work currently. “I had a fantastic experience at Dick's BBQ! The food was absolutely delicious, tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The brisket was juicy, the ribs fell right off the bone, and the sides were just as impressive. You can tell they put a lot of care into both the quality and preparation of their food.

What really stood out, though, was the service. She was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure customers had a great experience. She was so attentive, efficient, and happy to answer questions and offer recommendations.

If you're looking for great BBQ served with outstanding customer service, Dick's BBQ is definitely worth a visit. I'll be back for sure!“

“My wife and I have been loyal Dominos fans for about a decade. We tried Pizza Hut again because of a deal they had. It was well worth the try. The food was amazing. The crust was crispy, the ingredients were real, and the overall flavor was perfect. The onsite staff were on point, helpful, cheery, and seemed to truly enjoy their job. The only complaints that we had... it could have used a little more pepperoni and could have been baked 2 minutes longer. Goodbye Dominos and Hello Pizza Hut.“

“My girlfriend and I stopped by the cart today and got the Street Mac. We both love a good cheesey and sorta soupy mac. The street mac is their take on Street Corn Elote with mac and cheese and it was DELICIOUS. We got just the regular portion and it was big enough on its own for us to share. Good price for it too, $15. The guy who was working also seemed really polite, my girlfriend, who ordered, said he was very formal and kind. We wanna come back and try the fried mac and cheese and check out even more of their other options.“

“I've been ordering from this Dominos for years and usually have pleasant experiences. Maybe it's because I live nearby (less than a mile from the store), but the food always arrives fast and piping hot. The delivery drivers are always friendly, and I like that Dominos seems to be one of the last remaining pizza chains to still employ their own delivery drivers while everyone else is outsourcing to Doordash.

On the rare occasions when there's a long wait, Dominos will send me an e-mail with a free pizza coupon, so I really can't complain.

“We just got BBQ to go from Dickey's BBQ now located next to the MOD pizza in the Cruse Meadows Commons off Meadows Rd. It takes a lot of faith to open up a new venture at any time and especially now. This is a chain and the owner is local. We tried the brisket, pulled pork and spare ribs. All had good flavor and were very tender. The ribs had a nice smoke ring and were falling off the bone. All the sides were good except we didn't love the beans. I liked the potato casserole (basically loaded mashed potatoes) and the cabbage slaw was like what you get it KFC or Safeway deli but not as sweet. We tried 3 sauces - Classic, Carolina and Sweet. Enjoyed all of them. They run a $12.99 special of the day that rotates and offer a free kids meal on Sundays with regular entree orders. Loyalty points are available thru their app. If you haven't tried them yet, reward their leap of faith and get your good bbq grub on.“
