“Came on a busy Friday night and it was packed, but was worth it! The girl with short hair and glasses deserves a raise — she was constantly moving, taking orders, running food, clearing tables, holding doors, and keeping the place clean, all with a great attitude!! You could tell she worked hard and cared. It was our first visit and we’ll definitely be back. The margarita pizza with ranch was delish! Good texture and flavor. Very clean and modern place! Not very cheap- but worth it!“

“I was so pleased to have stumbled upon this spot one solo afternoon in the Pearl. I had been craving pizza for months after recently going gluten-free for health reasons, on top of an existing corn allergy. I asked the staff upfront about their GF crust ingredients and they took my request very seriously, informing me that it is made of buckwheat and rice!!!!

I’m sure it can get busy during peak hours, but I loved being in on a slow Monday afternoon. Service was incredible and the food was fresh, flavorful and hit the spot. The arugula salad was such a delightful way to get in my bitter greens (doctor’s orders) and the spicy ginger ale is basically a yummy tonic for healthy digestion. Will definitely be back again soon!“

“I typically like thin crust pizza, but this thicker Detroit style pizza was delicious-we had the supreme and loved it! The atmosphere is fun and sort of has a nostalgic 70's basement rec. room feel with the pool tables and eclectic memorabilia. It's a good place to grab a beer and pizza and maybe play some pool. I can see it being busy on the weekends with young people. The staff were friendly too, I would say the guys more than the woman for sure.“

“We stopped in for lunch on a Saturday, very clean dining area. Could also see the kitchen area and it was also very clean. We ordered a veggie pizza with vegan cheese and some root beer. They have a selection of canned drinks and draft so there was a nice selection to choose from. Our pizza was so good, crust was crispy outside and fluffy soft on inside. We did add roasted garlic too, it was delicious. There were only two of us so we had pizza to take home, and it is great as leftovers. Updated from previous review on 2026-02-21“

“It’s giving YUM. Scottie’s is one of those rare PDX places where the consistency is comforting and every slice..every pie…every visit ALWAYS hits exactly the way you hope it will. The crust, balance of sauce to cheese, the attention to detail… it simply never wavers

“This is a pretty neat and family friendly place to go for some wood fired pizzas. It's located in the central eastside near OMSI. You can enjoy your meal in a restored train car. We ordered a few pizzas to share - pepperoni, pineapple express, and wood-fired mushroom. We also had a pepperoni garlic cheese bread with Caesar salad as well as some wood fired hazelnuts. The pizzas were well made with the crust having the right amount of chewiness to it. The mushroom pizza was my favorite of the three. The only bad part is that when we wanted more pizzas, the staff told us that they ran out of pizzas, which was a bummer.“

“Went to Rovente for the first time last night and OH MY GOODNESS WILL WE BE BACK!!! I'm new to the area and an absolute lover of pizza and this is the best I've found. I ordered a cheese pizza and a custom. We tried the cheese first and were so beyond stoked. If the cheese pizza was that good we couldn't wait to try our custom and oh my goodness I wish I had the words to explain how good it is. The crust is more on the thin side which I loved as it was firm with a bit of crunch but also soft and perfectly chewable. Their sauce was phenomenal, we got regular red on the cheese and spicy red on the other and both were amazing. The cheeses and toppings also were fresh and delicious! I think the gal working the counter was named Kat and I think she mentioned she was a manager, I told her it was my first time in and how excited I was to try you guys. She told me about how Rovente's is family owned and how amazing the owners are which are all things I love to hear as a customer. I also really loved her confidence that I was going to love the pizza and boy was she right! “First time here, and our first ever Detroit style pizza. Looking at photos of these pies you might think they're a bit heavy, but they're anything but. The focaccia crust is super-fluffy, and the toppings are also lightly balanced while also being very flavorful. The sausage is excellent, highly recommended. Service was fast & pizzas were very well presented. Ranch dressing is amazing, and I'm not a ranch dressing person. We brought it home, because I can't imagine putting it on pizza, especially carefully prepared pizza like this.

My pizza was prepared very well, the placement of the toppings were aesthetically pleasing. Matthew cooked the pizza really well, it was nice and crispy but and not like a crunchy chip crust like most of the mod pizzas I’ve been to. Great job team!“
