“What a great place for boba drinks. It is located in a newly developed area. All drinks appear to come with many slices of lime wedges. If you are a lime lover, this place is for you.

We had a custom drink with Thai green tea, lychee flavor and jellies. The other drink was from a pre-made menu. Both drinks are quite sweet but they were just right if you let the ice melt a little.“

I got the staff recommended drink (chocolate rose milk tea with strawberry popping boba); it was so good! I didn't hear what my partner ordered because I was reading the wall of community-written thank you notes, but his was a blended tropical something with jelly additions. That was super good too. “We come to Boba Cat Tea House pretty often since it’s close to where we live, and it’s become one of our go-to spots for boba.

I usually get matcha, which has really good flavor. Last time I tried it with strawberry compote added, and it was super yummy. My partner usually gets tea with lychee and really enjoys it as well. When we get boba, the pearls are consistently just right. Soft, chewy, and flavorful. The brown sugar milk tea is especially delicious.

I typically order 50% sweetness, which is perfect for me, while my partner prefers 100%, and both options work well depending on taste.

The shop itself is very cute inside and a great place to hang out, though we often grab and go since it’s so convenient for us.

While their menu might be a little less familiar to folks used to drinking Boba, I highly encourage getting a sample and trying something new. I love the soymilk slushy with boba or jelly. I have some allergies with MSG, so here in BEP there is no MSG in the food. My experience there was really good. Since the tea shop is based from Taiwan, their selection differs from that of the traditional Japanese tea shop menus. Here you will find not only black tea and milk options, but also Oolong, lemon tart, sparkling citrus, thick milk and more! They often have samples in shop, which by the way visually is a beautiful eco-modern interior with a frutiger aero almost aesthetic.
They use their own patented ‘tea espresso press’ which basically flash brews loose leaf tea like an espresso machine would. The taste is incomparable to most tea shops because they are incredibly high quality and flavorful! Any person who appreciates real attention to detail in brewed teas will likely notice and appreciate it. The drinks are also very customizable and come in cute little cardboard cuppies that have handles to carry your drink!
Definitely worthy of high praise as one of the best tea shop chains I’ve had the pleasure of visiting. 💕“

“This is a very creative Donut, Boba drink place, It has some innovative drinks with Cool shaped donuts. The place is very cute with a little arcade machine, it is a little bit dirty and needs some touch up paint but whatever lol. we ended up ordering The Japanese Einspeinner matcha it, the Dirty Tiramisu Latte, Pineapple Passion fruit drink, and a Blackberry donut. First of The match just tasted like Milk we got it remade but wasn't good still were assuming Low quality match or bad portions.(Workers said owner swaps matcha brands frequently.) The tiramisu was good tasted like a chocolatey Coffee with cinnamon pretty nice. The pineapple passion fruit had good flavor all around. The Blackberry Donut was good but small amount of blackberry drizzle.

I’ve tried matcha lattes at various spots around Portland and no one makes them as good as Olia Poke! Their matcha is not too sweet and the bright, fresh green flavor of the tea is the star. So many places the matcha flavor is absent (green milk) or it’s way too sweet. Olia strikes that balance perfectly. Love the staff too, they are so friendly!“
